Violence is definitely never the solution to your problems in daily life. In life, comes with great responsibility, especially when you're feeling down.

Hopefully anyone who likes the Land Without Feelings will appreciate this one.  I always loved the music in the scene where Tenderheart was climbing up the castle.  He just looked so tough and determined and full of justice. He really does strike me as a hero during that part.  So I wanted to give ma boi his due.

Nobody messes with Tendy.

Why does Tenderheart look so warm? I feel like if I saw him in person he'd see right through me and give me a hug, and it would be like I'm enveloped in a hot water bottle.

I tend to feel the same way you do, and for me, this is why:  Tenderheart still just makes me think of a big, soft, cuddly teddy bear. This kind of came up in another ask I answered a while back: https://carebearbro.tumblr.com/post/190635279945/i-was-imagine-that-tenderheart-was-one-of-the Again, I know all Care Bears are pretty much teddy bears.  But with Tendy, he’s that traditional brown, and his tummy symbol is just a straight up heart.  So there’s something more pure about him. No matter what version of Care Bears you watch, Tenderheart is always strong, but at the same time exudes pure love and warmth. For me, it kind of makes me think back to when I was a kid and why teddy bears were always so special.  They always gave me more powerful feelings than other stuffed animals.  That may be why I loved Care Bears so much. But teddy bears just have a way of making you feel safe, cozy, comfortable and at peace.  You feel like you can hug and cuddle them and everything feels perfect and right in the world. All of the Care Bears make you feel the same feeling, but I don’t think any grab onto that feeling the way Tendy does.  Because the other bears have bright colors or detailed tummy symbols, you feel like they represent something else.  In addition, sometimes the boy bears feel particularly masucline and the girl bears particularly feminine.  Tendy just feels right in the middle of that...it’s just a pure, powerful cuddly feeling of being accepted and loved. I don’t know if I’m wording any of this in a way that makes sense.  But even though Tenderheart isn’t my absolute favorite Care Bear (though he is near the top), there’s just something particuarly special about him that I love so much.

Tenderheart has, and always will be my favourite Care Bear.

Wholesomeness at its finest.

Ok.

A review of The No Heart Games (Final UTM Special/Episode, for now), i'll sum it up with pros and cons.

Pros:

  1. NO HEART'S BACK! and just a quick spoil, so is Beastly.
  2. The references to Nelvana's work on Care Bears overall (there's quite a few references that genuinely made my breathing intensify)
  3. Both theories some fans theorized were true: There is a competition-theme of sorts in this special (similar to The Great Race) and that the title of the special was a 'wink' from the writers that they're aware of the 80's cartoon and know, at least, who No Heart is.
  4. No Heart and Beastly's character designs are, for the most part, very faithful to the original and surprisingly work with the UTM art style.

Cons:

  1. No mention of Shreeky, at all.
  2. LAZY VOICE CASTING: I understand they couldn't get any of the original VAs for No Heart and Beastly, seeing that Chris Wiggins (No Heart from Nelvana Series), sadly passed away back in 2017 RIP, and John Stocker (Beastly from Nelvana Series) is in his mid- 70's, and likely couldn't do his Beastly voice for prolonged periods of time, if at all anymore. The current VA Cast for UTM is fine, though it felt like a cost-cutting measure to keep things simple and within budget.
  3. Without spoiling, the end of the special, along with the message/lesson we're supposed to learn felt kinda rushed, at least to me.

Regardless, i'd say it went out on a high note, not the worst of the 6 specials, but not the best either.

EITHER WAY, i highly recommend you check the special out.

@carebearscomfort does has the link, though you must DM them if you wanna watch it.

Well, I love this special, but it could've been better if Shreeky makes a huge impact, with the legendary Terri Hawkes reprising her role.
