I know it's a day earlier than usual, but i have a good reason.

It's my birthday today…

Here's a bunch of Birthday Bear pics from the "Birthday Bear's Blues" episode of the Nelvana series. Birthday Bear in many ways tends to be, um… "under-represented", but not forgotten.

He's one of the Original 10 Care Bears, not to mention he knows how to bring the fun similar to Funshine Bear, specifically if it's somebody's birthday.

One of the best eps ever, and the cutest Birthday Bear has ever looked.  

I’m glad they kept Birthday Bear golden colored cause his color reminds me of vanilla cake batter.

for a good moment, i thought this was Official Care Bears art... WOW!!! edit: even if it's based off of official care bears art, it's still SPOT ON nonetheless!

i was looking at animation cels and i found a bunch of care bears cels in an art style i never seen before (this isn't all of them btw i'm just showing off the general idea)

i thought it was for a commercial in the 80s and while i did found some in that art style, it was a lot shorter (maybe less than 5 seconds?) to focus on the toys. no matter where i looked, i couldn't find this exact one. and i just found 2 cels of i assume to be something different. same style but in a different setting like this theater

anyone care to help out?

"breathing intensifies" looks like the animation design is a nice hybrid mix of Atkinson's design (land without feelings and freeze machine) and Nelvana's quality and effort. my guess is this was supposed to be some sort of promo material AG wanted to make (celebrating the popularity of Care Bears maybe?), but either they couldn't find people to work on it or ultimately decided it was unnecessary and was left as a concept.

Nonetheless, it's still perfect.

It has the entire play written out, some activities, info on who all helped in making the play, and a coupon with the activity answers. It isn't a play by play of the play, so don't expect to read all the songs they sang. But it tells the whole plot of it at least.

I got this when I saw it in 2005 and I never wrote in the book, so I'm gonna share it all here for those that have never seen it and those that may want to see it again.

I remember the plushies were EVERYWHERE in this scene and before we even got in the theatre.

Poor grumpy, having to do all the work while everyone else plays.. also end of act one... I think?

huh. didn't know the mid-2000's live show came with a book. that's awesome!

only thing that kinda sucks is that there's no studio recorded version (at least to my knowledge) of both care bears' versions of "itsy bitsy spider" and "wacky moo moo" from the show.
