Is your child at the Teopoli Summer Experience? Here is an all new update for Term 3!
Hello Parents! I hope you're all enjoying the long weekend.
The children are having a fantastic time here at Teopoli. All of us cannot believe how fast Term 3 is going. We are already half-way through the term! For the last three days, the participants have played many activities including: Drama, Arts and Crafts, Music, Culture,Theology, Fishing, Canoeing, Hiking, Science and Sports have been enjoyed by all. Swimming is always a highlight but yesterday was too cold to go and the kids were upset. Hopefully this weather will change soon! On Day 3 we said the Rosary in the Chapel and made a candle rosary with the participants. Tonight is our Bonfire! Everyone is excited to participate in Mass in the beautiful outdoors, sing songs around the fire and make S'mores.

Is your child at the Teopoli Summer Experience? Here is an update since the children got there yesterday!
The kids had a fantastic first day yesterday! We were worried about the rain, but it turned out to be a beautiful and cool day. The children got to know each other through ice breakers, and they are all now bonding. The children had morning mass with Father Claudio, and learned about the Creation and how we are all God's masterpiece. They went swimming, played soccer and basketball, made arts and crafts, as well as gimp bracelets. An intense game of Taboo was enjoyed by all, and we began watching a movie to end the evening.
Today, August 2nd marks the start of morning Rotations! The participants are learning about artists with Olivia and the Passion of Jesus Christ with Andrew and Neil in Theology. Roles for our Passion Play have also been given by counselors Andrew and Emad. The kids are very excited about this! Elections are also happening tonight with the children. Each participant has the chance to run for various roles. After saying a speech, they will be voted by their fellow participants. Finally, the participants are starting their Afternoon Activity Rotations (Canoeing, Hiking, Fishing, Science and Space and Sports and Art).

It is Spiritual Day today!
We were supposed to have Olympic Day but God had another plan for us.The kids learned about the Servant of God, Sister Carmelina Tarantino C.P. , later the children watched Joseph King of Dreams, had Confessions and practiced the Passion Play.

Is your child at the Teopoli Summer Experience? Here is an ALL NEW update!
Today is BEAUTIFUL! Sunny and not too hot. It may rain for an hour when we are supposed to go swimming, but hopefully not!
We are doing Rotations and Afternoon Activities today!
Today's Rotation's are Theology with Neil and Andrew, making a human timeline with Catherine in culture, and learning all about music in the chapel with Sabrina and Cristina.
Yesterday's afternoon activities went very well! We had a canoeing competition, the kids did some science experiments, played "Bump" (a basketball game) and made bracelets. Some kids almost caught some fish!
These activities will be going on again, but the kids will rotate into a different activity.
Today's theme is Mary, Mother of God and we are playing a favourite, Capture the Flag this evening.
The kids are having a great time!

We got rained out a couple of times yesterday, but we still were able to swim! :)
Tonight, is elections, and a lot of them are getting excited! They will say their speeches, and all participants will cast their vote for the next Mayor, Pope, Mother Superior, Judge, Minister of Parks and Recreation, or Minister of the Environment. Find out soon!
Today the kids are doing rotations. They got their parts for the play, made some pictures with Olivia in Arts and Crafts and learned about the Passion of Jesus Christ with Neil and Andrew in Theology!
We are hoping to do some activities this afternoon. Canoeing, fishing, hiking, sports and art as well science will all be done if the weather permits!
The kids are rekindling their old friendships and making new ones!

The Teopoli Summer Experience (TSE) is not a summer camp, and it is not just a place of recreation for youth. TEOPOLI is a way of life for children and teenagers, 6 to 17 years of age. For 39 years, TEOPOLI has been providing young people and their families an environment where the values of family life are taught and experienced. Young people are encouraged to be responsible and independent through information about their Catholic faith, while enjoying themselves in many recreational activities in the secure and tranquil atmosphere of TEOPOLI Catholic Spiritual Center, located in the beautiful Muskoka area.
TEOPOLI itself boasts grand evergreens, a lake, river, waterfall, and meadows, all providing a deeply formative experience in a spiritual and recreational setting.
TEOPOLI is not a day program. Participants live at TEOPOLI for a 10-day period. This time away from home may concern many parents. But our TEOPOLI Summer Experience has been designed precisely to have quality time with the participants in order to address some of the most important concerns of today’s parents. TEOPOLI provides the best kind of formation for a positive self-esteem, a good character, a love for the family, and the knowledge and practice of the Catholic faith throughout life. TEOPOLI has accepted and continues to receive registrations for young people of others faiths as well, because of its high quality of teaching and activities.
The TEOPOLI Summer Experience also provides a qualified staff that endeavors to present contemporary social and spiritual issues to the young people in order to address the values and virtues necessary for a good and wholesome life. This is a demanding work at TEOPOLI, but it is accomplished among the activities of swimming, canoeing, arts & crafts, sports, music, culture, drama, theology, daily Holy Mass and rosary. The young people will make new friends, experience new patterns of good behavior and come to appreciate and enjoy the friendship and supervision of the councilors, as well as the supportive staff. Summer memories of TEOPOLI truly last a lifetime! -
