The bigger issue with Kylie Jenner: Racist white girls feeling justified in their appropriation of black culture, and then other cultures. Using the features of black women to further their own sexualization while maintaining their white privileges and not even bothering to speak up about the injustices regarding African Americans in America.

Have any of you considered that maybe she’s not racist, just uninformed? The Kardashians aren’t exactly known for their smarts. That is all. Jesus

Too fucking bad. She's not going to be babied when thousands of people have called her out on it, Amandla specifically addressed the issue as well. She's old enough to get informed, there's the internet and its not the first time people made comments about it. All she has to do is take a few minutes to check herself instead of acting like majority of white ppl do when shes called out; an entitled brat with no respect or regard for other people.

In the midst of social and political upheaval in Baltimore, retired police officer and US Marine Corps veteran Michael A. Wood Jr. turned to Twitter on Wednesday to share stories of all the awful shit he claims to have witnessed as a local cop. Apparently, Wood decided to tell his story after he “virtually begged local media to give [him] a voice.” Wood previously spoke out about his time in the force during a radio interview. A spokesperson for the Baltimore Police Department confirmed to the Huffington Postthat Wood was a former officer who retired last year.                      /source/

As people become more aware of police abuses, I think you’ll see more cops ratting themselves out. Read the fucking tweets! That’s fucked up! They are really the most disgusting and horrible people, from those that surround me. And a lot of them! Cops getting bigger every year. You know how dangerous it is for us, as citizens, and for America as a country. This asshole who snitched about them, no better than the rest of the motherfuckers. They all know what they doing and they all enjoy this shit.

Boooooost

but what did he do to actually stop any of this shit that he saw? not a damn thing, of course

“alleged shooter reportedly said, “I have to do it. You rape our women and you’re taking over our country. And you have to go,” according to a witness interviewed by NBC News.”

I’ve read reports that say they are still waiting for a “motive” as if the white supremacist imaginary of this Nation hasn’t constructed a motive for all anti-black violence already. What other motive is there for a terrorist in this country that takes luridly limited measures of justice against state violence and even racist violence against black people. The countless acquittals, sunken cases, media blackouts around the murder and terrorism that black people have been dealing with for centuries, the historic trend of revisionism, the support for “freedom of speech” that actively seeks to annihilate and wipe out the freedom and lives of other marginalized people, the mass incarceration of Black people, the political inertia around recovering missing persons who are Black, the Confederate flag that still is in the SC state capital, the preservation of historically revisions plantations, etc. What isn’t a better motive to those who seek to continue and carry out this nations agenda of destruction and hegemony on Black bodies? What motive are they looking for that hasn’t already been constructed and protected and platformed for generations of white terrorists to come? The motive for domestic terrorism in this country has always been nestled in white supremacist imaginary about the threat of the free Black body. Nothing better represents the free Black body than this church who’s foundation is built on resistance and the freedom of Black people and this shooting’s proximity to our Juneteenth holiday is no coincidence. This was a calculated attempt to terrorize not only black free space but to paralyze Black people’s desire to organize in public and still celebrate their freedom as well. And from shootings, to bombings, to lynchings and public attacks from the state of Black people in groups who are organizing, the motive has always been to keep us as sub-human second class citizens servile to the oppressive status quo.

I think Arab Supremacy is not talked about enough and it is something I feel strongly about. Racism in Arab countries against South Asians and East Asians, as well as black people is seen as common and expected. It is normal for staff to treat customers who aren't white or Arab themselves poorly, and not to mention the horrific treatment of the domestic workers and construction workers, who are completely ignored and basically have very little rights once they start working for Arab families. Racism in Arab countries is swept under the rug and tolerated. Arabs adopt a mentality similar to white people and develop superiority complexes, this has a lot to do with their skin colour, as anti blackness is rampant in Arab culture as well. It is so common to see blatant racism from Arabs openly on twitter and there seems to be little to no backlash. Why are they excused from their racist views?   There are documentaries made about racism in Arab countries, Lebanon being infamous for it’s racism as well as the Khaleeji states (U.A.E, Qatar, Bahrain) whose ugly truths are hidden behind their attempts to constantly show off their country as luxurious resorts. White people visiting these countries (especially Dubai) will LOVE the way they are treated, because they come only second to Arabs and retain their white privilege. However, people with more melanin (especially Asians) will find their situations are not the same.

I had hoped that the white moderate would understand that law and order exist for the purpose of establishing justice and that when they fail in this purpose they become the dangerously structured dams that block the flow of social progress. I had hoped that the white moderate would understand that the present tension in the South is a necessary phase of the transition from an obnoxious negative peace, in which the Negro passively accepted his unjust plight, to a substantive and positive peace, in which all men will respect the dignity and worth of human personality. Actually, we who engage in nonviolent direct action are not the creators of tension. We merely bring to the surface the hidden tension that is already alive. We bring it out in the open, where it can be seen and dealt with. Like a boil that can never be cured so long as it is covered up but must be opened with all its ugliness to the natural medicines of air and light, injustice must be exposed, with all the tension its exposure creates, to the light of human conscience and the air of national opinion before it can be cured.

How can I be Pro-Palestine fully if the Arab world has a deep rooted hate for black people. They treat African people like shit in the same manner that Israel has been treating Africans.

How can I fully be in support of Palestine when Anti-black sentiments run deep in their country.

Y’all want solidarity from Black people for your causes, but y’all don’t want to be real about how you’re treating our people in your countries. Nah. Nahhhh. We gotta address this shit because this solidarity thing should go both ways and be transparent.

Sigh. This post has circulated my dash too many times now and it’d be a serious disservice to let this type of rhetoric slide.

These type of ultimatums is not what solidarity looks like. If it takes the entire “Arab world” ([mind you, that’s over 300 million people whose only ties to each other is being predominantly Arabic speakers], which Palestinians only account for about 3-4% of) ridding their antiblackness and adopting pristine politics, then you’ll pretty much never express solidarity with Palestine.

Let’s get first things first. Palestinians never have to answer for the crimes of other Arab nations. What happens in Lebanon, or UAE or Egypt is the affairs of each respective nation and should be dealt with in that manner. It has absolutely nothing to do with Palestinians. That’s honestly a really fucked up standard to set, for so many reasons. Imagine if this equivalent was given to Black people? If people refused to care about our real suffering because murderers like Obama or Condoleezza Rice or Colin Powell shared our racial background? You wouldn’t think it was fair then. If Palestinians had any control of how Lebanese processes functioned, would they be barred from most employment sectorsdenied citizenship and right to own property? Egypt assists Israel in killing Palestinians. The first Palestinian killed in 2015 was not by the IDF or an Israeli settler, but by the Egyptian Army. Under Sisi’s reign (the current coup lead regime in Egypt), the blockade against Gaza has persisted. This week alone, four Palestinian children died because of such blockades. Again, I’m not clear on how much sense it makes to have a group of people answer for the crimes of an apparatus that has a direct hand in their oppression as well. It definitely feels sinister and manipulative, if you ask me.

Your assertion that Palestinians treat “Africans” just as badly as Israelis do exposes a depraved and profound kind of ignorance. I actually gasped when I read that. The only Afro descended people who regularly interact with non-Black Palestinians are Afro Palestinians. Don’t call these people “African” and strip their national identity from them. They are Palestinian. With the same weight of every other Palestinian. They endure the same occupation, the settlements, the imminent threat of bodily harm, the apartheid, the agricultural terrorism, the lack of mobility and settler colonialism. Its a sheer robbery of agency and injustice to toss aside their resistance against Zionist destruction and reduce them to “African”. Have you ever read the work and perspectives of Afro Palestinians? I have. Here are a few links. And despite their transparency about the racism they encounter from other Palestinians, I’ve never seen one instance where it causes them to forsake their identity. So if they don’t do it, why would you?

Or maybe, you’re talking about Black people in general. The Black people who have contact with Palestinians are usually: tourists, diplomats/politicians, settlers (mainly IDF soldiers and gentrifiers in the West Bank) or activists invited specifically by Palestinian authority for conferences. The first three examples are all normalizers of settler colonialism in different ways and have significant capability to oppress Palestinians. So, while they shouldn’t be subject to anti black racism, to act as if Israeli Jews and Palestinians are on the same footing with these people is monumentally absurd and just not rooted in reality in any way.

Last I checked, Palestinians weren’t sterilizing Ethiopian women with coercive birth control or stabbing Eritrean children in the head or pouring bleach in South Sudanis’ food or firebombing Eritrean kindergartens or likening Africans to cancer or locking them up in concentration camps or detaining them on completely arbitrary charges or spreading libel about high crime rates to deport asylum seekers or creating laws specifically to deter Eritreans and South Sudanis from renting housing or attaining visas or hosting thousands strong hate rallies to intimidate, terrorize and incite fear in Eritreans and South Sudanis. Israelis have though. And much more. (feel free to click through this link). So not only is it spreading pure slander against Palestinians to compare them to their colonizers, but its also dismissive to the very real suffering endured by Eritreans and South Sudanis. Notice how I kept repeating Eritreans and South Sudanis because these people aren’t just African. They have nationalities and perspectives that go beyond an age old tradition of homogenizing an entire continent.

I have no idea where this idea that groups have to be unanimously altruistic to deserve liberation or solidarity came from, but I wish it would disappear. If it takes that sort of unrealistic and ahistorical expectation to express support for revolutionary causes, then why fight for anything? Oppressed groups aren’t entitled to justice because they’re innately more ethical than their oppressors, but because oppression is wrong, period. But just in case you needed a reminder of the decades long coalition building between the Black and Palestinian diaspora, a few examples of many instances are linked below.

There are many many ways to effectively call out antiblack racism. This is not one of them. I’ve been organizing in Palestine solidarity circles for several years and the type of alienation and dismissal I’ve faced has been brutal. And that needs work, no doubt. But being callous about a people’s oppression is going backwards.

I’m not writing this to be mean or “drag” you. I’m honestly not invested in that sort of petty bullshit. I’m writing this because I know the type of solidarity and love that can be formed between two communities when constructive work, learning, unlearning and serious reflection is done. We need to find ways to be critical, but retain love. This post wasn’t it.

We say that if America has entered the war to make the world safe for democracy, she must first make democracy safe in America. How else is the world to take America seriously, when democracy at home is daily being outraged, free speech suppressed, peaceable assemblies broken up by overbearing and brutal gangsters in uniform; when free press is curtailed and every independent opinion gagged? Verily, poor as we are in democracy, how can we give of it to the world?
