If your ems is high enough, you can break through the indoctrination and bring Shepard back to stop the cycle.

If your ems is too low, you have to stop Shepard. 

Permanently. 

And it falls to you to activate the Crucible.

Even though Joker and Chakwas spend most of their time inside the Normandy rather than outside on missions, they’ve been among Shepard’s most consistent and long-standing companions. I love all the little glimpses that show how much the three of them have come to mean to each other.
