"It was beautiful. It was an amazing experience. Something I will never, ever, ever forget. It was so powerful and I referred to that meeting. I don’t know how that happened. How it is that I… It had such a profound impact on the way that I saw John and June and their relationship and that affected the film… To see them looking into each other’s eyes while they sang the song was magical. It was just absolutely magical. I referred to that moment many times throughout shooting. It’s hard not to be cynical about love… Most marriages and love affairs don’t last and so it was nice to witness that first-hand and know that it wasn’t something that was just fictionalized… That it really was that perfect which I still, even having witnessed it, find it hard to believe." —Joaquin Phoenix, on Meeting June Carter and Johnny Cash and watching them sing together

“You’ve got a way to keep me on your side You give me cause for love that I can’t hide For you I know I’d even try to turn the tide Because you’re mine, I walk the line”
So yesterday, after playing guitar and violin for 7.5 hours straight at rehearsal, I went home and watched Walk the Line for the first time ever (thanks Christina/Schuyler). I loved it. I don’t know if it’s because I’ve been working with music so much during rehearsal, but something about the structure of the movie and the music really got to me. It was the perfect movie for yesterday. Now off to go do the mountains of chem, math, and physics homework I have.

Holy cheesus. Everything about this looks gorgeous, even Walter looks good, for a midget.
Not gonna lie, when Marlena/Reese first spoke my subconscious completely assumed she'd have a southern accent... clearly indicating that my obsessions with Sweet Home Alabama and Walk the Line are too strong... awk
WALK THE LINE
I love this movie! Just sat down with Cat and Cal and watched Eclipse and Walk the Line Reese Witherspoon is my favorite. That Oscar was so deserved.
