Been a while since I did an original piece.
Last piece for 2022! Featuring my son, Muffin, again! I thought it was fitting to end the year with a cozy looking piece because everyone deserves a break, a rest, a moment to themselves and just relax. Happy New Year everyone! I hope 2022 was kind to you, and I hope 2023 is a good year for all!
I have been wanting to draw a holidays piece featuring the parol. I have yet to go back to the Philippines during the Christmas season, and I can’t believe I haven’t been since 1/3 of the year is dedicated to that holiday! Hopefully someday soon I can go and experience it there as well as celebrate it with my family.
Happy Holidays everyone!
Been doing style studies of various artists that have done a lot of work for JRPG games, like Akihiko Yoshida, Naoki Ikushima, and others. I have always adored this style and how it feels so storybook like. I took a stab at it and drew my OC Sashna in that style.
What was really cool to find out was how naturally the style came to me in terms of the shading and the chibi-like appearance. It really was not that far off from how I typically draw traditionally. And thanks to all the amazing brushes out there, I was able to capture the look I was going for.
As for the brush, I was using the Clean Ink brush from Madeleine Bellwoar’s Children's Illustration Brush set.
Anyway, hope you folks like it!
A Hopeful Wish My contest entry for Clip Studio Paint’s 30th International Illustration contest. The theme for this year is “The Skies.”
Redo of my piece from 2019. Also made this during a Water Surface Painting workshop by Shirako through Warrior Art Camp.
Finally an original piece from me featuring my OC, Sashna! To those who don’t know, Sashna is a character from a personal project of mine. She is a Lunar Shepherd in training. A Lunar Shepherd is a profession that is in charge of guiding celestial phenomenon such as comets and meteors on their correct path.
Here, she is one the few lucky folks who have caught the mythological dragon comet flying by. Very few documentation of this rare comet exists, to the point people believe it to have gone extinct.
Hope you folks dig this piece! Really stoked to work on her more and creating more original art! :)
It is finally finished!! After a week (I think?) of working on this, it is complete! Really happy with how this came out! :D Definitely something different for me, especially for an original piece. I hope you folks dig it!!
I am surprised that I was able to get another art piece done before the new year. I was inspired by my nickel allergy and all the beautiful earrings I cannot wear. Lool. Earrings are my favorite piece of jewelry and it sucks that a lot of the pretty ones I want, I cannot wear. :c
Seeing the orchid mantis so much while I play Animal Crossing New Horizons inspired me to create this.
Inspired by Filipino tribal jewelry, specifically the Lumad tribe.
