I've been rewatching Pirates of the Carribean and have been wondering about One Piece's Davy Jones because I think he's mentioned in the Long aring Long Idland arc and that is it?. Was he a famous pirate? A myth? The one who ferries souls to their afterlife and a job that can be passed on?

I just imagine Thatch is dead, and his soul meets the current incarnation of Davy Jones, who's ready to move on himself and offers the role to Thatch. Either way. Thatch is going to be waiting for the rest of his family anyway, so he takes it the job. Unfortunately, he ends up seeing his brothers way too soon because of Marineford and the Payback war. Fortunately, many join his crew, and they all sail together waiting for the rest. Brothers keep joining them as they pass, and eventually they're just waiting for Marco to finally, somehow, kick the bucket. When he does, there's a great celebration that everyone's finally reunited (and whatever is used as money pass led around because they definitely took bets on how long they'd have to wait on Marco). The only thing left is to decide if they want to keep escorting sailors to their afterlives or find someone else to take the job and go enjoy new adventures.

I... really have nothing I can add to this, it's just perfect as it is.

What a beautifully sad and strangely comforting setup.

Of the ships that like to do cuddle puddles, which do you need to call out for it and which are you liable to wake up surrounded by beloved crewmates if you fall asleep in a public area of the ship?

I think it depends more on YOU than the crew, actually.

For any crew if people know you're not keen on cuddles, you're not going to wake up in the middle of one, but if they know you're neutral on them and you fall asleep somewhere well traveled you're going to end up in one if it's the Kid Pirates, WBP, Straw Hats, Heart Pirates, and hell I'd even add the RA and Barto's crew.

Shanks' crew doesn't strike me as guys who cuddle into piles as a natural course of action, but you could probably just pout a little and say you wanted one and be in one really quick.

Welcome to what’s rattling around in my brain today!!

Accidentally finding yourself in a hot springs with the four commanders >.>

It’s a big shared area, with branches and rocks to give some privacy. You find a nice secluded little area and get in. Not long after resting there do you hear a bit of commotion from Ace and izou, and thatch and Marco laughing. They’re all seeing eachother and it’s one of those not secret secrets on the ship that no one is really fussed about, and Ace is saying something about don’t do that in public. Izou goes to comment that it’s fine, he’s not shy, plus they’re alone and then uses his observation haki and goes well actually we’re not but they should join us. And you’re sitting there like wtf, in the hot spring or….. join?? Maybe a tense ‘thank you but I’m ok’ bc you’re flustered and not sure what they really mean since they’re all together already.

Poor ace peeks around a rock to say sorry they didn’t mean to upset you, and you go to argue but he says if they didn’t upset you you would join them (with some big puppy eyes I know he’d be good at it) and so fine. You go over to where they’re at and it’s fine, they all are respectful and you just chat and relax for awhile. the convo gets a little flirty, and the heat of that combined with the heat of the springs has you and ace passing out.

You wake up, dressed and in someone’s room, head on izou’s lap as he fans you and surely this is a dream bc izou tending to you? Not likely. So you turn and nuzzle into his thighs bc if this is a dream you’re gonna enjoy.

….. but that’s as far as my brain keeps going idk why it never seems to get me to the frisky parts imma work on that as I fall asleep for sure xD

And you know just adding that to my ‘if quin opens more comms’ list

Thanks for letting me share my brain worms btw, sometimes they just rattle around in there and drive me mad otherwise <333

Avatar

xD

My mind gets to the frisky parts so fast I'd assumed "and the heat of that" - that that THAT was sex and you'd just distilled hot springs sex with four commanders to a single word and then reader and Ace passed out.

I had to go back and re-read it to read it right XD

I'm always happy to receive the rattling of brain worms and thots =3

I love the whitebeard ghost ship thing but I raise you something happier.

A wooden ship floats through the mist, the single sail has HELP painted across it in red.

The Moby Dick drifts close enough to scoop the tiny boat up.

Figures gather around it, confusion.

It's empty? Except for a few crates.

They drag the containers up to the deck.

Sake, flowers and a letter.

The letter speaks of a poorly planned escape, how a large ship saved them and gave them what they needed to make it somewhere. Anywhere. They made it! Hopefully the gifts are intact.

Inside the envelope is a photo of that person, beaming and grown with a family of their own. On the back is says 'Thank You'.

The photo finds it's way onto the walls of the infirmary.

T-T

Oh

Oh wait, wait, just - gimme a minute - I mean T-T Are you

Are you implying that someone they patched up, made it to another island and built up their family and had a happily ever after, and after all that built a little boat and set it out where they hoped the Moby Ghost Ship would find it and basically sent an offering to the crew as a thanks T-T

Is that... Is that what you're doing to my poor heart right now?

That's so fucking sweet I don't know what to do with myself.

😍🥰❤️

Ohhh ghost ship that scoops u up if ur not looking so good... anyone who lives is given a nice send off with all the supplies needed. Anyone who doesnt... well they dont have to die all alone out in the cold. And if they stick around, they won't have a lonely afterlife either.

T-T

Y'all are killing me with the bittersweet Whitebeard Ghost Ship AU stuff XD

I'd never be able to write it in a million years, I'd just be blubbering everywhere constantly lol

I do love it though - it's good stuff. Even if it is dehydrating.

Building off the previous one

Reader has lived life on the sea when they around the 30 age range are diagnosed with something terminal, something similar to what Whitebeard had?

They spend the rest of however long they have sailing but then the whole stranded thing happened and they are supposedly nursed back to health but there isn’t exactly much health to begin with

They essentially live out the rest of their weeks to days before passing away

They don’t end up as a ghost, they have no reason to. They accepted that they didn’t have long so they can pass in peace.

But the wbp have to watch another die of a terminal illness but this time they wont see them until they themselves pass on.

Ooh ghost ship... horror but make it bittersweet. Imagine being a castaway. Delirious, struggling to survive on a barely functional escape boat, no food, soaked to the bone from the storm that constantly threatens to capsize you- and then through the fog comes a ship so huge it fills your whole field of vision. You drift to the side of it, the davit(I think that's what it's called? The crane they use to get little boats up and down) seeming to attach itself to your boat. You're welcomed aboard, something about all these larger than life figures feels surreal to you. It's like... you can't truly focus on their faces. But you're out of it, so you chalk it up to that, thanking them tearfully for the food the one in white serves you, the fresh set of clothes and warm blanket wrapped around your shoulders. One man, clearer than all the rest, gives you a checkup. Maybe even puts you on an IV after everything you've been through. You're there for a few nights, enough to recover, for your head to clear. And then you wake up, and... the ship is empty. The sky is clear. The quietest it's been in ages. You wander the deck, calling the names of the friends you've made, but you aren't close to death anymore. There's no response. But you find a proper dinghy, fully stocked. A map and log pose are laid out for you, and a letter wishing you well. And along with that- what appears to be a vintage photo of the crew.

THE EMOTIONS I WENT THROUGH READING THIS ANON

How

DARE.

T-T noooo my heart.

You did this right in front of my salad too, I just -

I need to recover.

Imagine if they actually disappeared

One day they’re doing the usual, repairing things, watching people pass by or do their chores. If they got lucky and got to the place overlooking the kitchen they could watch thatch cook

Most could know they were there simply by looking for a small hole That’d been carved out, occasionally you could see a blanket or some fingers sticking out

After a rough battle it’s like they just disappeared, gone. Their things were still there but there’s no sign of them.

If we want to turn it a different way maybe there’s blood in their latest hidey hole, perhaps they only find that one due to blood dripping down. The remaining bodies are searched and nothing. But if there’s ones they don’t know about….maybe they’re in one of those

We all know mother hen Marco would be all over the place, ace would be in a similar state only a bit more angry though if they aren’t found for awhile he’ll definitely turn that into some form of sadness and worry

If they’re found alive things are likely going to change

Though if their body is found things are going to be really quiet for a while, they’ll also need to assign more people to look after the parts their “ghost” was.

Occasionally due to the kitchen being one of the places they frequented one of their blankets could still be there, peaking out of the ceiling giving thatch a sad reminder

-💧

If I have to suffer for my ideas I’m making you suffer with me >:,)

I also have no idea how ship interiors works so I’m imagining lots of their holes to be punched/kicked in by someone on the crew then carved by them for more space

We’re also gonna pretend that there’s lots of space to fit stuff in general and it’s totally not inaccurate at all 👍

Oh man that's a rough outcome.

"Ghost" dying during a scuffle is a lesson the crew learns in the worst way. This reader to be the precursor to the reader who takes a hit trying to protect Marco.

They're desperate to protect them. They can't have another small thing die because of them. It's the foundation of the yandere ways that they "protect" this new reader once they heal. If they keep them in sight then they don't have to worry about that happening again.

If they make sure the reader knows how loved and valued they are they won't hide in the nooks and crannies of the ship.

Ughh no you know Thatch would be soft on you too. Blackbeard probably wouldn't rough you up too bad since you're a gift, but he's still terrifying and however he treats you probably has you bracing yourself for something much worse than what you actually get, so... yay? Spending most of your first night in the infirmary with Marco, who soothes your bruises and rope burns while Thatch is busy talking things over. He's hoping the deal goes through. It's obvious you're doing your best not to cry. It's cute. He gives your shoulder a reassuring squeeze when Thatch comes in to fetch you, chuckling when you shrink away from him. While yes, you'll end up as the lover of all 4 of them, but you're Thatch's first. You're guided back to his room with a hand at your lower back.

Man.

I love this so much. The idea that your first time with Thatch takes so long because he's so careful, so gentle. It's inevitable, you're going to let him take you, and he'd going to make it feel good.

Hey Quin whats your opinion on people saying that Ace has Stocholm syndrome? Can’t for the life of me remeber if it was here that it was brought up or somewhere else.

But they said that Ace Had Stockholm syndrome after being brought to the Moby Dick and at first I was like wait hold up they onto something but then I remembered

Although Ace’s first introduction in the Moby Dick was involuntary if I remember correctly he was brought for medical attention no?

Regardless if he was brought aboard to be recruited or not he was never chained down, something that we see teasing him for. He wasen’t coerced at any point nor blackmailed to stay, in fact Marco told him to his face that he could either leave or stay. So I ‘m not sure I am leaning towards no because of that fact but I wanted to hear your two cents on this.

Avatar

I haven't heard anyone bringing it up, but re-reading chapter 552 (the first time we get a decent flashback of how it went) I don't think Ace had stockholm's at all.

And Stockholm syndrome is a weird thing in and of itself. The point in time when the phrase was coined wasn't even for a real instance of what the phrase has become known for. It was used to gaslight a woman's very real experience during a bank robbery - because the police had screwed the whole thing up so bad. Instead of admit they had handled things poorly they said the robbers had effectively brain washed the hostages.

Which isn't to say that the phenomenon it describes isn't a possibility.

This is one of "Sometimes the fandom is weird" kind of moments. I don't know why anyone would start thinking that was part of the narrative for Ace and the WBP. It's kind of cruel, honestly, to diminish what he was to them, and what they were to him, by basically saying he was brainwashed into believing they cared about him.

Now, I could see it being used as a premise for a Fan Fic, sure, and that could be something interesting to dive into, especially if you take into consideration that Stockholm's itself isn't even 100% believed to be a thing.

But to say it as far as canon goes? Utter hogwash. Someone's either trying to stir the pot, or their reading comprehension is poor.

One piece combined with modern au + mafia/gang type groups (and maybe some yan or stalker to go with depending on the mood ;) )

I probably shouldn’t be up so late but I have so much I want to do and I’m thinking of a bunch of ideas and rando scenarios and ughhhhh 😫(with love)

I have multiple little thing regarding this that are unfinished in my head

>.>

Oh man, I'm slowly (very slowly) working on a WBP Mafia AU story, and it's not yandere, but also you're certainly on to good things here.

Cause like, the Whitebeard Family would be well-established, and well-loved in their particular neighborhood. And who knows, maybe you aren't someone who has lived there your entire life, but you've moved in and are getting settled.

Could be the owner of a flower shop, book store, maybe a school teacher. Some innocuous job with no real connection to anything. A Nice Quiet Life.

but even quiet lives cross with dangerous ones and you don't know when you catch the eye of one of Pops' sons.

But you do.

Maybe things go well in the best of ways, and you never learn just how connected and persistent your new beau is. Maybe you never learn about the blood they spill to keep competitors at bay. Maybe you never learn how they learn everything about you in order to provide you the kind of life you crave the most.

Maybe.

But maybe you do become aware, or the idea of dating a member of the mafia is too much. Too dangerous to you and your Nice Quiet Life. It's a shame there's nothing you can do about that, sweet little doll. It's a shame that there's no power in your background or your name or your job, and you're new in town. There's no one who can stand against Pops and his boys to help you.

But don't worry. He knows all about you, and will provide the kind of life he's sure you crave the most.

Whether you want it or not.

A thing I've seen a couple times but wish more people did is "yandere accidentally punishes their darling for something they didn't actually do." The angst is just so good, the yandere being faced with the fact that they've destroyed what little conditional trust their captive has for them. If they do everything right and still get hurt, what was the point of listening to begin with? Depending on the severity, the yandere might've permanently ruined their chances at the relationship they want and all of their progress has been undone by their own hands. For the WBP, since we've been talking so much about drugging shenanigans already, a likely scenario could be a poisoning/assassination attempt wrongfully being pinned on their darling. Maybe they're blamed when certain substances go missing, but the issue is dealt with privately so the real perpetrator doesn't know their theft has been discovered. You're only exonerated when the real culprit proceeds with the poisoning attempt while you're under lock and key, making it impossible for you to be guilty. Ace takes it the worst, as usual. It took a long time for him to be able to hold you close without you tensing or flinching and now you're even worse than before. Him and Thatch lovebombing you to bits but you're understandably not receptive at all, to the point of refusing any of Thatch's cooking.

Oh no, I like that.

The concept of getting in trouble for something you didn't do, especially in an yandere setting where chances are you're already in a tense situation and it could very easily cause things to crumble.

I feel like Izou's the first to lose his temper with you. In the end the two of you are on the deck barking at one another. It's the first time you've yelled maybe ever, but certainly in many many months. You're trading barbs with Izou and neither one of you is holding back.

He's furious because you needed to accept things long before now. You're furious because you wanted none of it, and even on your best behavior they still punished you for something you didn't do.

None of it works without trust, and there's no trust.

It's a phrase that hits everyone like a canon ball. They can't say they trusted you, that's already proven wrong. You don't trust them, and you're being clear about it.

Either it breaks the bond completely - and you're off the ship on the next island - or it breaks the fantasy and you're demoted from darling to toy, living the rest of your life in chains being "doted on" however whoever sees fit.

hihi… im totally not.. going back into my yandere wbp phase…. ahhahahah…..

SO ANYWAYS

Reader is kinda like Yor from spy x family, theyre really strong and can easily defend themselves but is socially awkward and a bit clumsy and can be a horrible cook!!

Thatch was so shocked on how bad the meals they made tasted and everyone had to pretend to not throw up or else they could hurt reader’s feelings

He tries to help by teaching them but like…. Somehow reader manages to make it the completely opposite somehow??? Marco finds it amusing how strong reader is but very clumsy, meaning he can patch reader up all the little bumps and bruises

Ace loves catching reader whenever they fall and constantly teases reader..

okay now bye bye 🙂‍↕️

I find this kind of funny, because:

  1. I know karate.
  2. I used to be a terrible cook.
  3. I am clumsy enough in affectionately called the Injury Cryptid amongst my friends.

I’m not great at karate though, certainly not Yor levels, and my cooking is a lot better now. I haven’t melted a steak to pan or set water on fire in years.

That aside, I can see it though. I haven’t read or watched Spy x Family as yet, but I know enough about it to see how a cross-ish-over like that could work.

I had a dream last night that the WBP found me drifting in a crappy lifeboat after other pirates sank the ship I was on. I woke up in the medical bay and freaked out bc I recognized them from wanted posters. They were nice to me but I didn't trust anyone and it basically turned into a looney tunes bit how many times I tried escaping and I wouldn't eat either. Eventually Marco got fed up and shackled one of my wrists to the bedframe so I can't run off and make my condition any worse, and so I couldn't get away from Thatch trying to feed me lol

XD

Ah, that actually sounds like a good dream at the end of it. The idea of you kind of accidentally harassing the crew because they're TRYING TO HELP YOU and you're so fragile from your ordeal they're being extra careful, but that gives you more chances to skitter away.

Just the idea that at some point your feet lift off the deck and your body curls a little like a cat's as Pops picks you up on the collar. He's so big you thought he was just a part of the ship or something and were completely off guard when he picked you up.

That's when Marco apologetically shackles you to the bed in the infirmary, and Thatch is nearly in tears apologizing while Izou helps him force you to eat.

By the time they reach an island where they can safely leave you there and in the care of the islanders you're holding onto one of Marco's legs like a little kid. Now you're attached and bonded and no you don't want to leave.

I'm trying to think up stuff to put in a grave visit speech that would hurt the WBP the most if they were eavesdropping. Bc I'm evil. Anyway. "I was... happy, to join you. You said all that shit about family, and freedom, and I fell for it. I wanted it. More than anything else I wanted family, wanted brothers... But that was true for everyone except me, I guess. Why? What did I do wrong? Why did you just let them do all that to me? What did I do wrong that you'd hate me enough to let that happen?! Why did everyone else finally get to have a good father?! All of you betrayed me ages before a damned thing happened to Thatch, but I still saved him and I still saved Ace. Any due I owe you and your awful sons has been paid in full!"

You pause, taking a few deep breaths.

"But I'm still... sad. That you're gone. I fucking hate it. I hate it so much. You don't deserve my grief. None of you do, but I still... I still..."

Oooooh I love it. I love the idea that it’s not meant to be overheard, but it is. It’s your catharsis but it’s someone else’s nightmare. Maybe it’s even Ace that hears it, the most emotionally wrecked of all of them.

Dark ending - Izou hears it and loses his temper. How ungrateful! How brazen of you to spit on their goodwill and protection at the foot of their father’s grave! Rage simmering just below the surface you feel the cold chill down your spine before your name is hissed between clenched teeth.

He’ll see to it that all your questions are answered and that you never misunderstand his love ever again.

heyyy, so, yandere wbp… possessive sex? Would they watch take a turn? Maybe if someone took one small glance at reader that wasn’t a crew member or something, they’d get really possessive n shit. Would they share their kinks to the table and try it out? Lots of thoughts

I feel like given the nature of the crew itself the four of them would be really good about talking about their kinks, and their boundaries, but by virtue of being yandere in the first place they wouldn't be quite so good regarding the reader.

I think they would legitimately what to know what's important to them though, if only for being able to utilize to maintain the control they're after. But there has to be some level of compromise to really make it work, even if it doesn't include the compromise of freedom.

I think that the boys would be fairly good at that, and at providing an illusion of freedom, honestly. We've been talking about some pretty hefty and traumatizing yandere from the WBP, but with four of them, and given how strong they are, I think it'd be easy to have it be pretty fluffy.

The reader could remain oblivious for a long time, either until they mean to leave, or until something happens that pulls back the veil.

The quieter it is for them though, the scarier it is for other people, like whatever poor bastard decides to hit on them while the crew is docked. You wonder where the blood came from that's splattered on Marco's tattoo. You get that warm smile from he always has, and a slightly dismissive statement about him helping Thatch and must not have noticed.

But Thatch mentions he hasn't seen Marco all day.

The someone else mentions how the other crew in town is looking for one of their crewmates.

That cold chill that runs down your spine puts Marco's smile in a different light in your mind. Maybe it's the beginning of you questioning things, or maybe it's the beginning of you understanding how trapped you are.

If you don't struggle it'll probably be a much nicer experience for you.

The idea of running, from Marco - never mind the others - seems absurd. And the more aware of it you are the more you realize how it's been there, just under the surface the entire time. Even Ace's bright smile has a darkness to it, and you realize Marco might be the least of your worries.

He may be the hardest to get away from, but his flames wouldn't devour your completely in his madness.
