Marco won't bother to cover up, and is more likely to turn toward you and ask you what you needed. His expression will be relaxed (if you can even tear your eyes away from his cock to SEE his face), and his tone will be easy and and inviting.

He'll talk business if you can keep your wits about you, but he will teasingly flirt you with his words if you lose your composure. Something more physical could certainly happen, but he's going to follow whatever flow presents itself, so he won't push it if the opening isn't there.

Shanks probably walks around naked on the deck of the ship so much you're not seeing him naked for the first time when you walk into his room. He's laying in bed naked with a rose in his mouth giving you bedroom eyes and you don't even look up from your report, setting it on the table and informing him you're allergic to roses, and he should put on pants before coming out on deck.

I really think it'd be almost impossible for you to realize he even is one unless something goes bad.

Crocodile, in his own way, gives you a chance to leave. He doesn't hold back - you can and will get a very unsettling feeling around him that leaves you feeling hunted. He's not letting you go if you cross the line and lay yourself between his teeth, but he does give you a chance.

Shanks, I think, doesn't hide how desperate he is for you, and if you catch on that's just a shame - unlike Crocodile, he doesn't give you the chance to run, but! you might not ever pick up on it. If things go smoothly for the most part, Shanks' affable nature will keep you from ever picking up on it.

But Marco?

Chances are he's decided you're staying with him before you've even heard his name. Whether you're an islander, or a new member of the crew, his mind is made up the moment his eyes settle on you. Call it instinct, call it insanity, he doesn't care.

And his touch is feather light.

Marco, Kaku and Sabo - given the chance - will have you desperate for them to the point that you might worry you're the yandere in the relationship.

But where madness might slip up Sabo, and where impatience might trip up Kaku, Marco steps through effortlessly. Unless you catch him tearing someone apart for daring to lust after you, you're just not ever going to know.

Find his journal? His feelings for you are that intense, but he writes them down to keep them in check. None of it's real, pretty bird, it's all role-play stuff to keep himself under control, don't fret it. Maybe you'd like to try role-playing some stuff with him so it doesn't seem so strange to you?

Hear someone talk about how he knew you were his before you'd even held his hand? He was just manifesting the reality he hoped to see. Sorry if it sounded a little intense, the guys tend to exaggerate things on top of it all. You know pirates and their fish stories, yoi. He was right though, and thank the seas for that because he's so smitten with you, he wouldn't know what to do with himself otherwise.

I've been listening to You Should See Me In a Crown for a good long while, I love it. I love it specifically for Doflamingo xD I can see how it would work with Rayleigh, but it's such a Doffy song to me, I can't see it as much else. It's so diva too, it would make a great Evil!Ivankov >.>

The only song that gives me stronger Doffy vibes that I know, is Castle by Halsey - because it makes me think of Doffy taking over Dressrosa every time I hear it.

Specifically Buggy dancing to it while tossing out treasure to all his followers, letting his head float around and "duet" with people randomly. All the little crew members holding up paper mache heads, or marine bounty posters during the Off With Your Head and Heads Will Roll parts XD

Mihawk and Crocodile aren't joining in, but there's a kind of an odd knowing that this will keep people loyal to Buggy. And they control Buggy, so >.>

Not quite musical chairs

Yandere Shanks is, to me, the most terrifying yandere in the One Piece universe.

Crocodile is the most natural yan, Doffy the most possessive.

Marco's one of the smoothest, second maybe only to Shanks.

Kid's intimidating, and Law's creepy as hell.

But Shanks - Shanks is utterly terrifying to me. He's so easy going, so affable, so smooth, so nice, so disarming. And there's not only no escape, but there's no one that believes you. His future sight keeps you from even seeding doubt in people's minds.

Maybe you can implore Ace enough to have a friend in the face of Marco, and you DEFINITELY can find allies when dealing with Croc and Doffy, but with Shanks?

If you don't know about Observation haki he seems to be fully capable of reading your mind. You can't escape him, you can shake him, all your arguments are useless, he's already got answers to things you haven't even said out loud.

Your only hope is Luffy, honestly, and you might not even know that depending on the universe we're talking about. If you're some islander who was whisked away from your home before Luffy's first bounty? If it's an AU where you don't even know anything about Mafia families, or gangs, or whatever CEO business it is you're dealing with, or WHATEVER the set up is - and

Shanks, who has been pondering this whole time, shakes his head. "Nope. There was a summer crush when I was still young, but he wasn't a marine yet and we didn't go that far, so."

Shanks almost looks sad to push the shot away.

Rayleigh... hm, given recent manga events I'm currently wanting to shake him a bit like a rag doll, but for the most I just love how effortlessly smooth he is. Which is easy when you're that strong and that confident, and that experienced, but still.

Shakky, of course. Marco. I can see him in threesomes with lots of people, but those two are it for 1:1 to me.

Buggy and Shanks

idk if it's unpopular, but I headcanon he's infertile. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Nothing, honestly. Rayleigh's role in the story is done well, and I think he's been more active than he really needed to be, especially given his stance on kind of leaving things to this new generation.

My feelings about Shanks are vast and complicated, and I don't even really know where to start. I like him for the narrative device he is, but at the same time there's contradictions in his actions and words that make me wonder if he isn't at minimum kind of a neutral evil vibe over all.

But also, characterizations in One Piece are actually really complex, even in smaller-screen-time characters, so it's hard to say if it isn't just the complexity of all that he knows and feels responsible for that creates a semi-jarring effect when we don't get to see his story with the clarity we see Luffy's story.

Ah, my apologies Shanks, but I ship you with Mihawk, Marco, and Buggy and I don't think any of them do more than tolerate you ^^; (there's love in there somewhere, but yeah ^^; )

I don't think he's going to survive the series.

I feel like his hero-worship of Roger has transferred some onto Luffy. So many people who knew Roger see him in Luffy, and I just feel like Shanks will make a reckless move to protect Luffy because he doesn't want the world to lose "Roger" again.

I honestly wish we got to see more of him. I want to see his full story, I don't want the mystery of why he's done all he's done, I want to SEE it. I want the Shanks version of One Piece. I want to see how events connect from his perspective.

When was the first time he was on the Red Line? What did Roger say to him when he came back from Laugh Tale? HOW'D HE GET THOSE SCARS FROM TEACH?

Your voice shifts and you move from one note to the next, working through your warm ups. Why Shanks wanted you to warm up your vocal chords before he came over was a mystery, but you didn't really question him anymore.

Scales, warm tea, humming and some breathing exercises. You were pretty much just finishing when he arrived, dragging a large trunk on wheels behind him.

You exchanged greetings, welcomed him in, and then turned your attention to the luggage.

"Are you... going to spend the month here?" You question with a smile. "Not that I'd mind."

He smiles, that damnable smile you fell for in the first place. "Not yet. Just the expected weekend, my love. No, all this space is for the entertainment."

You quirk an eyebrow. "Entertainment?"

"Aye." Shanks pulls a large item out of the trunk and sets it in the middle of the living room floor. It's black leather, flat on the bottom and curved with something beige colored in the middle.

After plugging it in he shows you a remote. "The settings are specific enough I figure you can match your notes to it, and really sing for me." He explains, turning the beast on and causing it to vibrate.

I mean, it does have nice "this man would make good father" vibes to it, buuuuuuut, considering the way Red unfolded idk if I'm gonna give Shanks dad of the year honestly.

Not that One Piece is particularly filled with stellar father figures, but still xD

But it's definitely a softer moment for him, that's for sure =3

Oh man.

Imagine waking up in a cold sweat, nightmares clawing at you. Marco's the one sleeping with you that night, which is fairly normal, Shanks is a busy guy, doesn't get much sleep, but the nightmare jars everything loose and you remember.

It's Marco holding you, soothing you, he's glad your memories have returned but worried about how Shanks will react. The last few weeks/couple months the red-head has been delighting in the shift in your personality. The first time it was completely accidental, your fall, the injury, the resultant amnesia.

Marco's terrified that Shanks will do something he can't heal, and he tries to help you - to get you to remember how things were the last couple weeks, to get you to put yourself in that place so you can be that version of yourself for Shanks. Everything else is already a nightmare, but maybe this'll help.

Marco just repeats over and over that every touch is coming from him. Don't overthink it, even if it's someone else on the crew - every hand is Marco's, just think of it that way. He's always with you, always by your side, even if you can't see him that's still his touch.

But theory and practice are two different things. You don't get a chance to mingle with the crew and practice. You don't get extra time to try and shake it off - the return of your memories brings a heavy sense of betrayal, so deep had your feelings for Shanks been, so certain were you about his words.

You don't even get to shake it off, no sweet smile, no nervous laugh, no statement along the lines of "oh dear, I was really focused huh, you startled me."

Nope. He knows, and the soft sigh sends fear down your spine. "It was sweet while it lasted." He pats your head, and hugs you close. "I'll just have to work harder to get you there again."

Oh.

That's good.

I like that. I like it- the way you wrote Shanks hits along the lines of his character too. The reassurance, the awareness, the understanding

the complete twisted ending too - isolation until you submit. Marco would be going half-mad too, knowing, cause Shanks wouldn't keep it from him. Torn between wanting you to give in faster so you'll come back to him and wanting you to resist because you're his, not Shanks' and if you're only his than he can be only yours and everything involving Shanks stays a little bit separated
