So Much One Piece Fanfic

Cold Heart - it might just be the video itself, but it gives me very strong Usopp vibes. THAT SAID, it also makes me think like Franky/Nami - not really as a ship (but I mean, have at if that's your ship) - but just as like in place of the Elton John and Dua Lipa duet XD

I could see the two of them swapped in.

I know Elton's songs so well, it was hard to hear anything but Rocket Man the entire song ^^;

Hold Me Closer - Yeah, I can see the Roger/Rogue vibes here, a lot. It reminds me that in one of my stories - and gods forgive me I forget which one, Family Ties, I think - the reader had christened Edward Newgate's old car "tiny dancer". but I never went into why. (It might've been Family Practice, which is a spin off alternative version of Ties). So the song makes me think of Newgate by that association.

I like the Roger/Rouge feel though, I'll second it =3

I love the song. I love the emotions of it. But... it's just so sad. I don't know who I'd apply it to. It almost feels like I'd be willfully drowning whoever I associated it with ^^;

It seems I've missed the chair on this one and am just sitting on the floor xD

Oh, Holy definitely makes me think of Donquixote Rosinante. It might just be because the piece I'm working on alludes to him in a few ways, but I think there's just so much there that connects with him.

The ideal that he'll never be holy (but he full of holes) - there's pieces in there that leave me with a sense that he's relieved to not be a Celestial Dragon, despite the costs.

'Cause I don't mind being lonely - man... poor Rosi. The vibes are there.

As for The Dog Days Are Over, it's really giving me a Shakky feeling. There's just something about it. I feel like it would've been the theme of her younger years - leading up to, and maybe including at least some - of the time when she fell for Rayleigh and left Amazon island.

Marco and Thatch look at each other, carefully pick up the shot glasses and clink them together in the tiniest little tink! before each drinking their shot. Marco raises his arm, index finger in the air and makes a circular motion, prompting most of the rest of the crew to take a shot as well.

Pops' boys, are boys after all, and they will be what they will be it seems.

The real curiosity now, is how many times have they gone streaking and/or how long has it been I wonder...

Never have I ever Blorbo edition

There's a moment of silence amongst the crew, and everyone picks up their shot and drinks - including Pops.

Immediately afterward they start talking about how they still get nicks while doing maintenance and during sparring. Half the crew is pulling up shirts and pant-legs showing off places where they have scars from the learning process, or when they got drunk and probably shouldn't have been armed in the first place.

There's good-natured laughs all around, but a slightly haggard look on Marco's face. You get the impression he knows most of the crews self-inflicted battle wounds more than even they do. The nurses look a little long-suffering as well, and you're certain Pops does far more practice than they'd like -whether minor injuries are a result or not.

That would be a rather iconic mustache ride...

You'd think the king of pirates would be an intimidating title to me, honestly, or that my love for the Ray/Roger pairing would hold me back, but here we are.

How many shots to hookup with a character?

I like to think it's one of those scenarios where Marco doesn't realize it's HIM that I'm actually fond of. He's cheering me on, but also admonishing me if I seem to be trying too hard.

Saying something like "There's nothing on this ship worth taking risks like that!"

Then when I make it up there, right angle and everything, I get to finally declare. "I got you!" Giving him just enough of a heads up he's able to safely break my fall XD

You can barely contain your laughter as you walk into Marco's office. He's on his bed, glasses on, working through some paperwork, with extra blankets and pillows gathered all around him. The configuration is such that he's propped up enough to work, and his legs are propped up enough to provide an impromptu "desk".

But only because he's transformed his legs to the longer phoenix ones.

He, very expressly, and by the seas you hope very purposefully, looks like a bird in a nest.

"What's so funny?" He questions, amusement in his voice. He's kept his eyes on his work, but you weren't surprised something gave you away.

"You know, before most people experience empty nest syndrome, they need to have children who grow up and move on." You explain, setting the next round of papers on his desk before going over to the bed.

"Ha. Ha." He deadpans, looking up at you flatly before smiling. "It's comfortable, and functional, yoi."

"Mm, I'm sure it is." You hum, leaning over and kissing his forehead. "Ace would never let you live it down if he saw you like this."

An arm slips around your waist, holding you in place as he leans into you a little. "If you're lucky, Ace won't see me like this."

"If I'm lucky?"

As soon as the question leaves your lips, Marco hoists you up onto the bed easily. He sets you into his laps so that you're straddling him, that easy smirk on his lips as he steadies you.

"Hope you locked the door." He murmurs, and before you can answer, he pushes his thighs against your rear and tips you into a kiss.
