Eheheee, this one has a very complex answer, but I'll keep it simpler for spoilers sake!

Forest is the oldest, the first Ascendant. They're well known for their wisdom and maturity far beyond their age, and they attempt to be like a mentor to the others once they meet--an act not well-received by Surge, who is just about the most opposite to Forest you can get.

Forest prefers peace. Seeking knowledge amidst a quiet formality is their way. Surge is rebellious in general, but their belief in actively proving their kind's strength through combat clashes horribly with Forest's goals.

Mist, on the other hand, is ambivalent about Forest. They respect the older Ascendant, and admit they learned quite a lot from them, but Mist gravitates far more to Surge's natural charisma and energy.

Speaking of, Mist and Surge are very much so in a relationship, though not a soul knows just what that's like. :o

Light is the odd one out. Forest is wary and mistrusting of them at best, but Surge and Mist outright deny them a part in their summits and communities.

Forest: Ascendant of Gardens, Growth, and Knowledge

They’re in need of a good long rest.

Forest sirens may seem the closest to human-like of all the siren types, but that doesn’t mean their creator looked that way. The very first Forest siren, and perhaps the very first siren in the world at all, they are also known as the most magically powerful entity to have ever existed. Obvious by their semblance to the kelp pillars of their home, Forest possesses an incredible connection to the natural world, able to change the growth of macro- and microalgaes with barely a thought, to repair damaged tissue of both flora and fauna with nothing but a flick of magic, and even to magically alter the inner workings of another’s mind.

Forest sirens are also known to be the only siren capable of manipulating another siren’s magic, and there are rumours that Forest themself was capable of directly manipulating souls.

But don’t worry! Forest pledged themself to peace, never attempting to harm even the littlest of shrimp.
