[100 OC questions list!]

Nice neat 'zero' numbers~ c: Since I haven't worked much with this wip lately, let's have fun with some of the CIRCUIT cast! Let's go with Frankie because Frankie is best Frankie.

Frankie would be uncertain on what exactly they'd change--at the start of the story, they struggle quite terribly with depression and as a consequence of this, they believe they don't deserve a very happy life. :c

I think, though, that Frankie would very much like to be able to more visibly help others of their community? Right now, their job has them mostly stuck in front of a computer or hundreds of various electronic gadgets, all on their own in their office/workshop. Despite the fact they don't tend to like working with others very much, being able to see the beneficial results of their work is a guilty pleasure of theirs.

Frankie's handwriting is atrocious! They're so used to typing everything out that they've completely lost any ability to traditionally write legibly. XD They can still read their own handwriting, but good luck to anyone else that tries! And cursive? They've not a clue how to read or write it!

Frankie has various electronic gadgets that they've made from scratch with abilities beyond what most modern-day technology can achieve. One particular favourite of these devices, and one especially important to them, is a completely rewired cellphone that now has its own assortment of gadgets as well as access to completely secret communication. As they don't usually have much for personal belongings because they move around the country so much, this phone also keeps all of their photos as a connection to their story.

Some of those photos are the only thing they have left of their deceased daughter, and the happy relationship they once had with their ex-wife.

Ehehheehee Quill’s to a good angsty part in CIRCUIT, now I feel wonderfully evil. c:<

Anyways, onto the excerpt! Right after this scene comes a major revelation that massively changes the main crew’s choices. c;

Context: Kellowaught City has been without electricity for an entire month. No communications, no generators--not even batteries work. After little luck and many failures, the special ops team formed from the wreckage has finally determined the source: a dangerous alien has somehow hidden itself inside one of the agents’ phones.

CIRCUIT Character Intro: TILLY

A little alien from another planet who has electrokinetic abilities! Earth has a lot more technology and active electricity than she can easily handle, unfortunately, and her defensive abilties ended up causing a lot of chaos amidst the electrical grid. She's very nice, though! Just... scared.

'Want to help.'

Emery and Frankie lifted their eyes to each other.

"Alien."

“Ghost."

The phone chimed again.

'Weirdos.'

Emery burst out laughing. Frankie narrowed their eyes.

CIRCUIT Character Intro: AGENT KARA ISAACS

Kara’s a complicated story. The senior and commanding agent of G.R.I.D., she might be a bit... harsh, but she's just doing what she has to. The oldest and most experienced of the G.R.I.D. agents, Kara was removed from the field as a marine due to her severe PTSD negatively impacting her work. Although it’s been a few years since then, it was recommended she remain on the military team at Kellowaught City rather than be sent abroad again. Of course, that won't stop her from doing her new job--protecting the world from an alien threat.

“Is this--” The words cut out as the woman sprawled across the row of seats along the vehicle’s interior side stretched out her arms with a great yawn. “Mm... is this? Disrespect I hear? From my inferiors?”

“Kara!” Emery started, grin turning sheepish. “Thought you were napping?”

“I’ll have you know I was in charge of setting up the perimeter last night, and considering last ‘night’ was really this morning, I’m thinking I rightfully deserve some rest.”

CIRCUIT Character Intro: AGENT EMERY XU

A genderfluid agent who is very often the only optimist on their team, Emery is the youngest agent of G.R.I.D. with the main job of driving and repair--be it car, boat, bike, plane, helicopter or... alien spaceship? Emery has a passion for music, to the point where there’s little time where you won’t see them wearing their headset. They're quite a bit of a nerd, too, and discovering aliens exist is a lifelong dream of theirs. Meghan, their twin sister, certainly likes to tease them about that.

“But the alien spaceship is definitely the reason behind this.”

“Em. It was probably just a piece of junk from an old space station,” Meghan said, rolling her eyes. “A human space station. Aliens wouldn’t make their entrance by crashing their own ship into our planet.” Emery stuck his tongue out, the action returned by his sister.

“How would you know?” he snipped, “Maybe they just didn’t expect how high our gravity is.”

CIRCUIT Character Intro: AGENT FRANKIE CHANDLER

The tech expert of G.R.I.D.'s team, Frankie is rather a grump who really just wants to be left alone to play with their phone. Too bad their disrespectful attitude makes that near impossible. Frankie unfortunately lost their only daughter to an accident a few years back, and they're still having a lot of difficulty coping with their grief.

"You know, most people would give up around the thirtieth time."

Frankie pouted. "I'm the team’s technician, Meghan. It's my job to fidget with broken tech for hours."

"Ah, so that's why you're so grumpy all the time." Meghan giggled. "Rather an unlucky career, then, considering Kellowaught City's current predicament." Frankie's groan this time was far louder.
