Thought you couldn’t hate Obama any more than you already do?  This is absolutely absurd.  Just the mere fact that he would ask (order) a Marine to do this shows he has no concept of respect.  Think this is photoshopped?  I got it from the CNN website.  It’s completely true.  Do a web search and you’ll see multiple sources.  This President is absolutely worthless.

Title ten of the Armed Forces US Code says that members of the military do what is asked of them by their  Commander in Chief.  The man next to them is the Prime Minister of  Hungary.  It would be bad show to let the rain fall on the head of a visiting diplomat, and any Marine on Presidential duty is honored to be there.  This is not about the umbrellas, it is about treating visiting dignitaries with honor and respect.  To only have an umbrella over the head of Prime Minister Orban would be a sign of superiority or strength over the visiting PM.  The president did the correct thing in the situation by showing enough respect for his fellow leader and giving them both an equal platform.

Y’all need to stop freaking the fuck out over stupid shit like umbrellas.

pls.

also he didn’t think he even needed the umbrella, thus resulting in this picture of him checking if it was even raining even more aka my favorite picture of him ever:

Speaking as the son of a former Army officer, OP’s post is even more disrespectful towards the Marine in the photo - and the US military in general - than it is towards the President. It shows that literally the only part of being in the military OP has respect for is the part that involves killing others and that is not the biggest part of the military by a long shot and is not the part of military service most members joined for. People join the military to serve the nation, and part of that is stuff like this. There is a reason active duty military do not and are not supposed to discuss their opinions of a President during that President’s term. The President is the Commander in Chief regardless of who they actually are. Republican, Democrat, third party, no longer existent party: it does not matter. Being art of the White House guard and the Presidential detail, especially when a foreign dignitary or leader is present, is one of the biggest honors in the military.

But it’s a fucking umbrella, so complaining about it in the first place is massively moronic.

Can we also please talk about the fact that this is pretty much standard procedure for presidents/politicians? Obama isn’t some upstart who wants to disrespect the military- it’s JUST NORMAL PROCEDURE.

So yes, let’s PLEASE keep talk about how it’s this liberal president disrespecting the military. Good lord, it’s too early to deal with this level of ignorant.

SMH OP talking about absurdity when he is fuming about umbrellas. Ever think “hey, it’ll be kinda disrespectful to just have it rain on prime ministers head in a foreign land” or “It’ll look pretty stupid to have it rain on the president and prime minister during a press conference.” None of that registered to you huh? Your first though was to say “The president is absolutely worthless.” Can I assume Fox news is your most watched channel?

what’s even sadder is that OP is a marine himself! HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW YOUR JOB DESCRIPTION.

NAACP, clergy, and activists step-up activity in North Carolina against racist, oppressive austerity regime May 6, 2013

Human-rights activists against the vision of oppression offered by North Carolina’s Republican leaders say they’re stepping up the nonviolent demonstrations until they are rightfully heard. The protesters are resisting the oppresive, backward, Republican-ledeffort to block Medicaid expansion, cut unemployment, cut tax credits for the working class and promote policies that defund education, among other grievances.

The NAACP and other activists say they’re ready to be arrested again Monday as they protest decisions of the General Assembly. A prayer demonstration against the harmful, destructive policies last Monday led to 17 arrests.

Rev. William Barber, president of the NC NAACP, said the evening will begin with a news conference at Davie Street Presbyterian Church where protesters will introduce themselves and lay out their disagreement over GOP lawmakers’ plans for Medicaid, unemployment benefits, the earned income tax credit, voting rights, public education and the state’s pre-kindergarten education program. He expects the crowd to include Triangle-area college professors and clergy from Charlotte. Barber said those who were arrested last week will again try to get into the legislative building. He hopes lawyers for the NAACP and General Assembly Police can work out a plan ahead of time to keep the protest peaceful. Barber said last week that the NAACP is planning a tour of up to 20 counties that are home to lawmakers most associated with Republican policies.

Actually, Jon, that question doesn’t need to be answered. It answers itself.

Republicans must think Black people (and Latin@ people and LGBT people and every other group they’re trying to “outreach” to) are fucking stupid that they would actually ignore the recent history of the Republican party and vote GOP because one hundred and fifty years ago a Republican did something halfway decent. “Well, sure, the GOP consistently proposes laws that systematically marginalize me and people like me, and their current opinions on ‘states rights’ are the exact opposite of what Lincoln said, but HEY they once elected some Black people so I guess they must be ok! Rand Paul/Chris Christie 2016!” Really? Really?

In their defense, I suppose, Republicans must be fucking stupid to not know about that whole thing where Democrats used to be the conservative party and Republicans used to be the liberal party and that has kind of changed a little bit. History: only important when they think it will fool people into voting for them.

Good bye world, as of March 23, 2013. Fema camps here we come. -.-

Some of you have expressed disbelief that anyone believes this is real. Behold! Right-wing-media-powered ignorance!

Lol it's sad that people will buy this type of unsubstantiated fearmongering but won't believe the mountains of evidence supporting human made climate change or institutionalized racism.

Obama’s the one who never worked a day in his life. He never earned a penny that wasn’t public money. How many fund-raisers does he attend every week? How often does he play basketball and golf? I wish I had that kind of time. He’s lazy, but the media won’t report that.
Fox News chief Roger Ailes, on President Obama

Ironic words from the king of lazy journalism and news reporting.

(via reallyfoxnews) That’s amazing how u could literally be President of the Unites States and still Whites will see you as lazy. President and still can’t shake that stereotype. Damn. (via knowledgeequalsblackpower)

Anyone who tells you racism is dead is a lying sack of racist shit!

Lori Stodghill was 31-one years old, seven-months pregnant with twin boys and feeling sick when she arrived at St. Thomas More hospital in Cañon City on New Year’s Day 2006. She was vomiting and short of breath and she passed out as she was being wheeled into an examination room. Medical staff tried to resuscitate her but, as became clear only later, a main artery feeding her lungs was clogged and the clog led to a massive heart attack. Stodghill’s obstetrician, Dr. Pelham Staples, who also happened to be the obstetrician on call for emergencies that night, never answered a page. His patient died at the hospital less than an hour after she arrived and her twins died in her womb.
In the aftermath of the tragedy, Stodghill’s husband Jeremy, a prison guard, filed a wrongful-death lawsuit on behalf of himself and the couple’s then-two-year-old daughter Elizabeth. Staples should have made it to the hospital, his lawyers argued, or at least instructed the frantic emergency room staff to perform a caesarian-section. The procedure likely would not have saved the mother, a testifying expert said, but it may have saved the twins.
But when it came to mounting a defense in the Stodghill case, Catholic Health’s lawyers effectively turned the Church directives on their head. Catholic organizations have for decades fought to change federal and state laws that fail to protect “unborn persons,” and Catholic Health’s lawyers in this case had the chance to set precedent bolstering anti-abortion legal arguments. Instead, they are arguing state law protects doctors from liability concerning unborn fetuses on grounds that those fetuses are not persons with legal rights.

Say whaaaaaaat Catholic hospital?

That’s…convenient. Can we stop giving a crap about their “religious freedom” to deny people insurance coverage now?

Alright class, raise your hand if you know what’s wrong with this picture.

The person who made this picture cannot be serious. You cannot compare the two are you fucking kidding me?

C’mon son, put things into context.

You do realize the The Obamas are the most threaten of all First Families? Obama got a death threat in 2007 for even RUNNING to be president.

Barack Obama and his family are the most threaten Presidental family in US history. They even had a fuCKING BODYGUARD THREATEN TO SHOOT MICHELLE.

Since the President took office in 2008, the rate of threats against the president has increased 400% cent. Some threats to the President have been publicized, including the well known alleged plot by white supremacists in Tennessee to rob a gun store, shoot 88 black people, decapitate another 14 and then assassinate the first black president in American history.

I’m not saying you shouldn’t have the right to bear arms and neither is the Obama administration- it’s about control and responsibility. Don’t try to make it seem like the President is consciously outgunning you as a citizen because he saw the movie “Juice” one too many times or some shit.

It just really gets me that people really think that this a legit argument, and this is not the first time I’ve heard it -__-

Context is key, people.

A friend says:

After the school shooting right-wingers were actually saying that teachers should have been armed and that would have prevented the massacre. After the movie theater shooting right-wingers were saying that if the audience had guns with them it could have been prevented. Ever notice that when a black youth gets shot they don’t say that he should have been armed cause he could have prevented it?
I’m anti-state, so I don’t agree with the disarming of the people and allowing the state to have a monopoly of violence, however the point here is that right-wingers control the framing of the debate by making it either pro-gun or anti-gun, when they aren’t actually pro-gun, historically they opposed allowing the Black Panther Party to be armed, and they never speak up for victims of racist murder saying that they should have been armed, so let’s not fall into the pro-gun/anti-gun trap, let’s have a more complex dialog about WHO the right-wing wants armed (police and racist white militia types like the Minute Men) and why we should oppose them and why oppressed people have the RIGHT to self-defense “by any means necessary”.

I literally had this argument with some conservative a few days ago and they don't understand how the NRA's obsession with arming dangerous white folks still amounts to a police state.

NRA blames violent video games for Newtown, but partnered with company that makes them to produce “the single worst game in the history of games.”
So there’s that.

It obviously isn’t this video game that makes people shoot other people; it’s all the other ones except this one. This video game is surely wholesome.

But even if reasonable people want to disagree about the wholesome nature of this game, one thing we know for sure is that guns are not the problem.

All the shooting that people do of one another doesn’t have anything whatsoever to do with the guns. It has to do with absolutely anything else you can think of.

Ah, right, the NRA made their own shooting video game. But shooting games contribute to violence and that’s bad. Except when gun makers make the games. I guess.

Uuummm if ‘maintaining a positive and beneficial social construct’ really means denying basic rights to every individual that’s not straight or white then fucking yes it’s time for an entirely new social construct.

And I’m so sorry if you get your feelings hurt when you’re called out for being hateful.

And by the by fucker, I’m a liberal who identifies as Christian, so this couldn’t more innacurate, especially you’re lumping every non-Christian as a liberal and every Christian as a non-liberal, and generalizations are always wrong.

So fuck off.

God fucking damn y’all are dumber than shit. All of the conservatives I follow on tumblr have been reposting this map like crazy, so I’ll once again explain what’s wrong with your argument.

Not only is this map from 2004, (when the GOP won) but do you people seriously not understand how population density works?
Let’s look at an example.
Let’s look at Kern County (red in 2004, red in 2012) and Los Angeles County (blue in 2004, blue in 2012). Based on size alone, it looks like Kern should be worth about twice as many votes as LA right? Except that Kern Co. has a population of about 850,000 while Los Angeles County has a population of almost ten million.
I know math isn’t your forte, but this isn’t even math. It’s looking at two numbers and knowing which one is bigger.

Not only that, but that thing about the “red paying for blue’s social programs and reckless economic theories” is the purest bullshit going. I wrote about it a while back:

Let’s get right to the point. The five poorest states in the nation are Mississippi, West Virginia, Arkansas, South Carolina, and Kentucky. The five wealthiest states are Connecticut, New Jersey, Massachusetts, New York, and Maryland. Those are the numbers from the US Census and they tell us a lot about the partisan divide in America. Of the five pooorest states in the union, five are Red States that went for McCain in 2008. On the other hand, of the five wealthiest states, all five voted for Obama — see for yourself. In other words, the anti-tax, screw-the-poor, federal-government-isn’t-the-answer crowd comes mainly from the poorest states and are, therefore, among the most lightly taxed. They’re the ones who seem mostly likely to benefit from federal government money. In terms of federal taxes spent in their states, Mississippi gets 202% of every dollar they pay, West Virginia get 176%, Arkansas gets 141%, South Carolina gets 135%, and Kentucky gets 151%. The only state in the five wealthiest that receives more than they pay out is Maryland, at 130%. People marching around in angry little circles with signs showing President Obama with a Hitler moustache haven’t been paying their fair share. Kind of makes their concerns about the deficit a little hard to take, doesn’t it? If you want an example of socialism, there ya go. Republican voters are runaway socialists. Except the poverty of Redstatistan suggests that this socialism isn’t exactly benefiting proletariat. In fact, they’re getting worse.

So maybe instead of complaining about who pays for whose free ride, Redstatistanis might be better off just shutting the fuck up and hoping we don’t notice they’ve got their hands in our pockets. Surrounded by crushing poverty, you feel you have the right to complain about blue states’ inarguably successful economic policies. You don’t. And another Civil War? Don’t make me laugh. Remember, we won’t be buying your army’s bullets for you and you don’t even have the money it would take to plug a parking meter for a day. Now run along like a good little Socialist ward of the state and let the grownups finish clearing up all the rubble left over from the last time you chuckleheads thought you had your shit together enough to run the show, OK? And if you’re real good and real quiet, maybe we’ll keep buying your fucking lunch for you, whiner.
