One of two things will probably happen during Battle of Heart and Mind:
- Greg, Bismuth, and Lion get to Homeworld in two seconds on the Roaming Eye and Lapis and Peridot will probably be there too
- Lars and the off colors finally get to Earth just in time to find out what’s going on and then everyone will be on the Sun Incinerator back to Homeworld
What I really want though? A buddy-film style roadtrip spacetrip? with Bismuth and Greg. After they get the Roaming Eye set for Homeworld and there’s nothing to do but wait to get there, they start cracking some jokes and Greg pulls out his guitar (and Bismuth pulls out Stevonnie’s new sword) because they are both the kind of people who know worrying while you can’t do anything isn’t helpful. But in between jokes and plans for what they’ll do when they get there, they fall into this serious discussion about the Rose they each knew. And by the time Homeworld’s in sight they’re definitely friends and each has a more complete understanding of the gem they knew and loved.

I was hoping Lars and his crew of merry misfits would show up, tbh. They reunited everyone else after all. Ah well. Interstellar traffic and being chased by Emerald are a bitch I guess.
as someone who grew up christian, my favorite rose quartz theory from the off-colors in the ep “your mother and mine” is rhodonite’s: “she was the anti-gem! an organic beast that burst out of earth’s crust and vowed to destroy all gems!”
