Wanted to explore Yellow feeling some very strong Regrets regarding Pink’s death. Inspired by Yellow’s inner monologue where she felt responsible for Pink’s fate and Pink’s line where she tells Pearl that Blue and Yellow didn’t care about her. I feel like these two would be plagued by constant internal “what if”s surrounding Pink’s demise and they’d feel immense regret considering they now have the tools and mindset to help their Pink, but can’t since she’s truly gone forever.

HEY guys! If you wanted to read my old Spinel comic (from like four-five years ago) you can now see it in full right here! (cw: violence, possession)

So a lot has changed since I drew this comic! But a few people have brought it up, so why not just repost it lol

I actually never finished it! But came really, really close. Anyway, tons has changed story and design (AND art skill) wise since I made this! Spinel only has one gem now, and her backstory is a bit different. She’s still a totally wild rogue gem out to destroy the Crystal Gems for vengeance, though!

Do you have Any Pearl headcannons?

i’m assuming from my recent ask you’re looking for those headcanons of the gut-wrenching variety? 

“a single pale rose” spoilers and ideas for a fic i might write ahead

early on in the gem war there was a mauve pearl in pink diamond’s court who discovered pearl’s double life. the pearls had been good friends ever since they had met several hundred years ago, and this exposure came as a shock to them both. pearl begged mauve not only to keep quiet, but to join the rebellion. pearl promised the rebels would win, and they could all be free to become whoever and whatever they wanted to be! 

but her friend valued her loyalty to the gem she served and their diamond above all. she couldn’t keep quiet about her diamond’s own pearl being a rebel spy. 

pearl hesitantly asked her if she would tell pink. mauve said no, and pearl had a moment of relief. instead, mauve said she would tell a soldier of yellow diamond’s. it would take some time for news of pearl’s treachery to travel from a mere foot soldier to a commander to yellow diamond and eventually pink diamond. by then mauve’s friend could be far away securely in crystal gem territory. mauve thought she was doing her friend a kindness.

but this was no kindness in pearl’s eyes.

if mauve would have just told pink diamond, it wouldn’t matter. if word only got to pink diamond, pink/rose would keep it quiet. pearl could continue to serve her diamond and the rebellion, and no one would be the wiser. but word spreading to other courts? that would blow pearl’s cover. and she could not allow that. as her friend turned away pearl drew her rebel spear.

pearl kept her friend’s bubble separate from the others, always thinking she would release the gem as soon as she could figure out an argument that would convince her friend to join the rebellion.

she thought she had the perfect argument the day pink diamond was “shattered.”

all of homeworld’s gems were retreating to their ships and warp pads. they were leaving. it was over! they’d won! with joy pearl unbubbled her friend to tell her all this. she said you can stay with us, the crystal gems, here! on earth! serving no one! living for no one but yourself!

mauve, her fellow pearl and dear friend, overwhelmed from being bubbled for hundreds of years, hesitated for one long, aching moment. but when the final alert bell sounded, she turned and ran. if she could just reach the nearest warp pad, it would take her to the galaxy warp, to safety. to homeworld. to where she knew who she was and what she should do and who she was meant to be.

pearl saw her still 100 feet from the warp as three bright lights flashed in the sky and rose pulled her close behind an enormous shield.

A Lapis and Amethyst fusion, Covellite! A moody clown who’s into everything creepy.

This one was a little more difficult since the two have barely shared one line of dialogue on the show as of this moment. I think a mix of their styles of humour, reckless and deadpan, would make Covellite a melancholic fusion, slightly more sinister than expected. She’s loosely based on Harley Quinn and Sia.
