also life update in case anyone is wondering. I'm in my 3rd and final year of pediatric residency and am about 2 weeks away from finding out if I’m going to match into a fellowship. I’ve decided to pursue a career in neonatology which means I'll be taking care of the tiniest of patients for the rest of my life in a NICU. I can’t wait to find out if I'm going to get to be a critical care doc for the wee babies so I’ll keep y'all posted :) Follow my twitter @queeenwinry for slightly more frequent updates lol

got my first unprotected COVID exposure today so you know residency is off to a good start 😂
#yeah pandemic? definitely still a thing#me on the phone with thr ID doc after 3 days of treating a patient un protected#becuase his rapid was negative#and a confirmation test sent ACCIDENTALLY was positive: YOU DONT SAY#we may have two patients on our list but by golly they’ll both have coronavirus🙃🙃🙃#sarah tries to become a resident
being a doctor is so fucking cool
life update! I'm less than a few days away from starting my residency!! CRAZY! it’s still very strange to think of myself as a doctor and it will be even more strange once I officially start on Wednesday. my co-interns are AMAZING and I find myself far less nervous than I anticipated being. I'm excited to take care of my own patients. I start on the pediatric floor so lots of basic hospital level care patients and I might see myself doing that for the rest of my life! (who knows). In a shocking turn of events I’ve still been writing and we’ll see how updates look as I start but I’ve churned out stuff for both fame and sovereign lately and I take that as an accomplishment ;) I thank everyone who has stuck around with my humble blog. I really don’t know what it’s going to look like over the next three years but it’s still exciting to think about! time to be an actual adult ;)
#also I've been Mia because I have played an absurd amount of animal crossing lately;)#but my team for the month is actually AWESOME and I'm really pumped to start#I always pictured myself scared out of my mind before the start of residency but I'm actually??#kind of excited??#although lmaooo they gave us individual pagers and my buddy upper level resident paged me pretending to be a nurse#and it was WEIRD#oh so I'm like?? the doctor??? got it lololol#it'll be fun#here goes nothing!#who knows may actually update one of my stories before I start??#the next chapters of fame and sovereign are mostly written so we shall see who comes first#personal#Sarah tries to be a resident
