why do you ship rose and adrian??? why not sydrian
i think part of the reason is i really couldn’t get into the bloodline series. i love sydney but honestly, i loved vampire academy because of rose. besides that, i think rose and adrian offer an interesting dichotomy that remove dimitri from the picture. i’m pretty anti-rose and dimitri at this point in my life. he admitted to liking her when she was only 17 years old, and he was her teacher. i think, even when she comes of age and rescues him, it’s an unbalanced relationships that has tones of being slightly predatory. adrian of course is older than rose as well, but he never held any power over her, not in the teacher or boss sort of way. they’re also much closer in age, and overall, just not as problematic in that sense. i also think they challenge each other, rose pushes adrian to be the hero she knows he can be, and adrian offers more blunt opinions that keep rose grounded. his advice comes from a place of a friend. dimitri chastising rose comes from the place of a teacher.i love sydney. i love adrian. i can understand why people see them together. but the fact is, i love vampire academy and i hated bloodlines. so gimme rose and adrian bettering each other and having fun and not worrying about the same things that someone like dimitri brings to the picture.
