“Come on, you’re being grumpy,” Misha calls from his spot near the other children.

“It’s cold, Collins. I want to go home,” you huff. Your breath comes out in a puff of hot air in front of you, and you roll your eyes in annoyance. A cold chill nip at your spine and you hug yourself closer as if that would keep you warm. Misha promised it was going to be a quick walk, but that was forty-five minutes ago.

“Stop being such a baby,” he teases. He means nothing behind the jabs, which is why your feelings aren’t hurt. He absolutely loves winter since it means snow, which means he gets to play in it. Every year, your community holds a snowman competition for people of all ages, even if kids mostly participate in it. Misha’s favorite part is showing off his amazing skills only to fuck it up in some way to give the little kids something to laugh about.

The one thing you looked forward to the most after work was going to the bar across your house for a nice glass of whiskey. Ever since the bar got a new manager, the whiskey somehow tasted better. You didn’t know what they did to make it better, but you were grateful.

The bar provided you with a lot more than work did. Nice music, good company, alcohol, and no boss to scream at you whenever possible. People always talk about how bad their bosses are until they hear of yours. It didn’t matter what you were doing, your boss would always find something to yell at you about.

Last week, he yelled at you because you had gotten a few typos on the report you handed in to him. He’s yelled at you for less, and you always ask yourself what is about you that your boss hates so much about. Your last boss loved everything about you, she once called you her star employee. However, ever since she got moved to another branch, it’s been hell for you.

The only thing to make it more bearable was the whiskey.

One of your favorite beverages to drink all year round was Hot Chocolate, especially when it came time for Christmas. Everything around you were so festive. You and your husband decorated the house and tree, went skiing and other snowy actives, and now it was time to enjoy some delicious hot chocolate. Instead of buying some at the store or making one cup, you decided to do a hot chocolate bar.

All kinds of ingredients were laid on the kitchen island, ready to be prepared. Your husband’s favorite drink also happened to be hot chocolate which is why you thought this bar was a good idea. Different kinds of cocoa powder, all kinds of treats to decorate, and different shapes and sizes of mugs were all arranged in a rainbow of color.

You would never get used to the fame and money. You would never get used to being invited to elite events, to the red carpet. You were an actress for different movies. You started out at the bottom like everyone else, working your way up. You worked hard for what you had. You weren’t known for any one role, you had a few movies out there that you starred in as well as guest starred in. You showed up on some TV shows but the one TV show you wished to be on was Supernatural for one reason and one reason only:

You were practically in love with the man you never met. You watched the show since the beginning and even though Jared and Jensen are gorgeous, Misha Collins had your heart. You loved going to conventions with your husband. There was never a dull moment on stage even if you weren’t on it. You were never an actor on Supernatural, in fact, you weren’t even an actor. You were a writer and as you wrote books and short stories, Misha brought in most of the money. You loved it since it gave you time to work on your books and you didn’t have to worry about money.

Because you had all this free time, you went to every convention with him to support him. You would always stay backstage with the other actors while they waited for their turn. Right now, you were with Rob and Richard, laughing at whatever Jensen said. You would occasionally go on stage and you knew that you would be making an appearance because you and Misha planned this earlier. You don’t know when he’ll bring it up but when he did, you would go join him.

You recently saw matching his and her shirt in a window at a store and you knew you had to have it. Misha was always goofing off and wasn’t a serious guy by nature so you knew he would get a kick out of it. His shirt reads “I like her butt” with an outline of a woman’s butt and a heart while yours reads “I like his beard” and it has a man’s beard with a small heart. You thought it was perfect for the two of you and Misha agreed.

“If you’re such an expert on stars, which is that one?” Misha asked, pointing to a random constellation in the sky. You and Misha were stargazing since that is what you pulled from the date jar. You wanted to go out anyway and when you pulled ‘stargazing’ from the jar, you were so happy.

You and Misha have been married for a little over a year and since both you and he work on Supernatural, you didn’t have many date nights. The only time you had them was when you both were on hiatus which was now. You wanted to do something out of the public and stargazing was perfect since you’d be in the mountains, away from everyone else. You couldn’t do it by your house because you lived in Los Angeles and there were a shit ton of lights.

It was peaceful up in the mountains. You had the whole park to yourselves since it was a weekday and people had work the next morning. It was nice to be out here with your husband, lie on the grass and stare at the stars that were billions of lightyears away.

Working in the makeup industry was something you always wanted to do. Growing up, you always offered to do people’s makeup for special occasions. People told you that you had a knack for it. You went to school for it and got a degree, immediately getting a job as a stylist. You always had fun doing crazy looks because it was unique and then you realized not only you had a knack for doing makeup, you wanted to do movie makeup where you could give actors a whole new look.

You did movie makeup for commercials and tv shows but then you moved up to big named movies and got your name out there. You didn’t disregard tv shows especially when your biggest fantasy was to work on the set of Supernatural. You almost died of shock when you got the news that they wanted to hire you because their last makeup artist quit.

You took that offer so fast, everyone was surprised you didn’t give it much thought.

You loved working on the set because everyone was so nice and amazing. You loved Jared and Jensen because they made you smile all the time. Doing their makeup was sometimes hard work since all their characters do is get bloody but it was worth it. The one person that makes this whole job worth it is Misha Collins.
