the problem with modern trek is so much of it feeds off nostalgia/already knowing the characters. they need to start doing it like 1993 and show me a ferengi swindling bartender with hot pink nails no context no introduction just quark at the bar griping

star trek community needs to discuss the names quark brunt nog and rom. theyre from another planet with a different language but theres a universal translator on board. so do their names MEAN "a small particle" "a computer drive" etc in ferengi language and its being translated into english ?? or is it just a terrible coincidence?? bc if so i need to know how they reacted the first time a human told them. or maybe the humans just silently made fun of them
