“With the first small mammals joining the ZPD with the Mammal Inclusion Initiative, it was considered ill-suited for them to have a SWAT role. However, soon it became clear of the advantages of being able to breach occupied buildings via vents and small shafts, and so trials were held.
“The conclusion of the trials led to the allowance of small mammals to be part of a SWAT team, and the modification of lethal weaponry that would be used by these small mammal officers. The model of the existing sidearms for the force’s medium-mammal officers were modified with a collapsable stock, a secondary, forward grip, and the trigger was moved forward to the new grip.
“The rest of the internal workings and the ammunition remained the same to the original pistol it was modified from, and was handled as a semi-automatic submachine gun by the new users.”
