The levels to such an unlikely situation in Harbin Hotel…
While I’m aware Lucifer and Charlie have a strained, complicated relationship; Lucifer also made Lulu World, gave Charlie Razzle and Dazzle, and most likely allowed Charlie (maybe with the influence of Lilith) to own and manage a rundown hotel for sinners. I believe Lucifer still cares.
So when he’s faced with the shock of his daughter doing something he never believed in, and STILL doesn’t believe in, his hatred towards God and humanity that will probably remain true, Lucifer sets it all aside to support his daughter. Because something about this scene rings familiar. And if he reacts the same way his father did… well…
The irony is too deep to really unravel, isn’t it?
So Lucifer grits his teeth and holds it all in because by the heavens, Lucifer is many things.
But he will not be like his narcissistic, cruel father that created him.
Despite it all,
he will not break his daughter.
