Fanfic scavenger hunt

Bored and wanting new ways to find fic? Go to AO3′s advanced search and try some of these.

Put your playlist on shuffle (or choose your favourite song). Pick a lyric from the song and search for fics with that title.
What was your best year of the 2010’s? Find fics from that year.
Think of a famous item in your fandom. Search for an author with that item in their username.
What is your favourite colour? Find an author with that colour in their username.
What is your mood? Find fics with your mood in the tags.
Look to your left. Whatever item you see first, search for a fic with that item in the title.
What are your top 2 fandoms right now? Find a crossover fic for them.
Search for fics that were published on your birthday.
Search for fics that were published in your birth year (fics can be backdated on AO3. You might be surprised.)
What’s your favourite number? Find fics with that many kudos.
How old are you? Find fics with that many bookmarks.
What is today’s date? Find fics with that many comments.
What is your street address? Find fics with that many hits.
What is the population of your town/city? Find fics with that many words.
What is the most common word in your fandom (character, ship, item, trope)? Remove that word in in the Any Field and find fics that don’t have it at all.
