Hi friends! The DC Make It Poly Week is back this year!

From July 10th to July 16th 2023, we’ll be hosting DC Make It Poly Week to celebrate polyamorous ships in the DC Fandom.

Prompts submissions will open on March 1st 2023, so get your ideas ready now!

Arrowverse Rarepair Bingo 2022

Ok I know I'm announcing it a month later than last time, but I don't care. It's my event and i do what I want. That being said, here is the card for this year's Arrowverse Rarepair Bingo!

Some common questions from last year:

Can I write NSFW fics for the event? Absolutely! As you would with any NSFW, just make sure that everything is tagged properly (i.e. violence, sex, etc.)

How long does it run? The event starts on November 1st and officially ends on November 30th, but will still be open for late submissions until December 5th

Where can I post my submissions? There will be a collection on AO3 that I'll post the day before and then it will open for submissions on November 1st. You can also post your works here and tag them with #arrowverse rarepair bingo 2022 I try to check the tag when I can, but if it's something you really want me to see, you are welcome to tag me in it

If you have any other questions, you can send me an ask and I will answer as soon as I can.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Arrowverse! We decided that meant we should give it some well-deserved love. And what better way to do that than an appreciation week?

Arrowverse Appreciation Week 2022 will take place between the 1st and the 9th of October. Please join us by creating positive content (whether it be gifs, fics, fanvids, art, or meta) dedicated to the Arrowverse shows! If you post to AO3, please add your work to our collection. And make sure to use the #avaw22 tag so your post isn’t missed!

We’re excited to announce another round of gen bingocards for DCTV! Sign-ups for DCTVGenBingo are open again during all of April 2022. If you have a bingocard for either this round or a previous round, the deadline for fills will be by 30th September 2022.

dccwrarepairswap is back! (sort of)

We’ve been idle for about 3 years, due mainly to my workload constantly increasing during that time. The first time I ran the swap I was working max 25 hours weeks and had plenty of time on my hands, now I’m frequently working over 40 and the swap does demand a little more time than I have to give.

So instead! We’re going to do things a little differently. And this may not work at all, but maybe it will be great so we’re gonna give it a shot.

Welcome to Arrowverse Appreciation! With the 10th anniversary of DC’s Arrowverse approaching, we decided an event dedicated to celebrating it was in order. This blog is dedicated to hosting said event: Arrowverse Appreciation Week 2022, which will take place between October 1st and 9th. We’re back with Gen Valentine’s for 2022! This is intended as a single day event happening on February 14th, but we’ll also reblog any slightly early or slightly late entries too.

This year’s theme for the event is: Friendship

The event is open to any type of fanwork, of any length, for any DCTV shows - so long as it’s gen-focused and incorporates the theme of friendship.

❤️️ Arrowverse Pick & Mix Valentine’s Day Challenge 2022 | Rules & Prompts ❤️️

Hi!

I know that Valentine’s Day is still some time away, but I wanted to get these prompts out there early to give everyone enough time to create something.

So here are the rules and prompts for the upcoming 2022 Arrowverse Pick & Mix Valentine’s Day Challenge.

How it works :

- There are fourteen different prompts. Your work must include at least two of these prompts. But of course you can use more than two, and feel free to combine them in any way you can!

- This is a Valentine’s Day challenge, but your work does not have to revolve around Valentine’s Day, and while prompts may be fluffy, feel free to make your work as angsty or smutty as you like!

The schedule :

- 29 December : Prompts are released - 14 January : AO3 Collection opens to works for the Valentine’s Day Challenge - 28 February : Last day to submit works for the Valentine’s Day Challenge

The rules :

- This is an Arrowverse challenge, and all pairings or Gen drabbles and works of art are welcome, as long as they include at least one character from any of the Arrowverse or Arrowverse-related shows. Crossovers are welcome too!

- This is a prompt-based challenge. You can interpret the prompts / themes any way you like, but please use at least two of them in your work in some way, shape or form.

- There is no minimum or maximum word count.

- All forms of art (drawing, moodboard, fanvid etc.) are welcome!

- The AO3 Collection for this challenge will be the same collection as the one for the Arrowverse Drabble & Art Challenge. However, works for the Valentine’s Day Challenge will not be accepted into the collection until the 14th of January (the start of the challenge), and they will not be accepted after the 28th of February (the end of the challenge).

- All works posted to the AO3 Collection will be shared to the Tumblr page. Please give it up to 48 hours for me to share your work to Tumblr. If it hasn’t been shared after that time, there’s a chance I have missed it. Then feel free to send me a message to remind me to share it. If you only post your work to Tumblr / Wattpad etc. and you want it shared to the page, please send me a message with the following information and a link to your work. :

- Title : - Show : - Pairing / Characters : - Rating : - Warnings (if any) : - Summary :

- Stories for this challenge have to be completed by the 28th of February. You are free to write a chaptered story, but make sure to have all the chapters posted by the end of the challenge. Stories that are not completed when the collection is closed will be disqualified from the challenge.

- Works for this challenge have to be new. Older works that fit the prompt will not be accepted into the collection or shared to the Tumblr page.

-  All pairings, ratings and genres are welcome, but please make sure to tag correctly, and please post a warning if your work is NSFW, or if it contains upsetting themes or possible triggers.

- Prompts for the Arrowverse Pick & Mix Valentine’s Day Challenge may be combined with prompts for the Arrowverse Drabble & Art Challenge, or with prompts for other challenges, but please make sure to check with the mods for those other challenges / fests as well! However, if you combine these prompts with prompts for the drabble challenge, or prompts from other challenges, you must still use at least two of the prompts from the Valentine’s Day challenge in your work.

As always, there is no minimum word count for a drabble and no strict maximum word count. The preferred maximum word count is 500, but entries over 500 words are welcome too!

We are looking to add a few more mods to help balance our workload for the blog. If you think you could help with any of the following, please contact us on our email - dctvgen at gmail dot com - to discuss.

Here are some rules & guidelines for our Arrowverse Drabble & Art Challenge.

- This is an Arrowverse challenge, and all pairings or Gen drabbles and works of art are welcome, as long as they include at least one character from any of the Arrowverse or Arrowverse-related shows. Crossovers are welcome too!

- On every 12th of the month a prompt will be posted on the Tumblr page that is either a word, a quote or a sentence. On every 25th of the month a prompt will be posted that is either a song, a piece of art or a photo. The goal of the challenge is to write a drabble or create a piece of art based on that prompt. You can interpret the prompt any way you like. It’s open to all pairings, so maybe use a prompt to experiment with new pairings? New writing styles? There are no real big rules, so just have fun with it!

- For drabbles, there is no minumum word count, but the preferred maximum word count is 500. If you go over this a bit, that’s fine and your work will not be disqualified. For every prompt there will also be a set word count, which you can choose to go for as an extra challenge.

- All types of art are welcome! For every prompt there will also be an optional art restriction, which you can choose to go for as an extra challenge.

- There is no deadline for these prompts, and you can take as long as you want to write or create art for them.
