Ahh its so bittersweet for La La Land but Moonlight definitely deserved it. Yay for Oscar history, making an award announcement error and for recognizing and awarding so many black and culturally diverse films and people this year!

Dunkirk IMDB

Whoever is updating the Dunkirk IMDB page, I thank you tremendously. Honestly I got so excited to read more information on the movie when I simply googled it. And then to see the IMDB page had trivia information on how it was filmed, INCLUDING HARRY BEING CAST FROM THE GENERAL CASTING CALL (MAKING ME EVEN PROUDER AHH) AND HOW HE HAD A PERSONAL BODY GUARD BC THE MASSIVE FEMALE ATTENTION AHH. But seriously, thanks. The trivia is actually really interesting and I am so excited for this movie. I feel like we might as well add in a preemptive fact: On opening day, about 90% of theaters were filled with Directioners, specifically Harry girls who stalked the filming grounds during production because of their dedication, and 5% was history teachers and buffs who were very confused to be in a theater full of screaming teen girls, and the last 5% were the rest of the general population wanted to watch a Christopher Nolan movie even though they didnt know what it was about.

DUNKIRK FUNKIRK

GUYS! I emailed my history teacher about the Dunkirk trailer bc I told him about the movie two weeks ago and he got really psyched (except I didn't mention how the only reason I really know about the movie is that Harry Styles is in it and I would sell my house for him ha) and so he emailed me back after watching it saying "One Word - WOW! Hello class trip." AND I WANTED TO RESPOND AGAIN TO SHOW MY ENTHUSIASM AND ALSO TO REVEAL MY LOVE FOR HARRY STYLES. Like I was gonna be kinda chill like "I'm all for it! But heads up, Harry Styles (of the band One Direction) is making his acting debut here. So the theaters will be packed. With fans." NOT TO MENTION THAT I'D BE ONE OF THEM SCREAMING ABOUT HOW HE SHOULD WIN AN OSCAR FOR MERELY BREATHING. But then I decided against this because a) I'd be emailing my teacher too much and I don't want to get on that personal level, b) it's revealing too much about me, and c) he might be joking about the movie thing so my harry message is not subtle at all. So yeah. I just never replied. Haha

Am I the Only One?

Whenever I listen to One Direction songs, I always think about how they could be or probably were intended to be about or for the fans, the One Direction moms, or the band. Like Drag Me Down and Right Now could be for the One Direction moms. History is definitely about the band and the fans. Don't Forget Where You Belong is abut the band and their families. What are your thoughts?

Okay is it just me or is every history teacher kinda weird? Like they have odd personalities and senses of humor. I love the Cozarts in every possible way, but I gotta admit, I thought Rick's personality was a bit troll-y, but really it's just who he is and I find it weird. But funny. Not trying to judge. I'm just wondering, has anyone actually had a regular person teach history? Not civics. History.
