My thoughts - 1D Music Videos.

I love how every artist gets close or kisses someone in their music videos - EXCEPT for One Direction. Like after WMYB and Gotta Be You, Management or someone learned that the fandom will cut a bitch if that happens. Like for every other artist, like Taylor Swift or Justin Bieber for example, they can kiss the "love interest" of the video and everyone's cool with it. Like we all acknowledge that they are paid actors and they aren't actually dating and it's fine. (except Justin Bieber with that girl from the Baby MV but forget about that haha). And then, there's the One Direction fandom who doesn't give two shits who the girl is and will go full attack mode on the girl for merely being in the presence of the boys. And then the fandom has to split into two sides - one threatening everyone, and the other apologizing for all of us and feeling shameful. And this is why Drag Me Down and Night Changes lacks girl presence. It's so wholesome and makes the fans feel warm and fuzzy. Maybe it's because that's the "family" based theme of the band. Or maybe, it's because the fandom will go batshit on the actual actress from the video. AND YET, I feel like the fandom would have an actual celebration if the boys love interest was a guy. Bromance, or even more? Lmao.
