RP Blog List

Now nice and tidy so that mobile users that can’t read specific blog pages can see why I followed them! All blogs are blog style, which for those unfamiliar, means no face to face interaction is happening; the blogs are run as if the muses are the ones sitting in front of the computer and typing.

As a side note, if you don’t follow at least one of my RP blogs, I sort of tend to assume that you don’t want to interact with that one. I know that’s not necessarily the case all the time, but it’s a mindset I can’t seem to entirely shake 😅 Adding onto this if you post follower greaters please don’t @ this blog because I assume you haven’t actually looked at it. A lot of times I’ll do a follow back and someone will @ me here and I just ignore it. Please aim greaters at one of the actual in character blogs, and if you’re not sure feel free to message and ask me which I think would be most fun 😁

Different side note! If your rules include a DNI for proship or anti-anti, I’ll err on the side of caution and avoid interacting. However I know the meanings of those labels have become like insanely muddied and misinformed so if you’d like to chat about what I’m actually for/against, my inbox and DMs are open.

Updated as of 12-17-23

@coolskeletonsdontcry [16+] Crybaby, one of two of my longest run boys! An Underfell Papyrus going on... six? Or so years of development. Probably more time is fake. He’s been through a lot. Calls himself Comet, no longer capslocks, is considerably more chill than the average UF Papyrus but also a lot more traumatized

@strikingskeletonsiege [18+] Siege, a sort of aged ahead 5 years version of Crybaby. He’s cruel, he lives on a spaceship working for an AU of Commander Peepers, he’s in love with a Cubot. Also he surprised me when he suddenly realized he’s nonbinary. Lot a shit goin’ on with this fucko.

@thetopben [16+] Ben 10 of the various Ben 10 series out there. All grown up but no goatee. Sllllightly to the left of canon, I’m picking and choosing what I like, but more or less what you think of when you hear “Ben 10.” Got the Omnitrix, loves his Grandpa, hangs out with his cousin Gwen and his best buddy Kevin and his other buddy Rook. Will turn into various aliens to kick butt. ABSOLUTELY a force of chaos.

@redeyesandchilifries [16+] Joey freakin Wheeler! That’s right, I Yu-Gi-Oh! now. Dependent college AU, so he’s in his early 20s instead of a teenager. I’m kind of diving just head first into this one 😄 Mix of manga, anime, and subbed anime canons.

@a-royal-hoot [18+] Just when I thought I was done with this guy, I’m sucked back in! Revamping my Stolas from Helluva Boss. Not totally canon compliant, but still very much himself. He’s seen the multiverse before and now he’s BACK BABY

@slobbyseconds [18+] Slob, an Underfell Sans and Crybaby’s older brother. Loves dirty jokes, has a fused jaw, and wears a bathrobe instead of the more typical black coat. Falls into Big Brother Mode far more than he’ll ever admit. (low activity)

@gettuskedon [18+] Tusk! A swapped version of Slob, with an extended family of bros! Kind of pigheaded but generally an okay guy. Not a Swappfell or a Fellswap because I don’t even know what either of those are supposed to be like anymore.

@aconitely [18+] Aconite, Tusk’s youngest brother. Rambly text with next to no punctuation online, stilted and slow speaking in person. Has fun creeping out his alts. Ditto on being not a Swapfell or a Fellswap, but he is purble. why he ourple

Okay that’s the most important I think! Post will be updated if and when I bring in another muse. So if you’re a role play blog and I follow you, it’s because I’d like to interact with one of these boys!

once i beat the depression and the burnout and the anxiety and the loneliness and the exhaustion and the guilt and the awkwardness and the apathy and the low income and the chronic illness and the impatience and the vulnerability and the creative block and the capitalism and the cruelty THEN you'll see

Preaching to the choir to talk about climate change, I know, so I just wanna share some millennial perspective for folks who'd be too young or too urban to have witnessed these kinds of ecological changes. I'm 31 now, in 2024, and I'm from the southern post oak savannahs in Texas.

Growing up, spring was characterized by the lovebugs swarming to mate. Gas stations would be especially packed by them, attracted to the smell of their own smeared bodies being wiped off of everyone's windshields. My grandmother saw maybe one this year.

Growing up, summer was characterized by droves of cicadas, junebugs, grasshoppers and the black-and-yellow argiope, a web spider that grows big enough to eat them. This had been one of the quietest summers I can ever recall. I didn't hear the wee-oo-wee-oo of scissorgrinder cicadas at all this year. I saw grasshoppers but only a few small argiopes near the edge of town. I don't remember seeing any junebugs.

Growing up, autumn got frost in the mornings. I would have to wait for the windshield to defrost to go to school. Texas was always warm in the summer, but it was still normal to get cooler-than-tropical weather during the cold months. The last time I can recall morning frost was at least ten years ago.

Growing up, winter still didn't usually give us more than one day of snow toward February, but we did get ice and sleet. It was normal to see my breath outside. The polar vortices were unusual, but warm winters are also unusual even in Texas. They're a very recent occurrence.

A lot of users on this platform were born after these changes already passed, or else grew up in the city. If climate change were reversed tomorrow, it would be a shock to the system how much more fuller the air would be with wings and songs during the warm months, and how much icier the cold months would be. I don't know how to express to anyone younger than me how much emptier, quieter, the trees and grasses are compared to however old I'd have been when they were born.

What's happened has already happened, but. I dunno. It's still important to remember what else is different or missing, especially in order to better envision what recovery will look like.

I'd been thinking on and off about Dreamtale for months, the way it left off with the twins perpetually clashing and how it adds to their mythological vibe... and I guess my mind couldn't let it go until it came up with a way to offer their story closure.

And that's how I got stuck on the idea of Dream and Nightmare always being two halves of a whole, Dark Crystal style, until I came up with a fusion– the guardian of emotion.

I really like interpreting Nightmare's tentacles as roots, leaving Swap!Dream's feathered wings to be the leafy branches.

Their motif would be an eclipse to combine Dream and Nightmare's motifs, and as for a name... Psyche?

Young people have GOT to stop talking about conservatives like they're scary menacing monsters. Yes the policies they back are horrifically destructive but that's entirely because of how individually stupid, fearful, emotionally stunted, weak willed and catastrophically gullible they are. That all is what made them become right wing to begin with. Just the most easily manipulated zombie sheep on earth.

People I have encountered in the past month who voted for Tr*mp include:

- Homeless girl who asked for my pronouns immediately and used them correctly every time

- Hispanic woman with a large family who just got her citizenship and is still working on her English

Neither of these women understood what they were supporting, they mostly saw ads that he was going to reduce grocery prices and voted based on that. Neither of them have consistent access to information or any relevant political education, nor the time, money, or energy to seek it out because they are focused on surviving.

A vast amount of republican voters are exactly the same, and it's a direct result of the GOP strategically denying them resources. We cannot move forward if you throw people to the curb for not knowing any better.

I need to emphasize that these people are "stupid, fearful, emotionally stunted, weak willed and catastrophically gullible" because they have been forcefully kept in poverty without access to proper education, therapy, or community support and fed fearmongering propaganda their entire lives without anyone ever showing them life can be better. They are traumatized and exhausted and a lot of them are trapped in religious cults.

They are like this because the GOP has meticulously engineered huge swaths of the country to be that way. It is not an inherent personal failing and it is very likely you would be the same had you grown up in the same circumstances.

You do not have to shake hands with bigots, but you need to have compassion and understanding for people who have not yet been given the resources and political understanding you have.

I'm not done here actually. Dehumanization like "zombie sheep" is in direct opposition to the kinds of strategies we are going to need to survive after January 6th. Yes, these people voted for something horrific, but they are still people and as things get bad most of them are going to be negatively impacted– and when that happens we need to be there to support them because that is how we get them to join us and fight back. Everything that makes them susceptible to right-wing propaganda will work in our favor in the right circumstances.

We simply will not get anywhere if we are determined to not see people we hate as people. Humans can learn and grow, zombie sheep cannot.

ETA: Since people are misconstruing my meaning here, we punch fascists on sight. But if someone says "I didn't realize this would happen when I voted for the fascists" or there's even a single crack in their loyalty you scoop them up ASAP no matter how much you want to toss them off a cliff because with a bit of compassion you can get them to turn against the fascists, and that is how we win.

I was going to be done with this post, but just came across something I want to add because it's a lens anyone who primarily interacts with politics online is completely missing:

This is the heart of what I was trying to get across. People are not black-or-white, they're messy and diverse and a lot more malleable than you might think. If you gauge party politics by what you see online and in the media you do not understand the average American at all.

If you see right-wing voters as a distinct class of people it just shows that you exist in a bubble. Only people with a certain level of education and access to information talk about politics the way it's discussed on the internet, and if you refuse to exit that bubble out of fear and hatred you will not be able to successfully organize resistance to the coming administration.

never kill yourself. i spent my sunday staying up all night playing a furry fishing game because some random person on the internet decided to sit down behind me and dedicate the next three hours of their life to playing undertale music on a shitty 18 fret guitar. the beauty of this world cannot possibly be overstated.
