I watched Big Eden for the first time last week and… it’s the cutest thing I’ve ever seen??

oh wow oh wow i forgot that pike literally teaches himself how to cook in order to make healthy meals for henry’s recovering grandfather

we see him eating wonder bread and microwave meals at the beginning of the movie but then he notices henry a little frustrated that the old ladies in town keep sending his stroke-prone grandfather unhealthy, salty food so he borrows a cookbook from the library and teaches himself just to do something nice for henry and his loved ones

his friends at the general store go out and catch fish for him and are so invested in making sure the meal he makes for henry turns out perfect like i’m big fucking emotional!!!!!!!!
