So, I lucked into a secondhand, only slightly bait-y wingless Bonita. My initial plan was just to paint her body so the detail pops, because ‘smear paint on this fantastic sculpted body to show off the fantastic sculpt’ is a kick I’ve been on this summer, but my initial 'sell the head’ plan fell through because… at some point, this Bonita lost an antenna, which was super-glued back on. Not only does that mean I have to replace a few plugs of hair (liquid super glue is not a friend to hair), it made me think of your Bonita– I remember she had a slight antenna collapse issue, too. That extremely tenuous connection got me thinking I kind of want to try my hand at duplicating the makeup you did here: 96749202964 because I’ve honestly always loved both that pic and the way you characterize Bonita in general. Would that be weird, since you don’t know me and I just lurk here? (Would it be less weird if I offered to send pics of the finished doll?) At any rate, thanks for reading a weird thing from some random doll person who won’t even bother to get a tumblr.

I’ve actually always wanted to make that Bonita, I even know what kind of dress is past the frame. I even bought flowers to make the crown with come to think of it. But those have been ... scattered.
I even almost bought a Sparkle Girlz pack that I felt matched it. But I’ve never come across a baity Bonita, or even a really discounted one this far past her release date...

First custom I’ve completed in a while. A few changes were made, mostly the hair, which was due to making her head too heavy and immobile. Connie Fetti belongs to Puff-Pink.
I’m trying to think of how to say this concisely.
Like first off thank you??! !! I know she’s not for me and I didn’t ask for her but still this is like a huge thing to do. She’s amazing and gorgeous and just really a way for me to see what she’d be like an actual doll.
I think anyone who’s ever made a MH OC has briefly imagined what it’d be like if Mattel dropped by and was like, we’re making your design into a sellable object you can hold. And really seeing her there just makes that easier to imagine in 3D.
I can’t believe a Connie exists now in the real world that’s probably the most amazing part to me.
Second of all you did a great job. Thanks for making her, you’re so cool!

Finds a random empty sketchbook… Sensible thing to do… draw some of my favourites OCs, of course… So theres Connie Fetti, from puff-pink And Val Cano from tristastrange03. I was trying to get more daring on face shapes and since MH characters dont have face variety as radical as i wanted, OCs it was. I might tweak these two a little more and then ink them and use them to practice on digital… especially on the hair…

I drew a few versions of Connie Fetti ( puff-pink's MH OC) Top- Dot Dead Gorgeous (eyes are a little uneven but I really liked how her hair turned out)- I was thinking of buttons and a poke-a-dot apron with her having short hair, Mid-left- Pony version, Mid-right- Gloom and Bloom- I was thinking about sugar flowers in the shape of different types of roses with short hair or her hair in a bun. Bottom-Regular- I decided to give her a cupcake hat and spoon earrings. I mostly did these because puff had said that she wanted people to draw everyday and these were my first drawings, from starting to do so. I wanted them to be Connie as the 1st ones.
Awww thank you. You should definitely draw every day, even if it's just to test your drawing mood. These are also super cute thanks so much for drawing my baby again~ I like your fashion ideas.
