I'm impatiently waiting for the Star Wars fandom to realise just how much Lucas borrowed from Arab culture and Islam in general

Like really? Jedi? JEDI???

Did he think we wouldn't notice the play on the Arabic word Al-Jeddi??

Al-Jeddi, which means 'master of the mystic warrior way?'

Or the fact that Admiral Ackbar's name is Ackbar (means the greatest in Arabic)

Or the fact that the Jedi robes were based off of North African Muslim Sufi robes they saw a lot of while they filmed in North Africa

Or the fact that the planet Mustafar comes from the Arabic name Mustafa, which means 'the chosen one', which is ironically where Anakin (the chosen one himself) had his ultimate showdown and later chose to live?

Or the fact that 'Tatooine' is literally just a city in Tunisia?

I love the idea of him reusing his stormtrooper armor. The thigh armor especially. He can attach his lightsaber instead of a blaster <3
