thinking about that old ask about how many languages the characters knew i'm very curious how many languages conner knows :3c
he took 7 years of spanish in school, plus he grew up in an area with a lot of spanish speakers so he’s pretty fluent in that. he also knows how to say “hello” in like 26 languages. he’s that bitch. (and also just like various random words from other languages.)
i think the way that diff characters have diff interpretations of "any pronouns" and all land on diff proportions of pronouns for psy in their thoughts is very cute and also characterful. also psy being kind of put out that everyone messed up their gender mind games by just asking for pronouns is so real and beautiful

if you're concerned about melody's representation, you're probably better off finding a sensitivity reader than asking your blog's followers (seeing as we might be biased anyways). always good to have one anyways when representing a variety of identities because they could notice something that goes over your head even if completely by mistake

yeah you're absolutely right.
so, we are Poor, and cannot afford to hire a sensitivity reader and wouldn't want to ask someone to do that for free. but that's kind of besides the point
we discussed this and basically decided that im overthinking this. this comic isnt meant to "good representation" of Anything, and also this is a tiny indie comic, not meant for a wide audience. its something we're making for fun in our free time and that's all. i think its unfair to hold us to the standards of something Actually Published. i think we are doing alright for ourselves, and if people dont like how we handle things in our story, thats perfectly understandable. it was never our goal for anything in this story to be good, accurate, representation of literally anything. the goal was just to have fun with a silly idea. if you find that selfish or fucked up, thats understandable, too.
we've decided to make a change to the patreon, however, which will be announced in a separate post.

except the metori + rifuta character got scrapped i am so sorry. i might talk about her some day cuz she was really cute and funny but probably not for a while.
i swear there was a post that said which saiki k characters got used as like. crafting material for the psy characters, where did it go???? <- i'm trying to send a different ask but i need more info first bc im pretty sure that the psy characters are mixes of saiki k characters (unless?????)

How many languages does everyone know?
other than english of course: Psy is preeeetty much fluent in Chinese (great-grandparents are immigrants, grandparents' first language, and mama is fluent ((but rusty)) and they took 2 years of it in high school) but they don't use it all that much. and they took Spanish in middle school so.. they have a middle school curriculum of Spanish under their belt as well lol (so not very much. they mostly just watched movies in spanish in that class and didn't learn very much)
Melody took 3 years of French in high school but is kinda rusty and out of practice with it. She could have a conversation in French if she really needed to, but it would be rough.
Jett is currently learning Japanese. He started (slowly) teaching himself through online stuff when it was in high school, and is now taking Japanese classes in college!
Tate took Spanish in high school and hella slacked off in that class. He learned absolutely nothing. "yeah i know spanish i took two years of it" *someone says something to him in spanish* "uhm. haha *sweats*"
Guy is fluent in Tagalog and Spanish and is conversational in like, a BUNCH of languages including ASL! He really enjoys learning new languages and learning about the culture of the languages as well :)

psy, do you ever get overstimulated from your powers? what do you do to cope with that?
PSY: Ugh. All the time. When I can, I flee to a place that's less populated, but that's not always an option, especially at school. When I'm trapped in a really stimulating environment I try to do stuff to distract my mind from all the thoughts I can hear, like doodling or fidgeting. doodling is the main way i cope with sitting in class.
What is Psy's like, personal favorite hobby? I feel like we don't get to know much about their hobbies...
Psy's main hobby is gaming! as hinted at by the posters in their room :3c
they also like drawing sometimes, but they see that as less of a hobby and more of something they just do to pass the time in classes. they're a doodler :)
