I just learned it is still possible to create none pizza left beef. Now in an updated, bootstrappy ui.
Everything outside my home is just. Blinding. Snow fucking everywhere. Can’t see edges of objects. It’s not even that deep a snowfall, it’s just. Deep enough and fluffy enough that the world has lost definition and the light bleeds all over.
Someone is playing Let Her Go by Passenger near my home (sounds like outside). It could be an event at the school nearby or it could be someone doing snow shoveling with a very powerful jukebox. Impossible to know. Absolute mystery. No way to tell. I would have to be outside to tell.
I've been doing research on needle lace and in this Dictionary of Needlework there are so many funky terms
"Kangaroo Fur" literally just refers to kangaroo fur, but like. wow, this is an extensive text.
Food scientists, someone please explain to me why skim milk tastes off to me. Like. It’s not rancid and I’ve never had anything (to my knowledge) that was rancid, but it tastes the way my brain thinks “rancid” things should taste. Just a little bit. It’s grain but it’s there.
Is it literally just the missing fat??? Is that it??
Like. I would avoid drinking skim milk by itself. I thought I just didn’t like milk until I tried 2%. Better taste.
But then I did get a bit of that taste with 2% milk on one occasion also.
Is that something to do with how long the milk has been out of the cold while you’re taking it to your refrigerator??
I want to know what’s up.
I love when cats end up in (ultimately harmless) Situations

I like when I learn a piece of information in an unrelated activity that lets me in on a joke I come across later on the very same day.
What a joy online crafting communities are. Or even just all the people who put their experiences with their crafting online. So many people willing to share information, resources, excitement, and advice on a common interest. It’s so cool.
Needle Lace Resources
This is a very long post, so I'm including a cut.
Something about threads, light, and shadow
I’ve been making needle lace and checking that the textures have the intended effects with regard to transparency. For this I’ve been shining a light behind it, through the transparent tape/notebook-paper/tape sandwich I’m using for the foundation and pattern.
It looks so pretty (especially since I’m using black thread. Very nice contrast). It makes me want to make a luminary out of needle lace mounted to a wire frame.
I watched Falsettos for the first time the other day… I cried so hard. It hurt. You should watch it if you haven’t.
