You have a choice. But some choices are wrong.
Yeah, trying to control someone else's body is wrong.

It’s not an opinion, pro-choice posts should be tagged as, “pro-choice.”
Please stop saying that I’m putting my “opinion” into your uterus.
Nah. I will when you stop and stop trying to take away my right. *shrug*

Hello to anyone who is interested in being a mod here! I’m going to include an official application below but I’m going to list some of the duties that being a mod here would require.
This is the technical side of things, but I’m also looking for a mod who will fit these qualities:
Anyways you can find the application below, please submit it. Applications will close on the end Saturday, (2/9/2019) 11:59PM EST
Why do you tag the characters with fandom tags? And if you don’t mind could you stop? Not everyone wants to see this stuff in the character tags. It clogs the tags and is a sensitive subject
Several reasons - one being that it helps us organize it and helps people search the blog to see if their character has been posted. Second, because we are talking about the specific character or movie, so yes of course we are going to tag it. It also gets the word out about us and some people find a lot of joy seeing this pop up in the tags they follow.
It doesn’t clog the tag - and it’s not over all a sensitive subject.
You can easily block the tags that we put on it like #pro choice character but no, we will not be stopping.

To clarify, we made the "Judy Hopps is pro choice" post long before this pro-life comic was booming.
Side note, where in the world did this even come from. This went from 0-100 real quick.

Hiccup from How to Train Your Dragon is pro-choice and all for bodily autonomy!
He values personal freedom and an individual’s right to make the choice that’s best for them, like when he chose to make peace with dragons. He wants that same freedom for those seeking abortions. As chief of Berk, Hiccup will exercise his power to make sure that everyone in his village is given their universal right to safe and legal abortions.
While yes, I agree that Hiccup is all about choice and being able to make one’s own choices, I would think due to his previous behavior- his refusal to kill dragons, a life form that was considered inferior to the people on Berk, along with his striving attempts to avoid war with Drago and the Dragon Hunters in order to save the lives of both his people and specifically the dragons that Drago and his men hunt and kill- I would think that Hiccup would be against abortion of any form due to his adamant belief that life, no matter what form, if worth protecting. If you think about it, abortion in his mind would probably be the equivilant of breaking a developing dragon egg, killing he baby dragon in the embryonic stage. So while, I can see where you’re coming from in your use of a popular fictional character in order to push your own political agenda, it seems that there is more evidence suggesting the exact opposite of what you would have readers believe.
Oh I’m about to do this aren’t I?
Anyways, you just agreed that Hiccup is all about choice and being able to make one’s own choices. This is what the pro-choice movement is all about. Honestly should I even go any further? I feel like it’s perfectly valid to say that he would be pro-choice based on this alone because you just agreed that he believes what is the very core and center of the pro-choice movement – that people should have the ability to make one’s own choices.
But if that’s not enough for you, okay, I’ll entertain your further comments. Hiccup has a history of refusing to kill needlessly. This I think is an important distinction. You’ll remember that in the first movie he and Toothless did in fact kill a dragon. A dragon which in my opinion was imposing on the autonomy of each of the dragons in the movie. In that instance Hiccup did in fact help kill that dragon.
With Drago and his alpha, seeing the dragon’s bodily autonomy being torn away from them horrifies him. I think he would absolutely find abortion very sad, just as I do. But I think after having seen up close and personal how the dragon’s bodily autonomy was ripped away from them, and forced them to do horrible things (like Toothless killing his father because he had no control) I think all of this would solidify his view that people have the right to make whatever choice they need.
I don’t support needless killing of animals. I don’t support killing animals (except for the purpose of food.) While not entirely the same I think this is as close as to a real-life example as I can think of. However, I am still pro-choice. I don’t support killing people. I don’t support the death penalty either. But I am still pro-choice, because this is all about a person’s choice with their body. That’s the whole movement. Choice. Which you agreed Hiccup is all about. (Also did you know you can be a vegetarian and pro-choice? An animal rights activist and still pro-choice?)
In addition to that, I think Hiccup would be smart enough to recognize that squashing an egg, which is not physically attached to the dragon, is completely different than hosting something inside your body for nine months, and that being a major factor in the difference between abortion and egg-squashing.
In all honesty, I used this character because it was submitted to me and that was the description used in it, but How to Train Your Dragon is probably one of my top 3 favorite movies. How to Train Your Dragon 2 is pretty high up there as well. So it’s not just popular character to me.
This time it’s a character who I care deeply about who I truly can’t see being a misogynistic/transphobic asshole.
Sure, people can headcannon him as whatever they want. That’s allowed. But don’t act like I’m misrepresenting facts dear lordy.
Fiona Glenanne(Burn Notice) is totally pro choice. She would happily fuck up anyone who had anything to say on the matter. Goes doubly for her partner Micheal Westen. They've both been screwed with and forced to do things they hated, they'd never want anyone else to be forced to do something against their will and would gladly resort to violence to defend someone else's right to choose.
Belle from Beauty and the Beast is a badass pro-choice bookworm!
Always an advocate for people’s rights, Belle knows what it is like to have society value you only for your reproductive abilities- remember when Gaston insisted she birth his "six or seven strapping young boys?" But you can bet that whether she actually she ever chooses to have children or not, nobody will ever be able to tell her what she can and cannot do with her body.
She also understands first-hand how the death of one person can affect an entire family, she would never want anyone else to be taken from their family and friends because of complications of an unwanted or dangerous pregnancy. She's read enough to know that the biggest tragedy is being on a life path you did not choose with a person you didn't chose. Romances are always best when the partners chose each other as she did her Prince, once she got to know him.
She knows exactly what it’s like to lose your freedom and your future at once and would never wish that on anyone.
She fought for her own right to be free and would fight for everyone to have that right.
It's upsetting pro-lifers.
*please send descriptions as to why as well!
Judy Hopps from Zootopia is pro-choice! She knows exactly what it's like to have people to tell you what you can and cannot do with your body and your life. This is why she will always support someone's choice in life. She cares deeply about the rights of others and their right to bodily autonomy.
Ellie Fredricksen from Pixar's "Up" is pro-choice. She wanted to become a mother when she wanted and with the man she loved only, and she feels that all people should become parents only if they want to and when they want to. Also, she knows how it feels when you have to put money aside all the time and she doesn’t wish for people to have children just when they cannot afford it. She believes everyone should try to be happy and optimistic, whether they have/want kids or not.
Olivia Benson from Law and Order SVU is pro choice!
She dedicates her life to making sure women (and everyone) can have justice regarding their own bodies and what happens to them. She would never want to see someone being forced to carry a pregnancy against their will and is disgusting that some people think they get an imput on other’s reproduction rights.
