A/N: This is it. The end. I'm sad that it's come to an end but so excited to have it out there. Thank you to everyone who has been reading either silently and/or commenting 💓🤩

Now

Dean had taken it upon himself to distract Brooke while Rowena did her thing, claiming to want to show her all the cool things the Men of Letters had accumulated over the years so Sam could focus on Rowena and her spell.

Sam was grateful Brooke wouldn’t have to ingest anything to break the curse. The potion Rowena was brewing did not look appetizing and smelled like the wrong end of a hellhound. Though, was there a right end to a hellhound?

Rowena sighed, and Sam saw the agitation in her eyes and pursed lips. “Everything okay?”

“While I am the best at what I do,” she explained, “memory spells are tricky at best. And though I enjoy the company of a strapping young lad such as yourself from time to time, you hovering over me like an oversized hawk is a wee bit distracting.”

“Sorry,” he said and moved from perching over her shoulder to a seat on the other side of the table. “It’s been a tough few weeks. I just need this done.”

For a moment, she looked sympathetic, but Sam knew it wasn’t for his weariness. “It’s almost done,” she said, picking up a vial of yellow flakes and tipping its contents into the bowl. “So what do you have to be so sullen about?”

“Not sure you noticed, but I burned down my girlfriend's house.” He sighed, rubbing a hand down his face, feeling the three days’ worth of growth on his cheeks. He’d had more important things to worry about than shaving, but he wondered how disheveled he looked.

My heart is full of rainbows and happiness for these two!!! ❤🧡💛💜💙💚💗😭

I love that they were able to get their happy ending, and that their future is so bright!!! Stace, you did such a fantastic job on this story! I laughed, I cried, I wanted to pummel a few characters for even trying to get between Sam and Brooke. This is truly a wonderful story, I'm so glad I could read it. Thank you for sharing it with us!!!

Yay 😀 you made it to the end 🥳😘 thank you so much for your reviews and reblogs, they’ve seriously made my day each time the notification came through 🤗

Thank you so much 💜for taking the time out of your day to read 🤩

Warnings: loss of home (house fire), shitty friend, angst, fluff, Rowena being the badass she is, canon-type violence.

Now

The red and blue lights flooded the neighborhood, illuminating a small crowd. Dean sped down the street, ignoring the four police officers, who all turned to scowl at the speeding vehicle.

“Oh, shit,” said Brooke, on the edge of the back seat to better see between the brothers.

The flames that had drawn the residents from their homes had been doused. However, a handful of her neighbors still milled about, pointing fingers and whispering to each other about the continuing activity on the usually quiet street.

The Impala rolled up at the curb, and Brooke was on the sidewalk, racing blindly toward the police line tape before it came to a complete stop.

“Let me through,” she demanded, struggling against the officer who attempted to restrain her. “It’s my house! Let me through!”

Brett’s familiar bellow broke through the scuffle, and the officers released her under his command. She ran to him, tears staining her cheeks, and as soon as her brother’s arms embraced her, she broke down. He pulled her tight to his chest, and she sobbed into him while he apologized. “The fire spread too fast. It was out of control before help arrived. They couldn’t save anything.”

Oh damn. Just, hold on-

Okay, so. Tommy infiltrated Emily? Presented this nice guy persona to get her to divulge info on Brooke? On the one hand, that's on him. On the other, Emily, come on, you just don't do that!!!

So, he was fueled not only by Emily's encouragement, but also a magical being Malikai who wanted to create a headache for Rowena. There's a lesson here, about who we choose to cohort with, I swear. I knew, I just knew he was a slime ball!! Unable to do this much damage on his own!!

Let's get Brooke back her memories!! 👏🏽👏🏽 And dig that six foot hole in the backyard for Tommy!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

He is a slime ball incapable of causing all this trouble on his own, you were right!! 😜👏🏻 Emily’s heart was in the right place, but that clearly meant her logic wasn’t 😂

While there isn’t a six foot hole waiting for Tommy, I think you’ll find his consequences are a satisfying end 😘

Samnesia - Chapter 8 - Poker Face

Series Summary: Brooke is a calming distraction from the chaotic mess of Sam’s life. When a hunt keeps them separated for over a month, Sam returns to find she no longer remembers him. The need to find out what happened while he was gone sends Sam on a case that will change the course of his life. What he discovers along the way will change the way he looks at love.

Chapter Info

SummaryNow: Sam’s frustrated that he’s no closer to figuring out the cause of Brooke’s amnesia. Could a friendly game of poker with Dean reveal the answer? Then: Sam tracks down Brooke to find out why she’s giving him the cold shoulder, and he doesn’t like what he finds.

W/C: 4.6k

Warnings: angst, confrontation, kidnapping,

Characters: Sam Winchester, Original Female Character (Brooke), other OC’s, Dean Winchester.

Then

Taking Dean’s advice to go and see Brooke proved to be a mistake. She hadn’t been home when Sam arrived just after eight-thirty. Her car was in the driveway, but his knock went unanswered. The place was shrouded in darkness with no sign of life inside. He had driven around town, visited all the places he knew she frequented, and finally found her. Though, finding her hadn’t brought him the answers he had hoped it would.

He had an unobstructed view of her on the other side of the room from where he sat in a booth at the back of the diner. Brooke looked good, healthy, and in high spirits. That much was a relief. Everything else he’d witnessed was the opposite. He’d seen every flirtatious smile she gave to the guy sitting across from her and felt his skin burn when she put her hand over a hand that didn’t belong to him.

From the partial view he had of her date, Sam could see that this new man was almost his opposite. He was just as tall and broad-shouldered, but his blond hair was cropped close and shaved neatly at the sides. He wore casual but obviously expensive clothes and a large, gaudy gold watch that reflected the fluorescent light every time he moved.

Anger bubbled inside of Sam, and he contemplated marching over and confronting the pair. Brooke owed him an explanation, or at the very least, the opportunity to understand what the hell had happened in the time he’d been gone. But the family diner wasn’t the place for a fight, and he’d been too worked up to trust himself to manage an adult discussion. Brooke had told him she was falling for him, practically told him she was in love with him, and now she was on a date with some random guy. He didn’t know how else to feel other than angry and hurt.

I'm so happy they finally found the source of her Samnesia!! Things were looking pretty grim there. Their conversation in the kitchen had me near tears!!

“Should I pretend I don’t remember you? The time before and the last two weeks? Should I just forget you?”

Ouch, ouch, ouch!!! Sam was lashing out, I get it, but that still hurt.

Has Tommy become desperate in trying to lure her out? Has this been Tommy on his own from the beginning?? Doesn't strike me as the kind of guy to concoct all of this on his own...

Also it has just occurred to me that we won't have any more Then scenes as we're all caught up right? That makes me so sad!!

Finally!! They figured it out 🥳

The kitchen conversation kinda broke me to write, not gonna lie.

Is Tommy luring her out or is it something else?! Who knows 🤷🏼‍♀️

You are all caught up, there’s no more “then”, but there is some fluff coming up, I promise 😘

Samnesia - Chapter 7 - Cold Shoulder

Series Summary: Brooke is a calming distraction from the chaotic mess of Sam’s life. When a hunt keeps them separated for over a month, Sam returns to find she no longer remembers him. The need to find out what happened while he was gone sends Sam on a case that will change the course of his life. What he discovers along the way will change the way he looks at love.

Chapter Info

SummaryNow: The timing is off, and Sam doesn’t want to tell Brooke how he feels, but actions speak louder than words. Then: Drunk phone calls lead to a confession, but Brooke unexpectedly gives Sam the cold shoulder.

W/C: 4.8k

Then

“I know other people that can handle this kind of thing. They can take the case,” said Sam. “They’ll be fine without me. I don’t have to go.”

“Yes, you do,” said Brooke, packing Sam’s folded t-shirts into the bag that lay open on the bed. “And if you don’t go, you’re no longer welcome to stay here.”

Sam scowled, though it went unnoticed, as she stepped into the closet. He took the t-shirts from the bag and returned them to his drawer. “I’ll sleep in my car outside,” he said matter-of-factly. “Makes no difference to me. But I’m not leaving you alone.”

“I’m not alone!” She groaned, then murmured, “I wish,” under her breath, though Sam still heard her. She gestured toward the window. “There are two cops on me at all times. My mom calls me several times a day. I swear Brett has my phone tapped, and Emily is my shadow when you’re not around.” She took her frustration out on the plaid shirts she’d pulled from the closet, folding them aggressively and shoving them into the bag. “I don’t remember what being alone feels like.”

When she turned back toward the closet, presumably to find more of Sam’s clothes to abuse, he blocked her path. “So I really have outstayed my welcome?”

In the middle of going "awwwwww" from those voicemails (they were hilarious and adorable!!!) I busted out laughing at this:

Mood immensely improved, he changed into his running attire, snapped a picture of Dean’s drooling face for ammunition should he ever need some later on, and left for his run.

So, of course, the next scene would be like bearing witness to a horrible crash! AND I'M OVER HERE LIKE:

Ohhhhhhhh that slime ball!!!!!! Poor Sam! Poor Brooke!!

THEY WERE SO HAPPY! EVEN WHEN THEY WERE DRIVING EACH OTHER CRAZY THEY WERE HAPPY!!! 😭😭😭

They were happy, you’re almost at the end so maaaaaybe they can be again 😘

Graphics@talesmaniac89

Then

An overzealous bird tweeted a happy song outside Brooke’s bedroom window. The sound seemed so close that it could have been sitting on her pillow. Somewhere between sleep and consciousness, she wished the window was open so she could throw something at it.

That was, until she felt Sam’s warm, heavy arm draped lazily over her waist. Maybe she had been hasty with her new musical friend. The delightful trill now reflected her mood.

She scooted backward, contouring her body to Sam’s. He hummed happily and curved his body to lock her in closer to his chest. As he lazily kissed her shoulder, a sleep-roughened, “Morning, baby,” vibrated over her skin.

“I like it when your voice is the first one I hear.”

He nuzzled her neck in reply, the tickle of his beard sending a warm shiver down her body that pooled in her center. Her skin danced with pleasant goosebumps, and the memory of the night before throbbed between her legs. Eight days had been too long to be apart, and Sam had taken the time to show her how much he’d missed her. He demonstrated on the kitchen table, the stairs (hence the bruise on the small of her back), and the bed that she’d been on his mind for the achingly long time he’d been gone this time. The broken plates were still strewn across the kitchen floor. Satisfied he’d more than documented the level of his longing, they’d fallen asleep after the fourth round. The mess they’d left in their wake had been forgotten. She should really clean up before…

OMGOMGOMG Just when you think the worst is when her ex shows up unannounced at her door!! Expecting to be let in and greeting her family because "he's part of the family too" (yes, I'm making a voice while writing that) - It. Gets. Much. Worse.

I had to catch my breath before continuing and then was downright terrified things were actually going to end! The dramaaaaa!!!! It was so good, I'm so fucking happy and relieved that Sam made arrangements to stay. Oh Sam, you knight in flannel shirts, you.

But wait, wait, wait! So why did he leave????

Thank you for giving us that great fluffy opening of Sam and Brooke together because wow did this chapter take a serious turn.

Haha 😂 @slytherkins and @deanwinchesterswitch were both very vocal about the ex showing up but I wanted the dramaaaaaaaaaa !! 😂

It did get worse, very much so, but Sam made it better 💜 knight in flannel shirts 🤣 the accuracy made me laugh 😝

🤔 why did he leave?! 🤔 all will be revealed 😘

I’m living for your reviews right now and I’m also working on one of your requests 😜 @justagirlinafandomworld 🤗

Chapter Info

SummaryNow: Brooke hints at knowing there’s something Sam isn’t telling her, but she doesn’t want to deal with it right now, instead wanting to hear more about her and Sam. Sam tells Brooke the truth about the Supernatural. Then: Free of all interruptions, Sam and Brooke finally get to be intimate.

W/C: 7.6k

Warnings: smut, slow burn, fluff, angst, injury description.

Characters: Sam Winchester, Original Female Character (Brooke).

Extra special shoutout to@slytherkins - this would not have been possible without her input, she deserves co-write credits.

Graphics@talesmaniac89

A/N: I commissioned @negans-lucille-tblr to write the smut scene way back in 2019. While there are still elements of her work, there have been significant changes with the rewrite.

Now

The hustle and bustle of the dinnertime rush in the restaurant was the only sound for a few minutes. A contemplative silence filled the space between them after Sam finished telling Brooke about the first time he cooked for her and the first time she met Dean. Sitting across from her, he could pretend it was like any other date they’d had.

Brooke had spent the day working, and Sam and Dean had researched. They’d all taken a break at lunch to eat sandwiches, but when the clock struck five, Brooke shut down her computer and suggested, very cautiously, they all go out to dinner. She said she needed to see the sun and was beginning to feel claustrophobic, but Sam suspected it was a test. She wanted to know if he would really let her leave. Dean told them to go on without him, that he’d grab something on his way back from the errand he needed to run. The errand was going to double-check her house for hex bags and sulfur, though Sam hadn’t told Brooke that minor detail.

She seemed to relax with each course that was served. The more he talked, the more she ignored the people around them and stopped looking around like she wanted to scream for help. By the time they’d finished dessert, she was completely relaxed.

Sam chanced a glance up at her when he felt the silence had gone on too long. Her eyes were focused on her wine glass. Her fingers absently ran up and down the stem while she seemed lost in her thoughts. He’d seen her wear that look before, the one that told him she wanted to ask him a question but didn’t want to put him in a position where he would have to lie to her.

“Ask me,” Sam coaxed, “whatever it is, you can ask me. I just told you that I promised never to lie to you.”

me for so much of this chapter:

“You’ve gotta have something to strive for,”

GIRL -- Yes. I approve.

I love how you're not holding back on the contrasts between the Then and Now scenes. Right after that euphoric high of Sam and Brooke finally reaching that next step; you give us Sam, isolated and lost within the vast confines of the bunker and it is s t u n n i n g. The kind of shift that would take our breath away on-screen.

And the parallel of him coming to her banged up after a hunt!!! *chef's kiss*💕

You had me lulled into the sweetness of Brooke trusting Sam, having their, for her at least, first kiss and Sam slowing things down because this is Sam and it wouldn't be right because it would mean something different for both of them. So lulled, that the last line was like being splashed with a bucket of cold water.

“I never should have left you. After we found out about the stalking, I should have stayed.”

I'm sorry - the stalking???!!!! *slams hands on table* SAAAAM!??! 😫 I need answers!!

🥰 I mean sex with Sam would be PERFECT but still gotta have goals 😝

Stunning?!?! I don’t think anyone has ever used that word to describe my writing before and I’m going to hold onto that like a lifeline 💓💗

The Stalking - all will be revealed 😘

Samnesia - Chapter 4 - Expectations

Series Summary: Brooke is a calming distraction from the chaotic mess of Sam’s life. When a hunt keeps them separated for over a month, Sam returns to find she no longer remembers him. The need to find out what happened while he was gone sends Sam on a case that will change the course of his life. What he discovers along the way will change the way he looks at love.

Chapter Info

SummaryThen: Sam makes Brooke dinner, and they discuss what they want from their relationship. Dean invites himself to meet Brooke.

W/C: 7k

Warnings: fluff, angst, slow burn, very mild smut, mentions of stalking.

Characters: Sam Winchester, Dean Winchester, Original Female Character (Brooke).

Extra special shoutout to@slytherkins - this would not have been possible without her input, she deserves co-write credits.

Graphics@talesmaniac89

Then

Sam stirred the pot of Mediterranean tomato and pepper sauce carefully to avoid spilling, then checked the texture of the pasta boiling nearby.

Relax, Sam, it’s all going to plan.

Taking a calming breath, he scanned Brooke’s kitchen. He’d somehow managed to make a mess on every available surface.

Sam hadn’t been able to get away to see Brooke all week until tonight. He made sure the bunker was stocked with milk and toilet paper and that there were no pressing matters before he left. All he wanted was a solid few uninterrupted hours to spend with Brooke.

He’d called her just before four o’clock, already en route to her house, to ask where she was. Since it was a Wednesday afternoon, he assumed (hoped) she was at work.

Brooke had stepped out of a meeting to take his call, but she promised it would be wrapped up soon and she would be home just after six. Maybe luck was on his side after all. He headed to the grocery store to purchase the ingredients to make dinner, then to the liquor store to pick up a bottle of red wine to complement the dish.

She had teased him about randomly showing up on her doorstep during one of their conversations and casually dropped the location of where she hid her spare key, just in case he ever decided to do it again when she wasn’t home, as he’d look suspicious just sitting in his car at the curb. It had been a not-so-subtle hint to tell him she wanted to see him again, and she welcomed his random visits. So today, he let himself in and got to work.

There is so much to digest in this chapter, I love it!! Sam is so fucking perfect!!! Slipping into her home, making a delicious dinner with a bottle of red, dressing nice, all just for her!!! 😭😭😭

And, *spoilers for the chapter* I did not see that interruption coming! The frustration was real. 😩 And also, are you introducing us to a new suspect??? 🧐*jots down ex onto detective's pad*✍ Those calls are super creepy and I hope Sam remembers them in the present.

Learning of Brooke's past engagement hurt and I can understand her precautions on top of being raised in a family of cops. Side note: please tell me her brother is no longer friends with that guy!

“Sammy!” said Dean, his tone suggesting it was a completely random and unexpected coincidence.

I outright laughed for a minute at this. These two can't catch a break!!!

Kudos to Brooke for holding her own under Dean's interrogation. His reality check to Sam was disheartening, I mean they've only just started making out properly, come onnnnnn!! 😫

And now Sam is in a tough spot. It was interesting reading how Dean let Sam lead the conversation to help play into his cover, but Brooke was able to see right through it.

Two things I'm wondering: 1) Did Sam eventually tell her the truth? 2) Are these particular flash backs memories Sam is sharing with Brooke, or are these memories he is mulling over and will push him to investigate that ex in the next chapter??

Sam is perfect and adorable 💜💝

Maybe the ex is involved, maybe he isn’t 🤷🏼‍♀️! Unfortunately, he’s still friends with her brother… you’ll see.

Interesting questions 🤔…

Samnesia - Chapter 3 - Girls' Night

Series Summary: Brooke is a calming distraction from the chaotic mess of Sam’s life. When a hunt keeps them separated for over a month, Sam returns to find she no longer remembers him. The need to find out what happened while he was gone sends Sam on a case that will change the course of his life. What he discovers along the way will change the way he looks at love.

Summary

  • Now: Sam and Dean try to narrow down the cause of Brooke’s memory loss.
  • Then: Sam and Brooke share their first kiss and get to know each other a little better.

W/C: 5.4k

Warnings: slow burn, fluff, angst.

Characters: Sam Winchester, Dean Winchester, Original Female Character (Brooke), OCs. Brief: Mary Winchester.

Then

Sam pulled on his jacket as he hurried through the corridors of the bunker, propelled by thoughts of Brooke. It had been over a week since he had seen her, and he couldn’t wait to be near her again. Eager as he was, he couldn’t deny his nervousness. He had decided that whatever happened, he was going to kiss her. Properly this time, not on the cheek. A full-blown, make-her-knees-weak kiss. At least, that was the plan.

They had communicated almost constantly over the past week, texting and calling whenever they could. Sam was captivated by every chat and wanted to talk to her again as soon they bid each other good night.

They talked about everything under the sun, asking probing, curious questions about everything from religion to snack preferences. Sam had been as honest as he could be without endangering his secrets.

He learned so much about her, and the more he discovered, the more he wanted to know. Everything he learned about her only intensified his hunger for her, emotionally and physically. So he had promised himself that, despite any interruptions, he would make a move regardless of what happened that night.

That was, if he could escape the bunker and the inquisition Dean was sure to subject him to. Sam groaned silently, seeing Dean nursing a beer, feet up on the map table, watching something apparently hilarious on his laptop. Though Dean’s eyes never left the screen, Sam knew he’d been seen and wouldn’t be able to avoid him.

It's been over a week (two? what's time?) since I left off reading this, but picking up this chapter feels just like slipping back into a juicy mystery novel.

I love the care you put into each character, allowing them room to breathe, to form into people we know/are getting to know and love. Dean and Mary ganging up on Sam; Brooke's friends stunned by Sam's presence then immediately rooting for him and Brooke because how could they not?

That first kiss, though, Stacey, omg it was everything!

I hope she gets her memories back, even though I'm positive -as much as she is - that Brooke is well on her way to falling in love with Sam again. This journey is going to be so much more complex the second time around, and I'm here for whatever misunderstandings are on the horizon.

“The only time this Winchester runs is if something is chasing him.”

Thank you sleepy, grumpy Dean for spilling info that Brooke is definitely going to use to do a bit of digging! I love him though and I get it. I'm nowhere near coherent before 9AM on the weekends lol

This Tommy guy is being hella suspicious. The last thing we need is for him to come barging in and interrupting this investigation...would he be at the point of stalking her house after not hearing from her all night? The gears are spinning...

Yay 😁 life finally gave you a 5 minute break 💜🥰

That first kiss 💋 I looooooooove it so much 🙃

Dean spilled the beans, let’s see what she does with the information 😜

Thank you as always for the support and love 🥰

Then

Sam lost himself in vivid daydreams about Brooke more than once during the following week. Was she working? Or was she bikini-clad on a white sandy beach, sipping a fruity cocktail with one of those ridiculous little umbrellas? He fought it as long as he could, but curiosity won. By day four, he had searched for her on social media. He had seen a letter in her kitchen with her last name, and it hadn’t taken him long to find her public Instagram account.

She had uploaded three photos since Sam had met her. The first was of her on a plane, headphones around her neck, with the caption: “ready to take off for a week of hard work and maybe some play😜.” The second photo was of her with her head leaning in close to an attractive blonde woman who was tagged @emily3509 and had the caption: “can’t stay mad at this one for long! #SheDitchesMeAlot #FriendsSinceChildhood.” That had given Sam a chuckle. Clearly, Emily was the reason he had met Brooke. He’d made a mental note to thank her if the chance ever presented itself.

The latest photo had been uploaded the night before. Ten freshly tanned people sat around a large table filled with colorful, amazing-looking food, their drinks held high. Brooke sat closest to the camera, sporting a huge, proud grin on her sun-kissed face. The caption read: “Love my team. Hard work pays off. #FeelingGrateful.”

By the time Saturday rolled around, he had given up trying to convince himself that he wasn’t eager to see her in person again. Before he left the bunker, Sam checked Brooke’s Instagram for an update. There had been no new photos. He spent the better half of the drive to her house wondering what she might be doing just then.

Me reading this chapter:

Seriously!! From the very beginning with how smitten Sam is with her, checking her Instagram and daydreaming about her to meeting her in the driveway and she's looking ✨stunning✨ holding that pizza!

Side note: I'm picking the pineapple off my slice and giving them all to you, you're welcome. 😉

I love how they are getting to know each other, over binge watching, pizza and beer.

He had wanted a night, just one night, to relax. He’d wanted to escape for a while, and if that escape meant he could spend time with a kind, friendly, beautiful woman, he wasn’t going to complain.

Sammy!!!🥺🥺🥺 I want this for him so badly!

He was a mile from her house when he realized he had forgotten to ask for her number. Again. “Shit!”

I am barely able to form a coherent review for the rest because my emotions are still so fresh, so buckle up, hon, for all the shouting..

WHEN SAM CAUGHT HER IN THE KITCHEN!!!💓💓💓 I swear, my soul left my body. The way he watched her, that smile - AND THEN HE CAUGHT HIMSELF AND TRIED TO KEEP IT FROM HER!!!! 😢💔💔💔

BUT SHE STILL FLIRT WITH HIM ANYWAY!!! 😫🔥❤💗

And then to twist the knife in the heart, you give us that beautiful moment when he finally does ask for her number!!!! I would be BEYOND PISSED if I had lived that only for the memory to be stolen. I MEAN!!! WHO DOES THAT?!

An asshole whose identity we may have learned in this chapter????? 🤔🤔🤔

The cuteness of these two, their chemistry, THE TENSION!!!! I want so badly for them to have a happy ending!!!

This is a wonderful chapter Stace!! I'm excited for the next!!!!

Your reviews make me…

I cannot express how giddy seeing these notifications makes me 😍seriously the 3 years (that’s not a typo I started it in 2019) that went into creating this and the help from my wonderful beta’s @slytherkins and @deanwinchesterswitch seems worth it just to get this kind of reaction so thank you 💜🥰😍

Then

How did Brooke always attract the asshole? Why was it always her?

The answer usually involved her friend, Emily.

The most recent douchebag to be caught in Brooke’s inexplicable ’asshole-tractor-beam’, Tommy, currently sat a little too close to her. He hadn’t wasted any time in occupying Emily’s vacated seat beside her at the bar. It was probably still warm when Tommy had invited himself to refill it. In the - she checked her watch - forty minutes that she had been stranded with the jerk, she realized that her problem was that she was just too nice to tell him to fuck off.

Tommy was tall, casually well-dressed, broad-shouldered, and had a nice smile. He would have totally been Brooke’s type if he hadn’t been so persistent. Otherwise, she might have thought he was a decent-looking, genuine guy.

She would have been wrong. He was completely self-centered, talking only about himself and ignoring everything Brooke said. He hadn’t even acknowledged her when she told him she needed to use the bathroom. He’d just kept talking as though he expected her to put off her basic human needs to listen to him.

He was obnoxious, but the ominous feeling she was wrestling with now hadn’t started to grow until Tommy had become increasingly insistent that Brooke spend the night with him. His eyes turned colder every time she tried to brush him off, and the smile he’d donned when he first sat with her had long since gone serpentine. There was a difference in his demeanor, and she was starting to suspect that something terrible might happen to her if she refused.

Eventually, Brooke agreed to go home with Tommy so he’d shut up long enough for her to use the bathroom before they left. She had no intention of leaving with him. Her plan was to sneak out the bathroom window, go to her car, and split.

I love your writing, I swear. Your characters are always so tangible, three-dimensional; I can easily visualize every scene like I'm a fly on the wall.

Their first meeting is the best, amusingly unconventional and amplified x5k with that beautiful pic by @slytherkins. 💓 Brooke seeking refuge in the Impala was a thrill to read because, it's an intimate space for the boys. The Impala is their home and not only did Sam invite her in, he offered to take her home and that's - it's a level of vulnerability and trust for both of them.

And I'm enjoying these little pieces you give:

Sam reached his arms over his head as he stood to stretch his back and shoulders. Although the couch had been comfortable, he must have slept in the same position all night, and his neck cracked audibly as his head rolled from side to side. He lowered his arms, and his gaze drifted down to find Brooke staring at him

She was leaning against the door frame, coffee mug in hand, seeming to enjoy the view of his stomach where his shirt had ridden up.

Because that view of his stomach is exactly where my mind went, so thank you.🥰

“Sam,” he offered, averting his gaze to hide the pain that shot through him. She’d said his name in so many ways: sighed happily when answering his call, breathy and passion-filled while she came undone beneath him, sleepily and contentedly when she woke up beside him. Now she had to be reminded what it was.

And this shot through my heart more than I expected. I'm rooting for a happy ending for Sam, of course. This is such a juicy journey you're taking us on though, I'm enjoying every paragraph, every word!

☺️thank you 🤗

The Impala scene is what started this whole thing and I still love it 🥰 and the wonderful @slytherkins picture makes it so much better 💜

So glad we’re on the same wavelength cause that peek of stomach is 🤤🥵…

There’s lots of angst in the now to come but lots of fluff and some smutty fun in the then 💜

I’m so excited that your reading this 😘

Now

The Winchester Brothers were predisposed to questionable decisions. They were born from questionable decision-making stock. Take Mary Winchester and her deal with Yellow Eyes, for example. Or John Winchester and his deal with Yellow Eyes, for that matter. But Sam kidnapping a woman - a very human, non-supernatural woman - from an apple pie suburban neighborhood at eleven-thirty on a Wednesday night was firmly in the top ten on Dean's 'Sam Did a Bad Thing' list, and he'd been very vocal in expressing his feelings on the matter.

“This is fucking bad, Sam,” Dean told him for the hundredth time.

Sam knew that. He was acutely aware that casting a sleeping spell on a woman was a Bad Thing. He knew it was even worse that he’d literally dragged said sleeping woman into his car and currently had her in his bed. The situation had quickly spun out of control, and he hadn’t been able to rein in his emotions long enough to think rationally, but there was no going back now.

Dean paced the corridor outside Sam’s closed bedroom door and, rather unnecessarily, continued to lecture his younger brother. “You get that this is beyond screwed up, right?” Dean took a deep breath but didn’t pause long enough for Sam to answer. “You’ve practically kidnapped the daughter of a police chief. Hell, there’s no ‘practically’ about it. Sam, you kidnapped...” he drawled the word, pronouncing every syllable precisely, “...the daughter of a goddamn cop!”

Had Sam not been on the verge of freaking out, he’d have rolled his eyes. Dean was talking to him as if he hadn’t been the one to knock her out with a sleep spell and bundle her into the back of his car.

“I know, Dean!”

He didn’t need the glaringly obvious stated; he needed help. He needed his big brother, his hunting partner. He needed Dean to stop lecturing him and help him work the case. And Sam was convinced there was a case. He just needed his brother to sign on and be the level-headed one. Funny how those shifts in dynamic seemed to sneak up on them in times like these.

STACEY. Love, this is only the prologue but I'm already so invested it's ridiculous! The driving force so far? Sam and Dean. That frenzy Sam has, that unthinking chaos where he dives in head-first because he knows he has to and floundering when suddenly the consequences come a-knocking. That's our poor moose, alright. Also, hilariously, the irritation Sam feels for his brother because Dean isn't getting on board and helping him fast enough.

It was one thing for Dean to know about this mess, but to be dragged into it had him leveling Sam with a glare of John Winchester-level intensity.

I about cackled!

I'm excited to read more, to learn about Sam and Brooke and figure out what happened to her memory. I'm late to the party, but trust I'm going to make a splash anyway!

Yvette, baby, honey, sweetie, I literally squealed when I saw you’d discovered this 💜

I’m super proud of this one and I can’t wait for you to get to know Sam and Brooke 🤗
