A/N: This is my second follow celebration personalized fic! This one is for yet another immensely patient follower, @plaidstiel-wormstache who put up with me peppering her with questions about all manner of weird things (most of which didn’t even end up in here). Special thanks to @littlegreenplasticsoldier who beta read this monster and helped me get the accent a little closer to reality. Honorable mention to @faith-in-dean who helped me title it! These are all quality women with quality blogs and you should be following them!

Summary: Sam and Dean meet Jessie, and the rest is history.

Prompt: Whatever moved me, preferably fluff.

Pairing: Sam x Jessie 

Warnings: None. It’s so fucking fluffy you could pet it.

Word count: 2382 (Believe me, you don’t want it longer. The story took a very weird turn around 2500 words, and I decided it was better to end it fluffy.)

Sam was impressed by Jessie from the first moment he saw her. Admittedly, when he first saw her, he was actually seeing a Leviathan impersonating her, but when the monster was as dead as Levis got, she was still impressive. He had almost a foot in height over her, but she was a whirlwind of furious anger with long, dark hair and an explosive expression. She got up off the floor where she’d been thrown, stormed over to the impersonator’s head, and kicked it across the warehouse like a champion soccer player.

“That’s what y’get fer messin’ with the big boys, y’slimey bastard!” she screamed as the head hit a wall with a wet thump and rolled around a corner. She looked up at Sam triumphantly while her chest heaved and her hands landed on her hips. “So, big boy, are there more of those things around here that need killin’ or is this the part where I take you out to dinner to thank you for savin’ me life?”

Sam’s mouth flapped silently while his brain tried to catch up. Her accent enthralled him while he fought to look away from her eyes as they sparkled with mischief. “You’re not going to ask me what that was or what’s going on?”

Jessie shrugged and gave him a lopsided smile. “Mate, I’m from Australia. It’s not a proper Monday morning ‘til ya’ve killed five things that wanna kill ya back!”

The smile that shone from her face was the first thing to warm Sam’s heart since Bobby had died, and he immediately hoped he would see more of it. In spite of everything that was going on around him, for the first time in a very long time, Sam laughed, and his fate was sealed.

Dean had taken it upon himself to distract Brooke while Rowena did her thing, claiming to want to show her all the cool things the Men of Letters had accumulated over the years so Sam could focus on Rowena and her spell.

Sam was grateful Brooke wouldn’t have to ingest anything to break the curse. The potion Rowena was brewing did not look appetizing and smelled like the wrong end of a hellhound. Though, was there a right end to a hellhound?

Rowena sighed, and Sam saw the agitation in her eyes and pursed lips. “Everything okay?” 

“While I am the best at what I do,” she explained, “memory spells are tricky at best. And though I enjoy the company of a strapping young lad such as yourself from time to time, you hovering over me like an oversized hawk is a wee bit distracting.” 

“Sorry,” he said and moved from perching over her shoulder to a seat on the other side of the table. “It’s been a tough few weeks. I just need this done.”

For a moment, she looked sympathetic, but Sam knew it wasn’t for his weariness. “It’s almost done,” she said, picking up a vial of yellow flakes and tipping its contents into the bowl. “So what do you have to be so sullen about?”

“Not sure you noticed, but I burned down my girlfriend's house.” He sighed, rubbing a hand down his face, feeling the three days’ worth of growth on his cheeks. He’d had more important things to worry about than shaving, but he wondered how disheveled he looked.

Sam pulled on his jacket as he hurried through the corridors of the bunker, propelled by thoughts of Brooke. It had been over a week since he had seen her, and he couldn’t wait to be near her again. Eager as he was, he couldn’t deny his nervousness. He had decided that whatever happened, he was going to kiss her. Properly this time, not on the cheek. A full-blown, make-her-knees-weak kiss. At least, that was the plan.

They had communicated almost constantly over the past week, texting and calling whenever they could. Sam was captivated by every chat and wanted to talk to her again as soon they bid each other good night.

They talked about everything under the sun, asking probing, curious questions about everything from religion to snack preferences. Sam had been as honest as he could be without endangering his secrets.

He learned so much about her, and the more he discovered, the more he wanted to know. Everything he learned about her only intensified his hunger for her, emotionally and physically. So he had promised himself that, despite any interruptions, he would make a move regardless of what happened that night.

That was, if he could escape the bunker and the inquisition Dean was sure to subject him to. Sam groaned silently, seeing Dean nursing a beer, feet up on the map table, watching something apparently hilarious on his laptop. Though Dean’s eyes never left the screen, Sam knew he’d been seen and wouldn’t be able to avoid him.

Whoops, now she has a laptop, internet, and their last name, so she's gonna find out some STUFF. Yikes!!

He’s drunk. Again.

The room is trashed. Holes in the wall, the white plaster showing, chairs toppled over, lamps laying in pieces where they fell, the tv smashed. It smells like someone died drinking copious amounts of whisky, smoking cheap cigarettes while sweating buckets, and then decided vomiting uncontrollably would be their last act of destruction. 

What is that? Fuck. The carpet is burned. A small black patch at the side of the bed. Just another thing we’ll have to pay for.

I fling open the curtains and crack the window.

It’s dark outside so no light filters in but Dean grumbles something from the bed. He’s on his stomach, face squished against the pillow and I don’t quite catch it.

“What?” 

He lifts his head enough to mumble, “Fuck off,” a little clearer this time.

But what made the least amount of sense to Nikki was right in front of her. Her own eyes witnessed the very thing she’d suspected of Sam but never truly believed. She still didn’t quite believe it, yet she was seeing it with her own two eyes.

Surely her mind was playing tricks on her.

Sam’s mouth latched on to Ruby’s wrist, breathlessly he pulled back and licked the small trickle of blood from the corner of his mouth.

He looked like Sam, like her Sam. He was wearing Sam’s clothes; he had his hair, the slight crease in his brow that she loved to see smoothed out when she was beneath him. He appeared to be the sweet and courageous man she fell in love with, the person who woke her from nightmares with a soft touch and gentle words. But who was going to wake her from this nightmare?

I am heartbroken and I want to beat the crap out of sam and kill ruby.

“Six months,” Crowley countered leaving no margin for protest, “I’ll arrange for you to meet them, and for them to reveal the truth to you about what they do, but the rest is on you. Six months, poppet, or all bets are off.” 

After she finished, the silence stretched, tense and breathless. Pain and betrayal and remorse seemed to waft through the air like a poisoned fog. Dean’s mind was a jumble of contrary thoughts, but he held his tongue and watched Sam closely. The muscles rippled across his brother’s jaw as he seemed to literally chew on his own contemplation. Erin’s eyes were locked on the polished floor, and her chest heaved, though she didn’t otherwise move. Dean could see she was attempting to suppress the tears that collected in the corners of her eyes; tears of relief, maybe, now that the secret was out, or of fear of what he would do. 

“I know sorry doesn’t even begin to…” she began, but her small and anguished voice broke. She took a deep breath and tried again. “I know it isn’t enough, but it’s all I have. I’m so sorry,” she managed, her tears finally cascading down.

Dean waited a breath to give Sam the opportunity to respond first, but his brother was lost in thought. Dean ran a hand down his face and cleared his throat. He was careful to keep his tone even, though his voice was tight when he asked, “What did you tell him?”

Sunlight streamed through the windows of the cabin. Lucia’s eyes fluttered open reluctantly.

“Hello, gorgeous,” Sam placed a kiss on the side of her mouth. His breath was already minty fresh. He must’ve gotten up and visited the bathroom. Her lips drifted into a sleepy smile. He kissed her again, more deeply, pulling her close.

She sighed deeply and rolled away. “Ugh,” she said, in response to morning and waking up in general, not to his welcome touch. Sam let her go, knowing that she needed a little time.

She rolled out of bed reluctantly, taking a moment for her feet to hit the floor. She wandered to the bathroom, yawning.

… Sam watched her go, unable to pull his eyes away from the sway of her hips and the curve of her ass under her t-shirt. They had arrived at the cabin yesterday afternoon, and spent last night just relaxing. They had eaten too much and drank too much and enjoyed sitting together in front of the fireplace, talking lazily as they watched the flames leap and crackle.

She had dozed off with her head on his shoulder. He loved seeing her so relaxed, so soft. For a long moment, he had sat still, just watching the firelight on her face. Then he had woken her just enough to lead her to bed. She had slipped off her jeans and bra and laid back in just her t-shirt.

He was sweet, attentive, and gentle, and she prayed his gentlemanly ways were a consequence of his injury. Still the gentle kisses held a promise of great things to come. His light caress of her cheek was electrifying, but the fingers that gripped her hips were demanding and eager. 

They talked, listened to music, and swapped stories. She felt like a teenager, butterflies fluttered in her stomach whenever Sam, seemingly absentmindedly, took her hand and kissed her knuckles. She could feel the dorky smile on her mouth, but she felt no embarrassment, Sam frequently had the same expression.

At approximately the halfway point, Casey pulled off the highway and into the first motel she happened across. She’d happily have continued driving, Sam looked peaceful, but a little uncomfortable, napping in the passenger seat. But they both needed to rest, and she needed to make the call she’d been putting off since Sam had asked her to go with him.

Casey littered his neck with kisses, nibbled his earlobe, and her hand returned to continue the job he’d stopped her mouth from completing. The skin of her thigh was smooth, Sam’s calloused hand was surprisingly gentle, and goosebumps broke out all over her. What wonderful fluffy-ish smut!!! You’re darn right, it’s not temporary! (not so temporary, lol) What a perfect ending. These two really were made for each other, and you can see that in the way they interact, the gentleness, the joking, the easiness. It’s such a beautiful depiction of a relationship.
