A/N: Hi all. SO @pinknerdpanda and I have been cooking up a little something something and we are ready to share it with you. We co-wrote this little mini series and we will be taking turns posting chapters daily until it’s finished. Y/N had just finished drying her hair and was applying some mascara when she heard Bucky’s disbelieving tone beyond her door, “You’re here already!”
Sam’s reply was closer than Bucky’s, he must have been leaning against her door. “The early bird gets the girl, Grandpa!”
Y/N’s laugh drowned out whatever insult Bucky threw back and she opened the door to see them shoving each other. “Okay, okay!” she called to stop the fight before it got out of hand.
They stood straight but still shoved at each other as they walked into her room.
“Okay,” she started once they’d turned to face her and stopped their childish behaviour. “I think this needs to stop, once and for all. So my proposal is a bit of friendly competition.”
“There’s no competition, doll,” Bucky winked, “I’m twice the man he is!”
Sam scoffed but Y/N spoke before he could respond. If they kept going back and forth insulting each other they’d be there all day. “So there’s certain qualities I like in a man. I’m gonna set you both some tasks to prove you have the qualities I’m looking for. At the end of the day I’ll decide who’s proved themselves the most and that person can take me on a date.”
Bucky’s smile smoothed to a shit-eating grin, he obviously already thought he had this in the bag. Sam grinned, flashing his pearly teeth, “Sounds fair.”
Y/N clapped her hands together, this was going to be fun! “Okay the first quality I look for is bravery.”
“We’re Avengers, you know we’re brave,” Sam pointed out.
“That’s true, but I kinda wanna test your limits.”
“Name it!” Bucky encouraged.
Sam was just as eager, “I’ll do whatever you want, baby girl!”
She couldn’t help the sly smirk that spread her mouth wider, they had no idea what they were letting themselves in for. “You both have to go lick Nat.”
