Summary: Bucky has been disappearing every morning for almost a month. Curiosity gets the better of Tori and she follows him, what she discovers is unexpected and brings out the softer side of the Winter Soldier.

Stalking, or rather following, the Winter Soldier shouldn’t have been as easy as it was. However, Tori was proud of herself for remaining unseen for the better part of an hour.
Bucky had been sneaking out of the compound every morning at dawn for almost a month now. At first, she thought he was going for an early morning jog, but when she’d asked if she could join him, he’d stuttered over a polite rejection. It only raised her suspicions. She tried to coax more information from the very guarded super soldier, and she was certain, had it not been for Sam commenting on their whispering and longing looks, he’d have told her. But Sam Wilson’s big mouth had made Bucky close off that little bit extra, and he’d then proceeded to avoid being alone with her.
So, her only option had been to stalk him.
Like clockwork, as the sun crept over the horizon, Bucky snuck to the garage and rolled his motorbike out, not switching on the engine until he was safely on the road outside of the compound. Tori had been lying in wait on a side street and followed after him, keeping three car lengths back as much as she could.
Bucky’s first stop had been the meat market. Who knew it was open so early? The place was bustling with activity. Before Bucky had switched off his engine, a guy with a blood splattered apron approached him with three large parcels wrapped in newspaper. Money was exchanged, and Bucky hopped off his bike long enough to put the parcels in his backpack before continuing.
