Bradley was lounging in his bunk on base in San Diego, partaking in his weekly phone call home to his parents. He smiled as he held the phone to his ear while Carole Bradshaw talked a mile a minute. He kept trying to cut in, knowing she would want to hear what he had to say, but she was going on and on about her cousin Brenda.
"Mom," he tried again, running his fingers through his hair.
"Oh, Bradley, all the cousins want to see you. Do you know when you'll be back in Virginia? Your dad and I figured you'd be back on base here by Thanksgiving at the latest?"
daggers, assemble! “Your ancestors called it magic, and you call it science. Well, I come from a place where they’re one and the same thing.” 🦸🏻♂️ ⚡️ 🔨
Heyyy I was wondering if you could do a rooster x reader where the reader and rooster have like 8 kids and the rest of the dagger squad meets the reader and roosters kids and are all shocked at how many kids rooster has? Maybe 7 boys and 1 girl who’s his absolute angle btw just something very soft cute and sweet
Aww that's such a cute idea! Thanks for the request, anon <3 Hope you like it!
Rooster's Brood
Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw x F!Reader
Summary: The squad gets a little surprise in the form of Rooster spawn.
CW: fluff, dad Rooster, Rooster loves his hot wife, some Hannix vibes, Hangman may actually be the superstar of this drabble..oops
“Uh, Rooster.” Jake furrows his eyebrows in confusion. “There’s a kid behind you making faces. No, scratch that,” he adds, a look of concern washing over his features. “There are two of them. Or am I seeing double?” He blinks several times and rubs his eyes.
Bradley grins at Jake while the rest of the squad gathers around to investigate the situation. When Bradley turns around, the two boys rush at him with open arms. Bradley squats down to gather them up.
“Rooster, I don’t know how to tell you this,” Natasha says warily. “But there are more of them coming your way.”
The group of aviators look down the beach to see five more boys of various ages gunning for Rooster.
“Maybe he used to be a kindergarten teacher?” Bob says hopefully, brushing sand from his shorts.
“Either that or he’s finally found a likeminded group of individuals who share his level of intellect,” Jake says with a grimace.
“Why would you insult the children like that, Hangman?” Javy says with a smile. Jake chuckles while Natasha rolls her eyes at them, shaking her head.
Summary: Things between you and Bradley have not been the same since the Uranium Plant mission. You’re not sure how much longer you can handle it. Based on a prompt from this list by @creativepromptsforwriting!

You weren’t sure how you got to this point in your relationship. It was never supposed to be like this. Bradley was your soulmate, that you were sure of. Correction, you used to be sure. The last couple of months had you questioning that, amongst other things, communication between you two had been minimal. Sometimes you wondered why you stayed but you couldn’t find it in your heart to leave him, even if he had emotionally left you behind.
Bradley had been permanently assigned to an elite squadron based in San Diego after the Uranium Plant mission. While you initially stayed in Virginia during the training for that detachment, you ended up moving out to North Island once he got confirmation the placement was permanent. Between the move and all of his training, you barely got to see one another.
You were certain the last mission had left him rattled, and with his anxiety, you wanted nothing more than to help him through it. However, he wouldn’t talk to you about it. Instead, in the rare moments he was home, you tried to talk to him but he diverted the conversation elsewhere or found an excuse to go to bed early, watch TV, or go for a drive to distract himself.
