It’s close to three am and she’s not as tired as she thinks she should be after helping Sarah set up for her annual Valentine’s Day party, stay the whole way through and then help clean up after everyone was gone.
She’s even making noodles, for Christ’s sake.
She perks up as she hears footsteps coming down the stairs, and thinking it’s Sarah, she throws over her shoulder, “It’s almost ready, babe.”

Darling, this is so cute! I love imagining the boys hanging out a Disney (even if Bucky is committed to being a grump). And I love that even though the reader doesn't think same reciprocates her feelings, it's never played out like she somehow thinks she unworthy, and she always comes across as confident and self possessed. I love a reader who doesn't question her worth, even if she feels unlucky in love. That's for this adorable read!
