Writing is Hard - ANNOUNCING A NEW PODCAST

Hey guys!!

I’m so excited to announce something I’ve wanted to do for a long time now! 

A fan fiction podcast! I’m so excited to start this new project with the wonderful @mrswhozeewhatsis​, @supernatural-jackles​ and @writethelifeyouwant​ (and I’m sure others that will join us along the way)

We have so many ideas and episodes planned for this podcast, ranging from discussing Reader Insert vs OCs, how to overcome writer’s block, dealing with negative feedback and SO SO SO much more!! 

The intro will be up soon, and the first series is “Back to Basics”. I’m joined by @writethelifeyouwant​ for the first several episodes, where we’ll talk about the language of fan fiction, and how to get started as a writer, with lots of advice and tips for anyone who’s thinking of dipping their toe into the writing side of fan fiction!

“I did, but things change.”

“What’s changed, Dean? I came back. You promised me it would be better this time. I’m a fucking idiot for believing you!” 

I turn to leave, but Dean grips me, just like he did that day in the deli, and I turn back around to look at him again, tears making his eyes look more green. “I love you,” he offers. 

“Then make me believe you mean it.”

My eyes flicker to the alarm that’s blinking bright green lights at me. Ten past three. I turn my head, eyes landing on the empty space next to me and I sigh, staring back at the ceiling. I should’ve known from the first time. There was a reason we broke up - there was a reason I walked away. But seeing him in that deli made my resolve break, and hearing him beg for me back was the final straw. But it’s the same bullshit even after every promise he made that night. I should’ve known to keep my expectations low.

5.32pm. Looking around the Deli I take a deep breath. The text that begged me to meet reads 5pm. I promised myself I’d give him until half past. I’m two minutes into breaking that promise. It’s warm as I slide out of the booth and feel my skin unstick from the leather seat. I throw down enough cash to cover my tab and take one last look at the booth that was meant to close a chapter. I guess I have to close it without him. Before I can step outside I feel a hand wrap around my wrist. 

“Dean.”

Spotlight Sunday! Coming Soon!

Hey guys! So I’ve been debating doing something like this for a while now! And I figured as I’m reaching 4000 of you, now would be a good time to start!

I remember starting out as a blog on here, not knowing anyone, not sure how to get any exposure to the community and what really helped me grow (and what still does) is people talking about and reblogging my work. 

So! If you’re new to tumblr or even if you’re an older blog, but you feel like you’re not reaching many people, then this might be for you! You don’t have to be a writer, this feature is also for artists/graphic designers etc. Basically any fandom creators within the SPN, TWD or MCU fandoms!

The way it works is simple!

If you’d like to be considered to be featured, or would like to nominate someone else to be featured all you have to do is fill out this form!

On Sundays (hopefully every Sunday but no promises) I will pick one blog to feature on my page. I will post a whole post about that creator and their blog. I’ll link to their masterlist, a oneshot/drabble/creation I particularly enjoyed and the fic/creation that writer considers their most underappreciated piece. That creator will then be added to a masterlist of all previously featured creators too, so people can go back and revisit them in future! 

I’m hoping at least some of my followers will then want to check these out off the back of these features!

I’m not sure how popular this is going to be so I’m gonna go ahead and say that I won’t guarantee that everyone that applies will be featured. I also only want to feature creators whose works I genuinely enjoy - fics and art that I would genuinely recommend. So you can trust the blogs featured will have great content! I’m also hoping this will help me read some more!

Negans-lucille-tblr’s First Birthday!

Guys!!! On the 18th Feb it’s going to be my blog’s FIRST BIRTHDAY!

Firstly, I never stick at anything for longer than a week so the fact I’ve had this blog a whole year is actually kinda a miracle. 

Secondly, in only a year I am 100 shy of 4000 of you amazing, lovely, incredible people <3 That blows my freaking mind! (pretty sure I say that a lot but it’s totally true!)

Thirdly, this blog has literally changed my life (I know I know, puke!) but honestly, it’s given me so much confidence in my writing, it’s made me believe in myself more and I’ve made some life long friends through this! If you’d have told me this time last year I was about to start a writing blog and that in less than a year’s time I’d be making money from something I am so incredibly passionate about as a hobby I’d have honestly laughed in your face. Yet, here we are!

So…on that note, I’m gonna be doing a couple of things to celebrate!

Chapter Ten

“I’ve gotta go, Y/N, I’ll see you,” Dean calls into the bathroom through the closed door separating you. He sounds panicked, but that’s not much new for him. Although he seemed to be getting better with the whole guilty conscience of sleeping with his brother’s girlfriend, this is the first time he has initiated it, and maybe that’s playing on his mind now. Until now he’d given in to you, he’d fought at first before succumbing, which was a world away from turning up on your doorstep, looking for sex with you. There was a line there before, but he’s crossed it now and there was no going back from that. It did seem a little odd that he would come here, start something with you all of a sudden, when you’d had to try so hard to seduce him before now. But maybe your tricks are finally working. Maybe he has finally been caught. You are practically an expert at getting men to fall in love with you, so it was only a matter of time. The poor Winchester brothers stood no chance, really.

You know now, more than ever, you need to get close to him, find out what he knows, maybe you’ll have to abort all your plans here and go on the run again. Another fake name, another makeover. You swayed your hips to the radio and hummed along to the songs under your breath as you grabbed another bauble and tried to find the perfect place for it on the tree. 

“Now the jingle hop has begun…” you sang quietly, hooking the large red bauble onto a spare branch. “Hey, you.” You turned around to see one of your colleagues leaning in the doorway. Sam worked on the desk opposite yours and you often spent the whole day chatting and laughing over silly little things. You and Sam had always had a pretty flirty relationship. You’d be lying if you said you didn’t fancy him. He was tall, muscular and had the cutest dimples when he smiled. But he had never asked you out and you were far too shy to ask him yourself. Sam flicked the long strand of brunette hair out of his face effortlessly as he dug his hands into his slack pockets. “Thought I’d find you in here slacking off,” he joked as he pushed off the doorframe and walked into the room. He approached the box of decorations you were taking from and grabbed a bauble, finding somewhere for it on the tree. He picked the wrong place, but you’d move it later.
