Negan was not one to fall asleep easily but tonight was proving more difficult than usual. He turned the lamp on and off, then back on. The warm glow from the bedside table was either a comfort or too bright. His body couldn’t decide which way was preferable. He pulled at the sheets, pushed them off again. The heat of summer was suffocating; his skin was melting against the sheets and the lack of a breeze from the open window did nothing to help.
It wasn’t just that it was summer, that had him feeling hot and bothered, it was his thoughts of you. The photo you sent; the red lace underwear, your sparkling eyes and the mischievous grin on your painted lips. Oh, how he had loved it when his phone flashed with a notification during an important meeting, but he despised the text that accompanied the provocative picture two more days.
