Inspiration used for @shmoo92 and my design of Red Robin’s converted Movie Theatre home. I’m posting the floor plan on deviantArt in a moment, but wanted to be able to link to our references. Using that site is confusing.

Figuring this out with Shmoo92 was so fun! She’s writing a story and wanted references, so I went and looked around online and in the comics, while she TALKED TO REAL PEOPLE. Like, Chris Yost, Marcus To AND Fabian Nicieza. Both on Twitter AND by email! How do people DO that?

2,300-Year-Old Plush Bird from the Altai Mountains of Siberia (c.400-300 BCE): this artifact was crafted with a felt body and reindeer-fur stuffing, all of which remains intact

This stuffed bird was sealed in the frozen barrows of Pazyryk, Siberia, for more than two millennia, where a unique microclimate enabled it to be preserved. The permafrost ice lense formation that sits just beneath the barrows provides an insulating layer, preventing the soil from heating during the summer and allowing it to quickly freeze during the winter; these conditions produce a separate microclimate within the stone walls of the barrows themselves, thereby aiding in preservation.

This is just one of the many well-preserved artifacts that have been found at Pazyryk. These artifacts are attributed to the Scythian/Altaic cultures.

My best friend (of 11 years) and I didn't see eachother for 4 years, didn't talk, text, or even follow eachother on Instagram. We both made new friendships and went on different paths in life, (I'm an artist and in college for teaching, he's hoping to be a truck driver someday but enjoying his freedom while he can). Anyway... I reached out to him out of the blue just to see how he's been these past few years... turns out we've lived 5 minutes from eachother ALL our lives without even realizing it. So we met up for lunch one day and our friendship is EXACTLY the same as it was 4 years ago... like so much has changed but we still know eachother so well
