im autistic and one of my biggest special interests is CARTOONS!
this drawing is just a bunch of random cartoons and things i grew up with as someone born in the late 90s.
one of my favorite things to do is look at the tags in the reblogs of this silly little ms paint doodle ive made and see how happy its made people to remember things from their childhood theyd forgotten about
My favorite thing ever is when the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles wear clothes to disguise themselves as humans:
Seeing them try to wear human clothes is one of my favorite things.

In a 1992 issue of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Magazine, there was a one shot where the ninja turtles meet Garfield, who introduces himself as "Garfello," an orange turtle armed with a pizza cutter, who hoped to eat the Turtles' pizza pies. This is particularly notable in that it was plotted by Jim Davis, creator of Garfield, institution, and one of the greatest living Americans.
They are supporting the newcomers! Can't wait for Mutant Mayhem!
Crazy how some of the best animated movies of the year didn't even come from Disney or Dreamworks, y'know, the two companies famous for their animated films.
When left alone, and with no corporate interference, various species of artists and writers are able to flourish and establish unique, diverse, and creative ecosystems that then allow for fresh new ideas to bloom and be done well. Showing the reliance of the human desire to create with passion and soul. Thus, nature can, and will heal.
I 100% understand that they were meant to be an in-universe stand in for the Ninja Turtles and their rise as pop culture icons, but man, I kinda want a Ronin Ragdolls series. Not a full ongoing, maybe just a 4 issue limited series, but you cant just throw me a fascinating concept like this and not expect me to get obsessed.
I can and will infect everyone else with my samurai/onna-bugeisha cat brainrot. That is a threat.
I now physically own this comic, so yeah, you can call me a fan.
...Did anyone else just get the theme song to “Samurai Pizza Cats!” playing in their head?

I LOVE all of the TMNT merchandise that has been showing up because of mutant mayhem. I literally died when I saw this, look at how cute. BRB drawing baby Donnie in this.

Wanna know something interesting? Disney had a rule called “65 and DONE.” This meant that, no matter HOW popular, a show was only allowed 65 episodes before it it was finished and the studio moved on to another project.
Well, Kim Possible reached that 65 number, AND had a movie finale to finish it off. It was over. DONE. It had it’s popular run, at good amount of episodes, AND a large scale finale to end all things.
BUT!
Fans were NOT done.
Before facebook, before instagram, before twitter and TikTok. Fans all over the world, sent THOUSANDS OF LETTERS to Disney. So many, that DISNEY BROKE IT’S OWN RULE, to bring it back for a full FOURTH SEASON! I’m not talking 13 episodes to placate the fans. KP had a full 22 episodes.
So if this show can be OVER but still RISE From the ashes, I don’t see why ROTTMNT can’t! I know everyday the fandom feels like it’s shrinking, like more people are moving on, but impossible things have happened before.
Send me ideas on what you like to do to save Rise. Work together. Say something, draw something, make something, send something. You’re voice counts!
To all the people who say that these films are copying and/or ripping off Spider-verse because they have similar animation styles:
It legitimately aggravates me when people say that this art/media is copying this other art/media just because it committed the oh so heretical act of having common elements. Like when people say that "The Owl House is ripping off Amphibia because they have similar premises", or that "this cartoon art style is generic because bean mouths" or some shit.
As a person who still trying to grow as a digital artist, I know for a fact that creativity is not simply just conjuring up something completely different from everything else out of thin air. It's about taking certain elements and qualities and arranging and reassembling them in a way that's unique.
There's no denying that Spider-verse was nothing short of revolutionary when it came to its animation, but even though the above 4 films clearly have many things in common with Spider-verse (and each other), they each still have many other qualities and subtleties that make their animation styles stand out on their own.
They were all inspired by Spiderverse and that’s a GOOD thing
Hell, Shrek was inspired by Disney to become the anti-Disney movie
Luca was inspired by Ghibli Movies
We should be encouraging this inspiration, the unoriginal art of copying elements, because that’s what every artist does
Musicians sample music (Star Wars has a surprising number of Western samples in its OST) and authors sample tropes (as well as defy those tropes, but you have to know the rules before you break them)
You can’t say “omg why are you drawing with pastels that’s MY thing” because everyone is free to create art in their favorite formats using their favorite tools
Spiderverse sparked a revolution in visual media and I for one CAN’T WAIT to see more of the after-effects
