I'm watching the Craig of The Creek movie rn, and oh my God, MY SCOUT BABIES IT'S THEM.

Spoilers for Craig Before The Creek below:

WHOSE THAT GURL WITH THEM IS SHE LIKE LIKE AN OLDER SISTER/MENTOR TO THEM. OKAY, SO SHE'S CLEARLY A FELLOW SCOUT AND WOULD BE LIKE A MENTOR TOWARDS THEM.

Based on how Boris held her hand and the way Jason smiled at her comment towards getting the friend group name correct, that could be to imply they were rather close to her. Especially Boris. I doubt they're related by blood or law. However, I do think they had a big sister bond with her when they became scouts. According to Google, you can be a scout as young as kindergarten to 5th grade, and the oldest you can be a scout is 18.

My headcanon is that she is the reason why the scouts started going to the creek, and she would show them around it and guide them, I get a very strong older sister vibe from her. Much like Mari from Omori, let's hope she didn't play the piano...

I don't know how many years the movie takes place before the movie (at least not yet). However, I stirred up some guesses. Jason seems to be 10-11 in the show like Craig, so based on how young the scouts look, my guess will have to be that they are 6-7 years old (possibly 8 years old for Boris). So, 3-4 years before the show.

Imo, Jason seems to be happier in that scene, and in my opinion, Jason in the show isn't a very happy child if we exclude certain scenes. So, assuming the theory that Jason's mother is dead is true, we can assume the movie takes place before the tragedy.

In conclusion, this is what I stirred up for Jason (after the movie and before the show): I still have my headcanon that Jason's mother cheated on Jason's father, rooting their divorce. Jason's clearly upset by this as he begins seeing his mother a less, and his father is growing distant. However, he still had the girl we see in the movie for guidance and comfort. I do think that Jason was still pretty lonely in his childhood, so when his parents weren't around, he had her to act as an older sister for him.

But then, tragedy strikes, and Jason's mother is dead. Life begins to suck more for Jason, he now lives with just his dad and now he's straight up ignoring him and only remembers he exists in order to brag about Jason's achievements as a Forest Scout and to top it off he drags in Jason's step mother. And she clearly doesn't like him as much.

But at least he still has-

Oh, she's leaving too.

Jason's sister figure ages out of being a scout and leaves, leaving him to handle his new home situation.

I still think that Boris and the girl were the closest to each other and meant the most to each other. I think she loved them like little brothers and she loved showing around the new Forest Scouts and showing them the ropes. But Jason, Boris, and Tony stuck out to her THE MOST. She acted as an older sister to the younger scouts and maybe even stood up for them when the fellow older scouts were teasing them. She loved the scouts like little brothers, but time caught up with her, and she could no longer be a scout.

I love overanalyzing so much, you have no idea. I missed my scouts so much but now that they're back I can do SO MUCH WITH THEM NOW AHH

Also, do not think I didn't see the girl and (present) Tony having similar hats. Imma just go crazy with that and make the headcanon that she gave Tony that hat when she left. (I know her hat is a little different, but let me have fun).

And another thing, maybe she's the camp counselor we see in Camper On The Run. They have a lot of physical similarities, I need to see the episode again after watching the movie.

Edit:Just got done watching the movie, and the credits confirm that girl is the woman we see looking for Roxy in Camper On The Run and that she was indeed a fellow scout. Shannon is credited as Shannon the Scout rather than just Shannon. So, this could be a lead for my theory/headcanon being true. Someone on the COTC subreddit said that in the movie, Kelsey says she is in the second grade, and she is 9 in the show, so that would mean that the movie takes place 2 years before the show.

Now, let's get back to Shannon with this new information. The youngest to become a camp counselor is 16 and when I googled the age you can no longer be a scout I got multiple answers, but the most common one is 18. So we are safe to assume that Shannon left at 17-18 aka the estimate for when a Junior Forest Scout can no longer be a scout. I assume Shannon is 15-16 at the time of the movie and left at 17-18. So we can assume Shannon is probably 18-20 at the time of Camper On The Run.

Since she went to the creek, I wonder if she got to see Boris, Tony, and Jason again briefly. I NEED SOMEONE TO WRITE A FIC WITH ALL THEM PLEASE.

Daydream Hour Page - How to make an Elven Communication Fairy (Homunculus)

I just did this using Google's machine translation tools, and I didn't clean it up, but you can get the gist of it. I saw Japanese fans on twitter going wild with this information the day the Daydream hour came out, so I already knew there was something about blood and semen, but it's so fun to get more information about how the fairies work!!!

Keep an eye on Savaralyn 's tumblr because I'm sure they'll post a better, cleaned up version of this soon, and reblog that one because it'll be easier to understand but... This is just so cool! The fairies are homunculus, and so the reason they look like their owners is because they're literally made of their semen (reproductive fluids) and fed their blood. Blood and semen and other body fluids are frequently used in real world magic or religious rituals so it's really cool that Kui is being unflinching about using it here, even if it's "gross" to us modern people... I love seeing it acknowledged in a fictional work! tl;dr alchemists used to believe that there was A Little Man inside the sperm but because the baby sometimes looks like the mother, they are absorbing traits from her through the Blood.... and so if they can make a baby Only With Sperm they can make a little man 100% in their own image. But Dungeon Meshi and especially the elves don't seem to have the same sexism that we have in the real world... Real world alchemists wouldn't think about how women are supposed to do alchemy without semen, they just would exclude women I'm pretty sure, but elves don't seem to exclude female elves so, how are female elves getting their fairies? Either: - Only male elves can make a fairy and so they construct them for female elves. - Female elves need to get semen from a male elf (or whoever, does it have to be elven semen?) to make their fairies. - Female elves use female ejaculate (Ryoko Kui confirming female ejaculation real in Dungeon Meshi universe??? Joking) - Female elves use menstrual fluid that has a shed egg in it instead of semen (equivalent reproductive fluid to male semen)

If you have to get someone else's semen for your fairy does it not look like you? Does it look like a mix because you use your blood and their semen? Does the blood need to be regularly given to power the fairy? What if someone doesn't have enough mana - can Tallmen make fairies? Would they be able to make a fairy if they had an extra mana source (like a dungeon, or an elf) to regularly feed the fairy blood?

This is just such a cool bit of worldbuilding in such an unlikely place!!! Everything in Dungeon Meshi is so fascinating. I can't wait to get my Daydream hour in the mail from Japan. In case you haven't seen it, here's the other page we've gotten on the fairies:

As you can see, only Mithrun and the Queen's fairies look substantially different from them. Possibly the queen's bodily fluids are too sacred/precious to be used in this manner? What if somebody tries to usurp the throne or something (more problematic with a male ruler but still an issue if you have magic maybe...) and Mithrun... well, hard to get semen out of him. So his may be made by someone else but fed by him with his blood? (Could have been grown from a donation by his brother? The hair color is right but not the eyes... but Mithrun's blood may be influencing the appearance?)

Avatar
yardsards

it's implied by this comic that flamela and the queen are the only elves alive with that skin colour

so flamela probably couldn't have gotten a sperm donation from another elf with the same skin colour as her. and yet, her fairy has the same skin/hair/eyes as her. so there's 3 main possibilities here:

-the semen doesn't matter very much in terms of deciding the fairy's appearance, it's mostly the blood that matters

-(cis) female elves just use a different type of their own body fluid in place of sperm

-flamela is a trans woman and could just use her own sperm (neat, but doesn't answer any questions about how it works for cis women)

(tangentially, i wonder if it's better somehow to have a fairy made from your own fluids/that looks like you, or if it's simply more convenient to just use your own fluids? and if it's just for convenience's sake, do you think there's an industry of making and selling fairies?)

Fionna and Cake theory: Simon the Artist

Nothing like a good old creative panic attack.

Fionna and Cake good. Haven’t been excited about a show like this in a long time, though it being a part of Adventure Time does help quite a bit. I was holding on to some cautious optimism for the show when it was announced as yet another big IP series covering the multiverse (still waiting to groan at THAT scene where Prismo has to explain to us about there being infinite universes), but as usual, Adventure Time’s crew continues to surprise me with its creativity, humor, and thematic resonance.

The most striking part about Fionna and Cake so far is just how deliberately the show wants us to differentiate it from the original Adventure Time.

We’re getting shots where Simon pops an artery from his arm, a theme song that explicitly talks about suicidal ideation, discussions of rent and financial problems, and curses no longer disguised with AT’s usual dialogue. Adventure Time has always had violence, thematic density, and juvenile rating pushers, but they were always reserved at small points. Meanwhile, these are factors that are just casually shown and discussed in Fionna and Cake every 3 minutes or so. This is not an all-ages miniseries, it’s for young adults. (hint: this will be relevant later)

Let’s get right into it. This is much less a speculative lore theory and more on what thematic direction the story may be going.

Before we do, let’s get this out of the way first. This theory assumes that the current Fionna and Cake world is all a part of Simon’s head and not merely a separate multiverse, which… I’m certain is fact for the following reasons.

The immediately obvious piece is that Fionna and Cake was always the Ice King’s fanfiction. Now if you’re versed in AT’s continuity you’re probably going to be asking about the red light in Fionna and Cake + Fionna and… I’ve no answer for it unfortunately. It’ll probably be relevant later in the series and possibly age this post like milk but for now, we’re not here to focus on the how, but the why.

Second is that the intro and the ending of Ep 2 literally show Fionna’s world spilling right out of Simon’s head like an animated world out of a frozen brain. If that isn’t clear enough-

Didn't realize this until writing, but these glasses are just plastic made to look like Betty's

There’s no other explanation for this other than that this world is artificial or influenced by Simon in some sense. Fionna even specifies that the statue went under renovation 12 years ago, but nobody seems to know who it is. Considering how Finn looks in the episode, it’s likely that it’s been that long since Betty’s sacrifice in the finale.

With that out of the way, here it goes.

The reason Fionna and Cake exist in the first place is because the creators found Natasha Allegri’s genderswap designs charming and wanted an in-universe reason to use them the Ice King wanted to create trashy, wish fulfillment through art. It was a phase.

Definitely changed that image for publishing.

Simon can argue if they’re good or bad but it’s undeniably his art. It’s not just a portfolio he left behind in a closet, it’s an experience that was shared with a larger audience.

And even if wasn’t liked at first, the citizens of Ooo seemed to have come around to it. And some of them love it!

Whether Simon likes it or not, he has a fan base that is so endeared to the story he made all those years ago that they demand he makes more. Why let a good story, loved by many, go to rest when you still have some life and creativity left in you?

Can't move on in more ways than one.

Except, the problem is that Simon isn’t Ice King anymore. He’s aged out of it.

His real passion is history, frankly, there isn’t much room for wish-fulfillment and fantasy anymore. Simon has responsibilities, a job, and a daughter in a world that is moving faster than he can process.

And where Ice King wrote about looking for love, Simon has already had it.

And lost it. His mind isn’t focused on the rosiness of finding new love, it’s grieving the one he already thought was the one.

Wasn't he supposed to be good with kids?

Despite his new life experiences, all his peers seem to want from him is to make more of what they’re familiar with.

A story made from wants and wishes that he doesn’t even have anymore.

A story that was literally made by someone else at a different time. It’s a fiction he cannot connect to anymore, art that he’s embarrassed by. Yet also jealous of.

Seeing it again is like experiencing a retrospection of a cringey loser you don’t want to imagine having ever been. It’s not you anymore, and you don’t want to be reminded of that.

Because despite him having a new creative passion, no one seems to care about that. All they want is Fionna and Cake. And what is more lonely than other people misunderstanding what you’re trying to express?

If I failed to make it clear somehow, my theory is that: Simon’s relationship with Fionna and Cake is a metaphor for creators growing out of their art. And this new Fionna and Cake world is still comfort art born out of Simon’s current desires and perceptions.

The snippet subtitles this “child holding a phone”. I guess I’m wrong. Essay over.

Episode 1 and 2 both have direct parallels with each other. They’re both about a protagonist that’s feeling displaced from their world, living a phase of losing a significant other, leaving a thankless job, seeking a guru at the heart of the forest, and concluding that they no longer belong in their current world.

But more importantly, Fionna and Cake (the characters, the world, and the show) are no longer for an all-ages crowd. Fionna and Cake now feature young adults, curses, gore, alcohol, partial nudity, financial issues, morning routines, mid-life crisis, and overt suicidal ideation. These are the feelings that Simon relates to and possibly desires to express through art. Thus, his story and our new miniseries have warped that way.

Am I overthinking this? No. How dare you assume that.

Is equating the unconscious writings of his dementia-ridden self to Simon as his younger self seem a bit odd? ….Kinda. Again, it’s not the how but the why that matters in this case. I'm NOT crazy, I have proof that there is some acknowledgment of this directly in the show.

Rewatch the bar scene and apply this reading of the episode to what Simon says there:

“Your old stuff, Fionna and Cake, honest to glob my man, is an inspiration to me.”

“My old stuff, I don’t really want to talk about my old stuff…”

“Why not? You should be proud! You wrote an entire extended universe in a fugue state if you think about it.”

"Simon cringes"

If you have ever shared art with a group of people in the past, you’ve had this conversation.

Not likely, not possibly, no perhapses. You HAVE.

And Fionna and Cake being an epilogue to a massive award-winning, near-decade-spanning, cultural sensation 5 years after it ended, might result in its creators feeling very retrospective about what audiences want from them now.

And how difficult it’s going to be to tell new experiences and tones from what’s come before. Also, come on. “Extended Universe?” That doesn’t sound like Fionna and Cake. That sounds a lot like something else.

Again, seems bad with this kid.

One of the more profound shots in the main trailer for the show features the inconspicuously Finn-like kid crouching at her Fionna and Cake book in Simon’s trash. I believe this character is going to have a major role in two ways. Convincing Simon to be proud of what he’s accomplished and/or embracing that Simon wants to move away from his original work in order to create something new, or perhaps more likely, reinvent Fionna and Cake into what Simon relates to now.

We’ll just have to see what Simon thinks of his new Fionna next week.

PS. Talking as a fan now, WHAT IS UP WITH THE 1000+ TREEHOUSE IN THE INTRO?!!! ARE WE REVISITING THIS TIMELINE AGAIN?

SOMEONE TELL ME NOW!!!

Leelathae (Queen Lilyth)'s Ghost Theory

I honestly want to write much longer but held back because brainrot currently (anxiety attack and very unfocused even doing what I like, my Coping escape mechanism failed in the face of looking red deadline IRL) - enough about me!

Just wanna share my theory that actually the first theory that I wrote in Discord but never share here at CPC BLR. The statement of theory

"What if another 'off-comment' from Frederick becomes big plot point, with the following pieces shown that the item (confirmed Potrait) that Leland stole more than decade ago from Pastel Palace - actually keep Leelathae's soul/spirit/ghost and could help Gwen?" Confirmed in the Unhappily-ever-after episodes

The other thing that I could see happen im the future which is the remain episodes of CPC is, (see after the following 2 images) Lilyth's ghost seeps in Gwen's dream as 'warm and glowy' entity yet not only reminder that Gwen and her are beautiful in their own way, pointing out how similar their interaction with their romantic loved ones (Jack and Frederick) - Lilyth'll shown Gwen that none all her faults, everyone loves her espc Frederick shown to genuinely loves her instead Gwen's initial thought that he never loves her

I wonder how LambCat incorporate with CPC main theme of "self-love" as some still iffy or rightfully concerned with tethering self-opinion of Gwen to Frederick's opinion, but I hope this the right step! Already imagined the scene of Gwen found her mother in the Crystal room of Jamie's Art Show thus the Summarized content of Lilyth's diary told to her which helps Gwen more confidence w/ herself

^ Episode 6 and 48 reference, we know from newest free pass episode it become huge foreshadowing of the "haunted Potrait"

Somehow I feel Lilyth is like Nadeshiko Kinomoto from Cardcaptor Sakura, the mother of the MC Sakura Kinomoto. Nadeshiko passed away from long time ago but she keep her Family safe as 'a ghost' - somehow I think Lilyth kind of like that ghost

^ This is Nadeshiko, she and Lilyth both have wavy hair and being a "ghost" 0.0

I have Faith in LambCat to make beautiful ending for CPC there! And being a ghost often time could give warm and glowy feeling espc to the family members - instead scared

^ The part of the CPC webtoon banner seen on mobile / LINK image

Could it be that Leelathae's ghost will meet when Gwen in this part of her future dreamscape.. the Crystal Room of Jamie's Art Show? Another foreshadowing from LambCat? Gwen already wrote her mom's robe in dream

^ If this become another foreshadowing? From the CPC OST VOL. 10

P.S: The What-If

Tbh Leland perfect ending for him pay his karma to me -> Him cursed to swapped place with Leelathea to be trapped in the potrait instead (the only downside is the witch's term)

Like what if No one will ever listen to home ever again (like someone that considered going senile) - while all his Family members then finally free from him (with Isolde help career of LeoMie in road of beauty of the food, when she's finally free means she could do anything + I hope she back to emo style again, it really suits her ngl ) + (In the end, Frederick officially supporting CPC that become public [my theory of CPC ending, one of ideal but could be dangerous-thou-I-believe-they-can-manage-it] and happily ever after with Gwendolyn) + (sorry for Blaine and Lance fans there, but I think they're best if going therapy Whitney-style goes to the monastery - it simple life but bet free of toxicity that they're keep exposed too long) .. also idk Jack and Leland resolution, but Jackie also need to get his 'bubble' pop off and waking up to reality -> that he doing the very thing that he hates everyone's expectation to him, to his own daughters

Yooo the foreshadowing tho!!!

Spy x Family Theory: Loid's Mission Is Fake (SPOILERS)

Spy x Family is a popular manga series that has received an anime adaptation. The main premise of the series is a nameless spy (codenamed Twilight and later "Loid" to masquerade as a psychiatrist) is given the assignment "Operation Strix." His target, Donovan Desmond, is the leader of the National Unity Party, a political party that could threaten to escalate tensions between Westalis and Ostania.

But seeing that Donovan was a recluse, Loid has to adopt a child to enroll them into the esteemed Eden Academy (while unaware that his adopted daughter has telepathy) and later "marries" Yor who herself hides a dirty little secret: that being a professional assassin.

With that being said, there appears to be something off about the mission. For one, while Donovan is billed as being the main antagonist of the series, he rarely appears despite being a crucial person of interest. In fact, he is never actually shown performing "nefarious" acts. At best, it could be said that he is a neglectful parent who seemed to not really care much that his second-son Damian got decked across the room by Anya. Later chapters in the manga have him outright say that he finds his family strangers.

Where I am getting at overall is that while Donovan looks like someone drug up Edgar Allen Poe's corpse and left it to dry for ten days, it is more than likely that the organization Loid works for is overplaying his threat level. But the question, obviously, would be why?

I am suggesting that WISE fabricated Operation Strix so Loid could get a life outside of his spy work by settling down.

Sounds ludicrous, but thinking about it, it does make some sense. I always thought Loid had to specifically get a kid (and later saw that having a spouse would be mandatory for the interview). But considering how Donovan himself isn't close to his kids since he viewed them as "strangers," it makes getting intimate with him for the mission more implausible. So what if Loid adopting Anya was actually NOT really important?

You may ask when they decided to fake the mission? I believe we've been clued into it from the beginning. As you may recall, Loid was doing one of his missions until eventually he outright goes "screw it" and tells his date they should break up.

So, once that plan goes wrong, they decide to do the next best thing. As for why they are so preoccupied with getting their best spy hitched and/or adopting a child? Would have to go with his backstory: in the manga series, Loid did not have the best upbringing: his home was attacked by Ostania and his mother was killed. He was left all alone to fend for himself undoubtedly giving him a good bit of trauma. That's pretty much the reason why he becomes attached to Anya: because he would see some of himself in her especially after finding out she was consistently taken back to orphanages.

But it is also because serving WISE would be a long-time commitment. With all that pressure, it is really another ploy by the organization to ultimately get Loid to retire.

The biggest piece of evidence that Operation Strix is really just a front comes when Anya finally does get into Eden Academy after being placed on the waiting list: to commemorate it, Loid has to pull a few strings to recreate the scenes from Anya's favorite spy show.

Of course, several agents are in on it largely because they were fanboying over being in the same room as Loid, but what if they were also informed about the true purpose of Strix and are playing along? Could also explain why Handler is ticked off: because they are putting in such a MASSIVE budget just because they can't just be outright and say "Hey, Loid, we appreciate all the work you've done for us for years, but we feel you need your own life so maybe retire please retire?"

Loid would obviously not take the bait if they were upfront with him. So, what better way to get him to "retire" and settle down than to create a false story by claiming that this guy Donovan is dangerous so you need to get a kid and put them into Eden Academy. That is not to say that the political party is NOT dangerous or threatens the peace, but they could be deliberately demonizing Donovan just to make the lies stick.

So, in short, the mission Loid thinks he is in is not real and was an elaborate ploy to get him to retire and have his own family after suffering trauma and things no man should ever suffer when he was a kid. He would take the bait hook, line, and sinker, but not realize that by doing so he would actually grow attached to his "fake family" until he could no longer tell the difference?

Lol 🤣🤣

Yeah, I also feel this way.

Twilight is that kind of perso who only know how to work. So how to tell him to relax a bit and find himself happiness? By making him work a mission to get a family, and fall slowly for the family without him realizing.

This will be the biggest twist ever 🤣🤣

However, in a sxf way, somehow the Forgers will be caught up in a real trouble that will ensure the peace between West and East. Troubles always follow that family anyway 😁😁

Reincarnation Theory

I got this from the episode Rewriting History that ended with the museum getting a new exhibit dedicated to do three historical figures from Greece/Rome who resembled Kim, Ron, and Drakken. Some think they there are their ancestors but what if they were actually previous incarnations of them.

In another life Kim was a Greek princess who masqueraded as a masked warrior to protect Greece from the tyrannical King of Rome (Drakken’s previous incarnation) who is leading an army to takeover Greece. Meanwhile in Ron’s former life he is a Roman shepherd who’s constantly belittled and disrespected by everyone in both Greece and Rome except for the princess who befriends him.

One day the shepherd accidentally learns the princess’s secret but promises to keep it. Unlike everyone else in his life, the princess sees the shepherd’s hidden potential for greatness so she decides to allow him to work alongside her against the advisor’s forces. With her help and support, he steps up to become a formidable gladiator. Together they foil each of the king’s plans while fighting many of gladiators that he recruits which includes an Amazon type woman (Shego’s incarnation, assuming that she had one).

Over time the partnership between the princess and the shepherd grows stronger and they eventually fall in love but their relationship is kept a secret. The king finally raises an army strong enough to threaten Greece which leads to a war breaking out. At this time the princess becomes betrothed to another so the shepherd proposes that they elope together. She agrees but can’t bring herself to leave her people in their time of need so they make plans to leave after the war ends.

During the war he leads the Greek army against the Roman army though secretly she’s really leading them. The battle rages on with the king of Rome being defeated but his Amazon like second in command learns the masked warrior’s secret identify, that she’s the mastermind behind Rome’s failure, and overhears her plans of running away with her secret fiance.

Out of revenge, the king of Rome jump the lovers on the night of their elopement and kills the princess. Enraged the shepherd kills the king thus freeing Rome from his tyranny and causing him to be regarded as a hero in both cities that mocked him but this brings him no happiness because the love of his life and the true hero of his victory is dead.

He later dies of a broken heart but fate pities the young lovers and has them be reincarnated as childhood best friends turned lovers so that they will always be together. And fate decided to punish the Roman king and his second in command by having them be reincarnated into villains who would always face defeat when going up against the lovers who’s happiness they had stolen.

The reason why Kim and Ron are so close is because they were always meant to be together and the reason for Ron being so protective of her (even before they were dating) is that he is subconsciously determined not to have the woman he loves taken from him again.

So that’s my theory. Those Greek/Roman figures mentioned at the end of the episode Rewriting History were not ancestors of Kim, Ron, and Drakken by previous incarnations of them. Keep in mind that this is just a theory and it’s probably not true but what do you think? Does this seem possible? (No pun intended.)

"...the subject and her friend continue to show remarkable potential."

Interesting choice of words! It's as if they know Miko is invulnerable to the mind wipe effects; after all, they have a particular interest in her. Five is just "her friend." The only interest they have in him is simply by association with her.

"These may be the Techs that can help us locate Bolypius."

Even more interesting: who, or what, is Bolypius? Why would Miko and Five be able to help? If they know about Miko, then her invulnerability might play a big role in this task. How?

Say the Techs need access to certain secret information to locate this person/place/thing. Say no one wants them to have access to this information; they'll be mind-wiped and that info is lost. But Miko? She won't forget. All speculation, but an interesting thought!

One more thing: in this scene, she scrolls from Miko to Five. But pay attention to the dots on top: Miko is the second dot, Five is the third. Who are the other three?

That's all for now, feel free to add on anything else you noticed in this little scene!

Watching Glitch Techs, and I’m REALLY hoping it turns out that Hinobi tech are the bad guys in all of this.

Because for real, they knowingly release game consoles that can create energy based organisms of VARYING intelligence, capable of all manner of outward effects.

Imagine if people’s minds WEREN’T wiped after the glitches were caught, they’d face the worst class action lawsuit a tech company could ever GET!

And for real, WHAT actual reason do they have for wiping people’s minds, OTHER than them not knowing that their personal game console is capable of catastrophic danger?

Lotta potential with this, hope they use it!

Not gonna lie, I thought Mitch and Hinobi Tech were the bad guys in the very beginning with how he was acting/the mind wipe technology! Then it turned out that Mitch was just selfish (if Hinobi is evil, I doubt most the Glitch Techs would know).

But the inspector contacted a mysterious person and thinks that Miko and Five show potential that can help “The Company” with their goal. She works for Hinobi. And the goal of “The Company” is pretty interesting:

Is Bolypius another company? A person? I would assume that whatever it is, it’s actually something good. It would be very interesting if the organization our heroes join in the very beginning is on the wrong side of the conflict!

Although, truth be told with the movie, I’m not too sure what to feel with the canon school aspect of it.  I know school exists in Pokemon, but that was long ago and not sure how to feel about the reintroduction of it.  It’s such a normie thing to utilize.

Reintroduction? School’s always been there, actually–all the main characters went to school before going on their journeys (ex: Max teases May about a boy she liked in school) and it’s canon some continue school to pursue other things (ex: there’s Sally who’s going to medical school in Best Wishes!), we never stop seeing schoolboys or schoolgirls in series. Cheren’s a school teacher!! (Besides, who’s to say school in the Pokemon world itself would still include Pokemon in some way!)

I don’t think we’ll focus too much on the school setting itself, anyway!

Lisa’s being asked by her younger sibling to catch a Pokemon and she seems quite taken aback by it, her being a normie is the whole point–she’s got no interest in Pokemon for her own reasons, but we also see her being touched by Eevee’s struggles despite its injured leg (I think that’s supposed to call back to her injured sibling too, clever), “why are you going this far…?”

She might have a May-style change of heart! Maybe she’s got her own interesting reasons too (maybe she’ll break our hearts like Sorrel–or maybe it’s just superficial!)…
