Muppet Fact #1052
Originally, Kermit was going to be sitting on a lilly pad and not a log during the "Rainbow Connection" scene in The Muppet Movie, but it was easier to hide Jim Henson and position Kermit using the log.

Big Bird has had cameo roles in Muppet films The Muppet Movie and The Muppets Take Manhattan, and in the television special A Muppet Family Christmas.

I’d argue The Muppet Movie is a cameo, but his extended appearance (along with the rest of the Sesame street crew) as characters in A Muppet Family Christmas (including getting his own song) is not. I’ll be honest, I do not remember the plot of Muppets Take Manhattan to remember if that’s a cameo or not.
the corporations that own the Muppets desperately trying to pretend the Muppets wouldn't 100% be striking with the WGA and SAG-AFTRA
The Lovers, The Dreamers… and I forgot who else.
A great behind the scenes photo of Jim Henson and Kathryn Mullen in the water from performing Kermit in the famous opening rainbow connection - banjo scene in the Muppet Movie, 1979.
Jim Henson squeezed into a specially designed metal container complete with an air hose (to breathe), a rubber sleeve which came out of the top (to work Kermit) and a monitor (to see what Kermit was doing), and positioned himself under the water, under the log, under the Frog. Jim spent about five days in this bathysphere. (It’s not easy…)
KERMIT IS BEING BAPTIZED
The Muppets' first live appearance at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade was in 1979 as a promotion for The Muppet Movie. The ensemble was led by Miss Piggy in a Rolls Royce, with everyone else in tow in the Electric Mayhem bus.

If Disneyplus can have take two with Phineas and Ferb then I don’t see why studio D.C. almost live isn’t on there. I don’t care if it only lasted two episodes. They have the lodge. The LODGE. Recompense must be made. Besides buying the rights to Archie and Sabrina thereby eradicating the Netflix bs from the face of the earth, this is how they can do right. So hop to it Disney please
They also don’t have any of the specials with John Denver.
This article has some theories about that

Yesterday we lost one of our most versatile performers ever! Cloris Leachman had a career spanning over 7 decades in stage, film and television. She won various accolades, including eight Primetime Emmy Awards from 22 nominations, making her the most nominated and, along with Julia Louis-Dreyfus, most awarded actress in Emmy history. In addition, she won an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Daytime Emmy Award. I chose a pic from one of my all time favorite movies, Young Frankenstein (1974), directed by the legendary Mel Brooks! RIP Frau Blücher!
