Netflix cartoons really out here destroying those typical, heteronormative, and sometimes toxic female x male tropes Huh?

First we have the Hollow with Adam calmly rejecting Mira after she pressed a kiss on him and rekindled their friendship afterward. (Not saying this makes him gay or bi or whatever <tho it would be cool if he was> just a nice twist to a common trope.)

Then Miraculous Ladybug when Marinette could have accepted Felix’s forced kiss (since at that moment, she thought Felix was Adrien) but didn’t care about him looking like Adrien, told him no meant no, and decked him on the spot. (You go girl!)

And THEN!!! Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts when Kipo confesses to Benson but gets rejected because he’s gay. But it wasn’t sugarcoated or forced, just a nice conversation. And after that, they, too, rekindled their friendship. (Actually, it got stronger :3c)

It’s great and very refreshing ^^
