Just A Few Childhood Shows I Like Growing Up.
Classic Disney Shows
I am aware of the cheesiness of these "old" Disney sitcoms and yet they always work for me. What made these old live-action Disney shows (save for That's So Raven) work is how they used live-settings instead of those cheap sitcom sets and canned laughter soundbites. Also the adults were more charismatic with their characters and they didn't feel like amateur playhouse actors.

This is from That’s So Raven, where Chelsea and Raven apply to work at the same clothing shop. Chelsea is white; Raven is black. Chelsea gets the job, despite being utterly horrible at it, while Raven, who has a deep interest in fashion and knows how to handle clothes, does not. The girls find this deeply suspicious, so Chelsea wears a hat with a camera on it and questions the employer. The employer admits what she does in the gif above and Chelsea and Raven submit the footage to a news station.

And THAT is why That’s So Raven is the best TV show ever.
The last ENJOYABLE and somewhat relatable Disney Channel original sitcom, at least until Girl Meets World premieres.

Don’t you just love (sarcasm) how all of the amazing shows like Kim possible and That’s So Raven have been replaced by shows with terrible actors, such as Austin and Ally and A.N.T Farm? God that’s so annoying!!! We should start a tumblr alliance that brings those shows back.
The writing and the acting in the latest live action shows make it out like they aren’t even trying. The animated shows they do show just doen’t have the same Disney heart. Gravity Falls feels too nickelodeon for Disney, Phineas and Ferb are written by the same people who wrote episodes of Family Guy (a show which a don’t really care for). Fish Hooks is just ..meh. Disney XD has it’s occasional rare jewels once in a while but it would be nice if Kim Possible came back for a new season.
