The only way I see this King Of the Hill revival work is if they actually age up the characters.

It’s not the static Simpsons or the off kilter Family Guy. It’s a more grounded show.

Have it set decades after the original show.

I have this idea where Peggy’s friend group changed.

Barb Davis (formerly known as Kat Savage) and Carolyn the Drag Queen are the ones she regularly hangs out with.

Minh has moved out of the neighborhood and now lives in a retirement town with her husband Kahn.

We get to see more of John Redcorn’s family. His sister (who disapproves of his Casanova life style) and his daughter who learned long ago that he was her father and that Joesph is her biological half brother and which is why she’s keeping her distance with him.

Nancy has since passed away and ironically was the one to die stupidly and not Dale.

This continuation would the one where Dale and Joesph find out about their actual blood relation. Albeit separately. Joesph would find out himself who his blood father was. Joseph confronts John Redcorn about it and he just confirms it privately. After that Joesph just moves on choosing to keep considering Dale his true father. Dale actually reveals he had known on a subconscious level that he wasn’t the one to “sire” Joseph but chose not to outright confirm it. He figured since Nancy continued to stay married to him and “only” kept to John Redcorn Dale figured he has no reason to break up the family. Especially for Joesph’s sake and with Dale’s infertility (which he found out privately long ago), he figured it was his only chance to be a father and happily passed his athletic son as his own biologically. So both Joesph and Dale both figured it out separately but chose not to outright say it to each other since it doesn’t matter to them. Dale and Joesph are father and son regardless of blood.

Also we get to see Peggy and Hank go to court-mandated therapy which resulted from the insistence of a social worker who has become a regular after they take their teenage grandniece and Hank’s half brother G.H. in. The former will depend whether they’ll replace Lucky and Luanne’s voice actors or just let the characters die with them. G.H. is staying with Hank and Peggy because of a fight he got in with his stepfather.

What I’m thinking for Bobby is that he became a comedian like he dreamed of which led to him becoming a creator, director and producer of his own sitcom. He would return to Arlen to shoot scenes for his Wonder Years-esqe tv show which gives him the excuse to visit home and reconnect with Connie. Connie would be a divorced mother of a young son who’s doing a YouTube channel on violin lessons.

Kim Possible: 17/11/2021: By Hero Central:

Recently saw the trailer for The Proud Family Louder and Prouder on Disney+ Though I’ve seen the odd episode if they decided to revive that I hope they consider on reviving Kim Possible too. So here’s some artwork inspired by the style of said show.

I’M SCREAMING IT’S PERFECT

Guys, I can’t express how delighted I am by this. Rocko was my favorite Nicktoon growing up, bar none, and I’ve always dreaded the idea of them rebooting it because it could go so, so wrong.

Because Rocko was not a cynical show! Or even particularly snarky! There was definitely some barbed social commentary in it, but it was always done in a lighthearted wink and nudge sort of way – laughing at the foibles of modernity, but not being mean about it. It wasn’t a South Park or Ren and Stimpy-style withering nihilistic bitchfest. Like, you know that one “humans as the idiot babies of space travel” post that’s all “they have reached the edge of their backyard and found rocks!” It’s like that. It points at some of the dumb stuff we do but not in an “everyone is stupid and terrible” way, just “hah! Look how silly we are!”

There’s a food truck selling taco tacos (inside another taco) and a gritty grimdark 3D IMAX Really Really Big Man movie and I am out of my mind with glee!

Thank God, the new Rocko’s Modern Life revival is a satire of reboots and today’s culture. Seems like the writers actually know what they’re doing, they’re not adding current trends and technology as a desperate attempt to relate to kids. Instead, they’re making fun them. They even kept the old art style. I’m really hyped for this, Hey Arnold: Jungle Movie and the Invader Zim movie. Nick is actually doing these old shows justice, while Cartoon Network still has Teen Titans Go and that fuckin’ blasphemous Powerpuff Girls reboot.
