The community has 3D printers and shit, so I’m sure we’ll see it, but we’ll also see a bunch of really good faith doll makeovers that simply steal this body from a doll because it’s a good body to customize in a previously unreleased skin tone. There’s going to be so many queen heads rolling around even just from fully apolitical people, but I wonder if they did this on purpose knowing it would mean the doll would do numbers so they could pretend it was that people love the queen.

I’m just waiting till the customizers I watch get their hands on one. I already have about 8 dolls waiting for me to finish modifying them so I’m not in the market for any for the foreseeable future, unfortunately.

Two reasons 1) Real history, it's Guy Fawkes Day, a day celebrating the failed assassination of the monarch in 1605, so the irony of her dying on Guy Fawkes Day would be rich 2) Last year's early November was a PRETTY TENSE ONE, not only were we balls deep in Covid with the seasonal depression getting heavy, the US presidential election was still up in the air. I don't think I have to explain all the reasons everyone was extremely tense in the days between votes being collected, and the announcement of the winner, but everyone was in a State. Then Supernatural airs and a long queerbaited ship gets semi-confirmed in the most homophobic way possible, with one of them confessing his love, it being implied it was unrequited, and then him getting sent to super hell for being in gay love. It was so homophobic it was funny. And it was such a dumb nonsense piece of long running fandom lore during the most tense election most tumblr users had lived through, we all lost our collective minds at the ridiculousness of it. It was the exact height of stupid we needed to break the tension as we watched states flip between red and blue. There were also rumors about Putin resigning that spread quickly then were debunked, but caused a lot of freak outs. I'm sure there's other stuff I'm forgetting, but destiel really was the kickoff tldr; last year everyone on tumblr was the Most Stressed They'd Ever Been in Their Lives but one thing happened that was somewhat distracting so tumblr was memeing like the world was ending
