Katz Café follows Ginger Katz a jewish girl that with her mother and grandparents move to a new town, Ginger has the ability to talk to cats and felines specially her cat buddy Crumpet. The series focused on the importance of small business & community
Passed due Bob Iger’s return at Disney where his reestructure/layoffs lead a one year series orders/renewals freeze at Disney TVA in 2023 making Katz one of the affected shows despite positive reception from focus test groups.
Much like Very Important House by Jenny Goldberg and Jhonen Vasquez, Disney still owns the rights of Katz Café, let's hope someday they come to their senses and bring Ginger and Crumpet back.
Cheyenne also had another show idea a Nickelodeon Animation Studios named "Puppy Mystery" back in 2019 but was passed.
Talked with Cheyenne about this back in February, the show sounded so cute, she even liked my proposal of Diane Guerrero (Isabela Madrigal) as Ginger.
Maybe one day the Katz family will open their cat cafe at Disney Channel someday.
