Possible reunion coming in Marcy’s Journal?

A few days ago, Matt Braly teased on Twitter a possible reunion between the Calamity Trio and their friends in Amphibia in Marcy’s Journal. He said that Mr. X confiscated Terri’s portal, but that he might call up the girls one day with a “special surprise”.

That’s the good news… the bad news is that Matt said in the same tweet that Terri couldn’t possibly generate enough power to make the larger than the size of a pinhole, and that it would be just big enough to send messages through.

I hope he takes that back before Marcy’s Journal comes out, because having Sprig and Anne being only able to chat over Anne’s old phone or send letters to each would be just a complete buzzkill. Anne deserves to be able to visit Amphibia, to see Sprig in the flesh, to embrace, to hold him in her arms again and hug him like she hasn’t hugged him in 10 years. Nothing less will do.

Matt Braly may have some time to change his mind about the portal being so small, I don’t know… all I do know is that the book isn’t coming out until November 15th, which means we’ve got six months to wait before we get our hands on it.

You know, I actually thought Amphibia would end with an adult Sprig arriving at the place where he met Anne again and he remembers their time together only for Anne to sneak up on him saying hi.
